Governor Palin hits the nail on the head

On Saturday, Breitbart News published a brief interview with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Governor Palin spoke about a variety of topics, but the following part of her first answer jumped out at me (emphasis added):
Short term: I encourage others to step out in faith, jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach as believers in American exceptionalism. That means broadening our audience. I’m taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation. We can’t just preach to the choir; the message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience.
Governor Palin is exactly correct. Tea Party activists know this, which is why so many of us go to town halls. It’s why so many patriotic Americans write letters to the editor, publish press releases, and bring their opinions to a wide variety of audiences. It is fantastic for our movement that such a prominent figure is promoting this as well. Too often, Members of Congress, political operatives, and even grassroots activists look at those who disagree with them as enemies or opponents instead of future allies. This is why Republicans and Democrats so often try to split the nation between their respective voting blocs instead of winning support from a wide spectrum of Americans.
As Congress faces the three big budget battles of sequestration, Continuing Resolution, and debt ceiling over the next few months, the national staff of Tea Party Patriots has refined its own message. We’ve taken ideas that aren’t working and implemented new ones. We’ve made good strategies work better. As you do, we are always looking for ways to bring our message to the American people ever more effectively.
We don’t have to tell you how to change hearts and minds in your communities. After all, the Tea Party was founded upon the beliefs, creativity, and hard work of millions of Americans. We are seeing the results of this every week when Local and State Coordinators for Tea Party Patriots launch newsletters, e-mail blasts, organize protests, and do dozens of other creative activities to bring awareness of their goals to the general public.
Of course, the mainstream media is going to do its best to make Tea Party activists look crazy and un-American, or otherwise undermine and/or not report our efforts. But that’s old news, so keep following the sound advice of Governor Palin and keep up the great work.

Can Sarah beat Hillary and Bill in 2016? Maybe Michelle Bachmann?
Hellfire,
My prediction is Governor Palin won’t beat anybody because she won’t run. I think Representative Bachmann has as much chance to be nominated by the Republican Party as Vice President Bidon has to be nominated by the Democratic Party and is less likely to be elected than he. Don’t forget Bachmann had a hard time getting re-elected in the most Republican friendly congressional district in Minnesota.
Will – You live in Wasilla – what are your thoughts on Palin? Do you think she has a viable political future or is too damaged by the media? That book written wasn’t too helpful for her run Presidential hopes.
That quote of Palin’s sounds like it was written by a libertarian- has Palin abandoned the GOP?
Jeff,
Now that you’ve made me think about it, I don’t believe Governor Palin has ever been part of the GOP. She savaged the Good Ole Boys in Alaska. Hehehe
Hellfire,
If Governor Palin has political aspirations (I don’t think she does), I hope she keeps them within the State of Alaska. She is very polarizing and the quiet consensus here is that she is not a good leader. The unspoken consensus here is that she made many mistakes during her governorship. That aside, I love her and women like her. Also, I’m glad she busted chops up here. I have disdain for political apparatchiks and she treated them much to my liking. My paying for her mistakes in office has been worth it to me, just for that.
Wasilla Will I would love to work in Alaska on boats. Do they need boatwrights in Alaska or good wood butchers. Im about to fly my Maryland flag upside down. Alaska looks good but I do wonder what you snowbillys do when it freezes.
brotherjoe,
If you’re good at anything in the trades or service industries, you’ll do well in Alaska. LOL This snowbilly and his family spend time in the Arizona, Florida or Mexico during the Fall and again after Christmas. However, I always can’t wait to get home. You all can keep the lower forty eight.
Will – Thanks for your insight!
Hellfire,
You’re welcome, sir.
Im not so sure about the way the states can affect primarys but there were too many who blocked and thereby damaged the viability of candidates who could have won easier than Romney. I didnt like the treatment of Bachmann or other women who dont get enough credit for their efforts. Bachmann fights the fight and may well have won not having the real negatives Romney had. She is definately not a Rhino. Its so stupid that we are herded towards RHINOS and we lose as a result.People who would take a stand if they saw a candidate who makes the tough stand have excuses not to. The also rans had minor non-legislative bads either alledged or decades old. Romney authored a healthcare bill and tried to defend its honor before he voted against it (I campaigned hard for Romney in VA considering the other far worse evil) during the primary.
I love our lovely republican conservative women. They don t cave they may compromise but not on principals.I love Sara Palin, Michelle Bachmann,Gov Nikki Haley. I would vote for any of them over a RHINO
As much as I would personally love for Palin and/or Michelle Bachman to replace Obama, I can’t see the “establishment” Dem or Republican allowing it to ever come close. The entrenched power brokers are not really interested in a return to a government that is even close to what our founders concieved. It’s gone my friends. The idea lives on but the reality is so trampled on by the elietes in Washington DC that even they don’t understand that we the people are pissed off at thier handling of our children’s futures.
