Updates on the ground, Part II
November 5, 2012 at 1:01 pm in News by Tea Party Patriots 2 Comments

Yesterday, we posted some updates on what Tea Party Patriots are doing across the country, especially in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Here are a few more, this time in Wisconsin, Florida, and Ohio.
First, in Florida, activists are protesting the media’s lack of reporting on the Benghazi, Libya massacre. According to one activist, many people even stopped to ask these Patriots what Benghazi is! Tea Party Patriots Regional Support Team Coordinator Rachael Proctor is on the ground with these great Americans, and working with them to be as effective as possible.
With the media failing to report on the cover-up that has taken place since the massacre of four Americans, including an ambassador, it has fallen to grassroots activists to make the people aware of what is going on. This is what is going on in Tampa Bay, and according to the activists interviewed in the video, it’s working. Keep it up!
In Ohio, activists on all levels are working non-stop to make Ohioans aware of the values of the Tea Party. Phone calls to undecided voters to Get Out The Vote, knocking on doors, and handing out pamphlets are all part of this tremendous effort in a critical state. Regional Support Team Coordinator Kurt Potter is assisting with coordination of these activists, not that they need much help – people like Amy Brighton are doing fantastic work.
In Wisconsin, Regional Support Team Coordinator Bill Norton spoke to approximately 20 activists (and two dogs) about the great work they are doing and its impact nationally. As Bill noted, while there may only be small groups across the country doing activist work, there are so many of them that it is having a massive impact in 2012. In Wisconsin in particular, activists are excited to be the center of the political world. As Ozaukee Patriot Sid Terry noted in this video, which you can watch below, he never would have thought the future of the country would turn on Wisconsin.

What about “Fast and Furious”?
Nebraska Tea Party Patriots coordinated several days helping the battleground state of Iowa . On October 26, 27 & 28th we had National Support Team members, Linda Parker from Georgia and Diana Reimer from Pennsylvania arrived to help for two days walking neighborhoods with our Nebraska volunteers. They are a sight to see how they work through a neighborhood so quickly and thoroughly. Then Nov. 3rd, we held the very well attended Nebraska/Iowa ‘Freedom Under Fire’ Tea Party Rally at Westside High School Football Stadium and cafeteria. Then the next day we had the Benghazi-Gate Rally at Omaha’s busiest and most famous intersection (72nd and Dodge St) where we had 40 x 3′ x 5′ American, Gadsen and Tea Party Flags on 10 foot poles for everyone. Add to this the signs that those who participate on the ‘Patriot Feed’ here on TeaPartyPatriots.org quickly provided slogans for the sign makers.
Media attended all events including the Benghazi-Gate and waited for the main event, Tea Party Patriots founder Jenny Beth Martin who showed up and greeted all the participants. She was accompanied by special assistant Darcy Parker and even their own video cameraman.
For a last minutes event that was 24 hours on the heels of our Freedom Under Fire TP Rally, we were very pleased to have the turnout that we had for Jenny Beth.
Nebraskahas always earned the respect of Iowa and TPP national leadership. We understand that our elected leadership, state and federal, will be very conservative, and that is something that will be hard for any state to match. We believe our second district will be the deciding electoral vote for the winner and future President, Mitt Romney.
