Fiscally-flailing Government Threatens to Drag American Families over the Cliff
Today, Tea Party Patriots, the nation’s largest tea party organization, issued a DARE and PREDICTION regarding the so-called “fiscal cliff” crisis.
“Government has over-spent America to the edge, and now, wants to tax American workers and businesses while avoiding taking responsibility and actually solving the problem,” said Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots. “It is a government-inflicted wound on struggling American families.
“It appears, despite the rhetoric, that our government leaders are incapable of cutting government spending, but we have a challenge to the President, the Speaker and all those who are pushing us over the cliff to act now.”
THE DARE (“The Penny Plan”)
Tea Party Patriots dare the government to cut just one penny from each dollar the government spends – this year, next year, and for five years – to balance the budget. And this time, start the cuts first. If Chris Matthews and Jenny Beth Martin can agree that The Penny Plan is “reasonable,” then so can Democrats and Republicans.
Sadly, Americans have come to expect the worst from our government including that a backroom deal will be made between the Obama Administration and Congress without the knowledge or support of the American people. And rather than adopt the ‘reasonable’ Penny Plan, Tea Party Patriots predict:
THE PREDICTION
- Spending will increase, not decrease
- The debt ceiling will increase, not decrease
- Taxes will increase, not decrease
- Prices will increase for American families, not decrease
- Democrats will blame Republicans, some Republicans will blame those who want fiscal responsibility
- New deadline will create manufactured crisis in the future
- Over-taxing and over-spending will continue
“We the People are not cows to be milked, or scapegoats to be blamed,” said Martin. “We are sovereign American citizens who expect our government to live within its means and will hold them accountable if they don’t. It is our money you are spending in oblivion. We dare the government to take fiscal and personal responsibility – for a change.”
When will any of you get it. Once again the Republican Party has done it again. John Boehner decided to eliminate true fiscal conservatives from committees in the House . When will ay of you get it that these party bosses do not have an interest in we the people. The old saying goes foll me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. It is high time to no longer work within the Republican Party It is time to work within the Libertarian Party. Libertarians who have held office let us say in the local level have brought fiscal responsibility back. When they came up for re-election they were re-elected. Let’s stop chasing windmills
Tea Party? What the hell is wrong with all of us who profess to be part of the Tea Party, AKA “The American People?” There is a foreign usurper acting as President of the Uited States, who has wedged himself into the otfice through straight fraud and criminal activity. He has appointed so many communists to become his personal “czars” (a Russian term) that it could make your head swim; i.e., over 60! He has just given several generous raises to government employees! He is a crook, through and through! Why are we discussing this so-called president? Why? Also, our government is “de facto” in that it is a corporation separate from we, the people. What a bunch of nut cases we are! I thought we, the people, want a constitutionally run government! Communists cannot run our government! Why are we allowing it and calling this multi-pseudo-named “asshold” our president? You tell me! He is an imposter of the worst kind, and nobody is talking about it. He is totally ineligible to be our president. You know it. I know it. They all know it. “They” who know it and do nothing about it are nothing less than treasonous traitors to our nation. Obama is the Emperor’s new clothes — a totally naked fraud.
Agreed AG. Todays republicans should be behaving as constitutionalists to preserve or should say, restore our Republic. Ironically theyre not. Well most are not.
I WAS HOPING HE WAS ONE AND DONE, BUT INSTEAD IT IS TWO AND WE ARE DONE.
The only way we will EVER have a Republican president again is to break the unions. They are unconsitutional and prevent the upward mobility of the lower class. Break the unions or perish.
WHAT IF; WE DID NOT FILE, OR PAY OUR INCOME TAX.
DO YOU THINK CONGRESS COULD BALANCE THE BOOKS?
Will the Tea Party now solicit voters to petition to vote for term limits for the Senate & the Congress?
It should not be difficult to get volunteers to succeed at acquiring the required signatures to get this on the ballot!
Will our representatives then feel obligated to work for the American people instead of robbing us blind?
Why doesn’t the American people storm the U S Treasury and shut down the money making machines?
Make this senate and congress do their job!!!
Don’t give up the fight people-keep on keeping on!
Our Country needs More Tea Party Senators and Congressmen to stand up for our Constitutional rights. We are lost in big boat without a paddle. Our Paddle is usually playing “Golf” in Hawaii! We need to realize that we and only we the people can turn this around by practicing “Self-Governance” and holding the elected Representative’s feet to the fire.
