John Boehner Just Denied You Exist
November 9, 2012 at 2:58 pm in News by Tea Party Patriots 186 Comments

“Well, listen, I think this has been the most misreported story of my two years’ tenure. We don’t have a tea party caucus to speak of in the House.”
- Speaker John Boehner, ABC news, November 8, 2012
This is not about Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney is a good man, a good father, and a good American.
This is about the Beltway GOP establishment that picks losing candidates, runs losing campaigns – and now denies that you exist.
Mitt Romney is gone. Our problem is still here. Because the beltway GOP establishment is still here – and still doesn’t get it.
This is the same GOP establishment that:
- Allowed spending to go UP during the 2 years of power and control we gave them in Congress
- Raised the debt ceiling after heavy opposition from the American people
- Refused to utter the words “tea party” once during the entire GOP convention
- Opened the door to tax hikes – this week – with President Obama
- Said – this week – “Mr. President, this is your moment. We’re ready to be led”
- Said – this week – “Obamacare is the law of the land”
- This week – denied we exist
While you were breaking your back on this election, often with no sleep, to help save this country – the GOP establishment was cooking up a scheme to blame you for their failures.
We knew they would try to blame you. So we hit them first.
There is no way I will let the establishment blame you for their losses.
Here is a story of a true Patriot:
In Southern California, Tea Party Patriot Linda Dorr had a lady who volunteered to help us save the country by making phone calls to undecided voters in Ohio. Our volunteer had a mild stroke. Two weeks later, she was back volunteering and making phone calls into Ohio to get out the vote.
That’s who we are.
Until we face the establishment in the eye and realize that we can’t count on either of these political parties to save our country, our country will continue this slide to European-style socialism. There are those in the establishment who care more about their own power, prestige, and position than they do about defending the ideals and values that made America great. We must be willing to call the establishment out and remind them that the founding principles that made America great are the same ones that will solve America’s greatest challenges.
We must be willing to lead. We are the last Patriots standing.
The Washington DC establishment may be angry at me for defending you and our supporters, and stopping them from blaming you for their losses. I won’t apologize for standing up for you, and I won’t back down.
You ARE the last best hope for America and I will keep fighting alongside each and every one of you to restore our Constitution and America’s greatness.
-Jenny Beth Martin and the National Support Team

The Tea Party movement does not understand what the recent presidential election means. It is a rejection of the Tea Party mind set that you are the only patriots. Moreover, it reflects the demographics of America. Continued insistence on that elections are rigged is nothing less than denial, not reality.
No one is correct all the time, that is the Tea Party Achilles heal.
You Sir, do not understand The Tea Party.
I do not support the tea party. If I were in the district of a tea party congressperson, I would have voted him or her out. I can find millions who would share this sentiment. I have watched the comments of tea partiers in my feed and they do not reflect the way I believe; they do not reflect the way MUCH of Americans believe. Polls have already shown the tea party’s dwindling support.

That you deny this fact shows part of the reason why the rest of the nation and speak Boehner deny YOU. This does not mean your beliefs are wrong. But it does mean you are becoming irrelevant. Sorry to break up the party, but reality will do that every once and a while.
You are correct. The Tea Party is a bunch of old white men whose country has passed them by and are hateful of all women, blacks, Latinos, non-Christians, intellectuals, students, gays/lesbians…in effect, anyone not just like them.
Thanks for bringing that to everyone’s attention.
Shut the hell up… just smoke weed brother !
yes icalled the speakers office yesterday and it seems like they didnt if wont to listen to what i had to say its ashame
My reponse? Send a message to both parties of congress. “Only buy the essentials until the federal budget is balanced, and the first $1 is reduced from the deficit”. Never give in–never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. Winston Churchill, 1941.
It’s cute that you think you get to define the Tea Party and their successes. You missed the point that they know will take numerous election cycles to clean things up. The Senators that won are more conservative then their formers. Loosing Brown for Fauxcahontas will show people how disturbing her positions are. 2014, 2016, 2018, and so on.
No, we do understand. We handed out 25,000 voter information packets in South Florida and all were positive. The people with whom we spoke, thanked us. People thanked us for what we were doing and at times it was hard to walk away because people wanted to engage in conversation. There no doubt in my mind that the Tea Party is a force for good. We can’t win them all, but we put up a good fight.
Limited Government, Fiscal Responsibility, and Free Markets is not extreme, it’s common sense.
No, there’s people within your movement who understand. But there is a strong undercurrent of hatred within your movement which occurs through no fault of your own. It’s just that people in rural areas tend to be attracted to the tea party message. Accordingly, these areas are the ones that are most likely to be isolated from other minorities. Therefore, they do not understand the plight of minorities or — at the very least — how to talk to a minority.
Do you know how many times I have gone onto one of these boards only to have someone accuse me of just wanting more free stuff or being on welfare? That type of attitude will not attract new adherents. Sorry, that’s just facts.
Its not about the plight of minorities, its about Americans, all of us. Your comment about rural people not knowing minorities is just as stupid as any Ive heard. Have you ever visited a rural community? These very same people you in a sublte way insinuate are racist and dont know or care about minorities would most likely be the first people to help them the most. Im so damn sick of this race and class nonsense. Its about getting the government under control and back to what they were intendid for.
Courtney,
You post begs the question as to whether you have been in a rural area for any length of time. I’m not speaking of a short visit for a week or weekend. I have lived in rural Georgia for quite some time and their are a considerable number of “minorities” that live there and work hard for a living. In fact, in my area, whites are the minority. However, demographics aside, this does not prevent the message of the Tea Party from being well received and have yet to see this hatred you speak of.
Since I do not know you, I cannot say what experiences you might have had. But, feel free to discuss your experiences as it well help those of us who do not understand see your point of view. A robust discussion of the issues will help everyone whether they support the Tea Party or not due to regional differences in culture and mindset.
My apologies, there were a few typos.

Courtney, I’m not a fan of the tea party, mainly because of a lot of the ridiculous and well publicized comments that a few members have made. However, what I think about the party is irrelevant to my position. One thing is for sure; your statement about the lack of connection between rural american’s and minorities is stark and colossal.
Once the GOP and those within the tea party that are supposedly “good people” are able to get at least one eye open to the reality of life for people outside of the corn fields, the gated communities and areas incurring lofty incomes that some people will never know exist, america may reach the same book, potentially the same chapter of life.
I for one hardly trust tea party persons, mainly, because of what I’ve seen and heard on tv, and read online. But, as i’m sure a good portion of “good and wholesome” christian folk would have read in the bible, “a little bit of leaven ruins the whole lump.”
Ultimately, Courtney, I agree with you.
Wow, you really like to lay on your stereotypes of rural Americans don’t you. When you cut through your layer of sugar-coating; Basically in a back-handed way you accused us of being ignorant. There are hateful people in any movement, but to completely misrepresent an entire group of people is wrong. It would not be tolerated if it were being done to any liberal minded group and shouldn’t be tolerated here. The Tea Party is not to blame for this, the fact that the GOP has systematically been drifting from its roots over the last decade is why they are getting pounded.
@ Courtney: Making a sweeping statement about “rural areas” shows your ignorance in flying colors. The Tea party’s fundamental existence is based on holding the GOVERNMENT fiscally accountable. You sound like a left wing racist to me.
Bravo, well said William! The losses were a gut punch, but the corruption at the polls was rampent, once again. Do you believe that 99% of the votes in 17 Pennsylvania counties were for obama? Really? That is rigged. How about my boss, a black conservative, who went to vote in Alachua county and was told he didn’t need tp produce any ID… only a voter reglistration card… REALLY? what happened to Florida’s ID law?
The American Socialist Party, led by Barack Obama, the media, and the takers, are waging all out war on our democracy. In 2009 the Tea Party came into existence to protest this. At first we held big rallies to try and stop it, and we tried to “reason” with our government. Next we took the next logical step and tried to vote out the bad and elect the good, in an effort to return our country to some semblance of what it was originally set up to be. Now, we find ourselves with a government that has too few true representatives to represent us, a Marxist president, another Marxist leading the Senate, a pushover Republican leading the House, a Supreme Court we can’t count on and that is just shy of enough radical appointments to force down our throats anything they can’t legislate, a media that is nothing but a propaganda ministry for the socialists and that lies and selectively reports to cover for the socialists, and a large part of the population that are either stupid, uninformed, parasitic in nature, or a combination of the three! There always comes a point in time where you simply have to fight. We have no one to help us, so, we must combine our citizens, our organizations, lawyers, businessmen, etc., etc., into a fighting force and fight them. I’m not talking about complaining and walking around with signs, I’m talking about letting them know that we are not going to stand by and let them destroy our country, telling them exactly what we expect them to do, and if they do not want to abide by our laws and our Constitution, then we will do what ever it takes to make them, whether it’s protests, or litigation, or civil disobedience, or revolution. That is unless you just want to continue to do nothing while our country is totally destroyed!
Mongoose….what a joke! The only thing that Obama accomplished when the tea party was organized by the Koch brothers was…….governing while black.
You don’t understand that you are being lied to constantly, that the laws of this country are being broken regularly, and our Constitution is being ignored as a matter of course. Also we have a propaganda ministry, called the media, that makes sure that you are kept in the dark about all of it! Tea Party folks, it is impossible for us to work through this system anymore to effect change. Time to fight. Time for protests, litigation, civil disobedience, and, if necessary, revolution.
Excellent post, f democracy or what the f’n people vote for, they voted wrong.
And by revolution you do mean shooting, and if you mean shooting you mean killing.
And who will be the target of your bullets?
Since were talking this perticular election where 52 percent voted the other way, as I understand it, the dead will be fellow Americans.
Go back to whatever rock you crawled out from under, your type will destroy whatever respect the GOP has left.
@Reid:
Actually the “official” number was 50.8% and the fact that 59 precincts in Philly voted for Obama by an amout of over 19,000 votes to ZERO VOTES for Romney makes me highly suspect that Obama actually got even received 50%.
Mr. Myers; You do not understand the concept of the Patriot. There is not “gray area” – you are either for a constitutional government based upon what the Founders created as a republic (not a democracy) or you do not. When it comes to constitutionalism – there is no compromise. Something the RINOs and Democrats have not figured out.
Since you question it, what, sir IS the meaning of the word “patriot”?
You are out of touch and brainwashed.
No sir you are wrong, we no longer live in a country called America but Ameritopia! Ask what the government can do for you. It is me me me me me and me! It is that simple, along with surrounded by morons. John Boehner has no backbone and if it happens that he does it is not conservative.
Robert,
America had three enemies fighting against us in this election…
1. Moderate Republicans like Karl Rove running the show.
2. Die-hard 3rd party Paulbots that voted enough to change the outcomes in some states, which could have been the deciding states for the election.
3. Most dangerous by far…. Our Un-American Mass Media.
Those that blame the Tea Party for our loss this election cycle have no grasp on reality.
If we are to make positive changes for our country we must find a way to make our media pay for it’s siding with the enemy.
You sir, are an idiot.
The Republicans have decided that the Tea Party Taliban do more damage than the Tea Party volunteers give them benefit. The Tea Party, and particularly the lunatic fringe they indulge, will become non persons over the next four years as the Party tries to reposition itself in the 21st century.
One thought: there is no doubt that Hurricane Sandy damaged Romney by forcing him off prime time news and giving the incumbent an opportunity to look and act Presidential on the ground.
Sandy was an “Act of God”, does that mean God is a secret Democrat?
Sir, it would serve you well if you concerned yourself with your disfunctional liberal ideology and the disastrous consequences they are leading us to. As a conservative I have abandoned any notion that a liberal may be cured of his or her misguided thought process. The only cure is an embrace of the common sense, fundamental ideals on which this great country was founded. Liberals lack this common sense and it cannot be taught.
It is time for the four or five major tea party organizations to have a meeting and find a way to consolidate their membership. There is strength in numbers.
I say give them what they want. Let’s just get it over with. The we can start over.
I agree, let the fall over the cliff happen and let all the moderates who voted left feel the crunch in their lives and in 2014 we will see a shift to the right, without this shift our future is that of Greece and I for one believe we are better than that.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. The nation is now lost to the marxists and its serifs. We must now let it accelerate and take it’s course, the sooner the better. From its ruins we can restore our great nation and the principals of our Founding Fathers but this time adding additional protections to the constitution so this never happens again.
The Marxists and their serifs? What are they now? Typographers. Are they taking away your right to use Helvetic?
When Boehner et al cave in and raise taxes, the Republican Party could likely disintegrate. At that point, I hope that the various Tea Party groups hold a joint meeting to discuss the formation of a new political Party — one dedicated only to the Mission Statement of fiscal and constitutional conservatism. The moderates and social conservatives have had their chance, and have only led us further down the road to authoritarian socialism.
I believe that the RNC is a greater danger to America than Obama. Stop any direct contributions to RNC and give only to individual candidates. Boner is like the scorpion telling the frog that he will not sting him if he gets the ride across the river. Ask your representative to refuse to increase deficit spending. Let it all collapse; it will be a better and quicker end than the slow death of suffocation. Any electorate who would put Obama in office is the greatest risk the Constitution has.
Starve it is only way to save it.
This mentality is the greatest threat to out nation. You people do not seem to grasp what happened on election. America rejected the tea party’s “whip out your jingoism so I prove mine is bigger” mentality. The defeat of also almost all of your favorites is the writing on the wall that tells your future if you don’t actually start to speak rationally and factually. At this point you are the laughing stock of politics in this country. the fact that you would advocate the total collapse of our nation because you cannot handle the reality that you lost big time, is proof you are not patriots in the least.
I certainly do not advocate the collapse of our nation, and I think you may be missing their point a bit. Their point is simply this, as best I understand it, America should get what it voted for. Since 52% of Americans voted in the manner that they did, they should probably reap the rewards. But, please remember when it comes tumbling down like a house of cards, there were people who did their best to warn the nation. It reminds me of the great debates between the Loyalists and the Patriots just a few hundred ago. A lot of the same arguments were made then as well. Many, many people were totally against rebelling against British tyranny. Just like a few decades ago….many, many people were against de-segregation, but the just cause won the day.
I am an Australian liveing here in U.S., ‘I just want to know what scandle ‘or dirt’ that demorats have on the Repulican quietmouth (speaker) ‘you must be kidding me ‘he’s a joke’………Mick Baker
I don’t know what they have on him, but something certainly changed after he became Speaker. Someone got to Chief Justice John Roberts on Obamacare, too. Wonder what they have on him as well.
I wonder, with you. Seems like the Democrats along with the Republican hierarchy are afraid of The Tea Party. They’re afraid they’ll lose their “cushy” jobs, as well they should.
You guys are wondering?! Educate yourself….the message has been sent several times, both parties are owned! Ron Paul won more elections then Romney but since Romney is an insider he was the pick. It was a win win situation for the real power players.
http://www.secretsofthefed.com/cnbc-execs-children-murdered-1-day-after-cnbc-reports-43-trillion-bankster-lawsuit/
Good point. They probably should have embraced Ron Paul more. His brand of republicanism is the future of the party. He is how they can become relevant again. Not to mention, young people are more in tune with him. It’s amazing how many college-age students will go to bat for that guy — and when a “Ron-Paul-bot” goes to bat, he goes to bat.
I say this as a democrat that voted for Obama. If republicans want any hope in the future, they may have to go the more Ron-Paul route.
I agree with both you and Courtney here. I believe Ron Paul would have fared much better. But to say he is the future of the party is actually agreeing with what I retorted earlier. Ron Paul actually represents what the roots of the GOP are. The principles he espouses are where the conservative Republican started and has drifted from.
Yes, many wonder.
In 1854 the Whig Party split into Whigs and Republicans. 6 years later, the Republican was elected President in a 3-party race.
The Republican Establishment wants us to become more like the Dems. They want us to “reach out to minorities” – with what? Government checks? They want the Tea Party and the Christians to go away – but they welcome our votes at election time, and we get little or nothing for supporting them. We get “moderate” candidates who run campaigns where they refuse to attack the opposition, and allow their candidate to be painted as radical and right-wing, while the other side moves further to the left. I am sick of it. I thought Boehner would be a good Speaker and would uphold conservative principles, but has turned out to be as much a milk-toast compromiser as Mitch McConnell in the Senate. Makes me want to throw up. And yet, currently, this is the only choice we have? I don’t think so.
It is time for a Conservative Party – The American Conservative Party. All that is needed is a few well-known Conservative Republicans to get on Board – Does Alan West ring a bell? How about Michelle Bachmann, Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Rick Santorum…… There’s a long list of possibilities. I would love to get your thoughts on this.
I heard there was a sale on white sheets at Wal-Mart.
Hey Rusty, take a quick look in the mirror. Your asshole is showing!
Ha, Ha, not funny. I hear there are Black Panther berets for sale at Walmart.
“Stupid is as stupid does”
TEA PARTIES ARE FOR LITTLE GIRLS !!!!!
This isn’t the 70s. The black panthers aren’t relevant regardless what Fox News is telling you.
So long as large numbers of people in our country see the TEA party as a group of extreamist, hell bent on imposing their own religious beliefs on others through government fiat, they will never listen. Fiscal responsibility, smaller government, freedom of choice. That is the only way. There are a great number of people who support and believe in the concept of limited government, they just may not subscribe to the same religious beliefs as you.
Where is your outcry when liberal-socialists whose god is government – (1) denies the right of practice and public Christianity; (2) try to make the holy given date of Christmas an alternate meaning? And so on … From taking God out of everything public, not allowing a student to pray (silently) to herself during lunch time in a public school cafeteria, or allow the majority (you say you are a “democrat”) to decide whether a prayer be included before sports games.
You are out of touch, out of mind and need to go somewhere they share your ideology.
Actually you are wrong. It is you who is out of touch. Your god has no place in the public arena. For a bunch of people that claim to want to follow the words of our founding fathers strictly and verbatim, you seem to ignore much of them if they are inconvenient. As you may or may not know, Thomas Jefferson first expressed concept of a wall of separation between church and state. The Treaty of Tripoly (that pesky document) makes it clear that America was not founded as a Christian nation. Our public institutions are intended for ALL people because all were created equally. While no one is preventing someone from praying silently to themselves during lunch (thought police?), public schools promoting any religion is inappropriate and illegal. There are numerous religions followed by Americans. Yours is just one of them. If you want to practice your religion in church or privately that is fine but keep it out of the public square unless you are willing to promote all other beliefs equally, including Islam, Mormonism, Scientology and even atheism. If you try to impose your religion on others do not be shocked when someone does the same with a belief you disagree with.
First of all, I’m going to be real understanding and try to explain this to you without flipping my lid. You see, it’s a two pronged problem with the tea party. First, you — like the Republican Party — cannot attract minorities like me when you make statements like “what are we supposed to do? give them more government checks?” I am not in search of a government check. I am not on welfare, food stamps, or any derivation thereof. When you say such things it is interpreted — rightly or wrongly — as racist and accordingly blacks, Hispanics, and other minorities do not trust you.
And secondly, it’s a matter of policy. Certainly, I wouldn’t mind a curbing of regulations. A curbing of social programs to prevent more fraud, but whose hands do you put these matters in? It goes back to the previous point. You put them in the hands of someone you trust.
If you come to me as a tea party member, saying these things you have already said — assuming that I must be on welfare or want a government check and don’t want to earn my money — why would I trust that you wouldn’t be overly laxed when it comes to regulations leading to the exploitation of what most commonly would be minorities. Why would I trust that you wouldn’t be too strict when it comes to welfare so that people who actually need it and actually cannot work wouldn’t be able to get it.
Why wouldn’t a logical person not interpret your words as nothing more than the “smooth evasion” that FDR warns us of? A lip-service to equality, but merely another way to “keep a brotha down”. You guys have a long way to go, because Bill O’reilly, Dick Morris, and all the folks at Fox News have already admitted it: You guys are outnumbered. And it will only get worse for you if you don’t learn to truly embrace and understand all races and walks of life.
Just trying to help you out.
Peace.
I ditched the tea party here in Nevada when they started to drift from fiscal responsibility into religious rant. I have come to view the christian conservatives as being similar to the muslim taliban. They want to legislate morality and I will have none of it. If you limit your message and platform to be fiscally responsible and libertarian I will support you. If you want to change people’s morals then you must do it in the theater of public opinion.
There is a difference between (fine line) values and morality. There is morality in the non-religious international golden rule.
Are you speaking of morality or doctrine? Do you know the difference?
Is it right for Christians to pay for abortions when they believe it is wrong?
It would be the same as if your tax dollars went to churches and religious organizations. Oh wait, that already exists – the government department of “faith-initiative” that Obama did not dissolve.
There’s more, but maybe even you can get the point.
Banning abortions is imposing your Christian view. If you are worried about paying for an abortion that costs between $300 and $1500 you are stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. These unwanted children will most likely cost us $50,000 per year when they become criminals. If you’re Christian, don’t have an abortion. If you’re truly against abortion, go to a planned parenthood facility and stop a girl from having an abortion by volunteering to adopt their child. If you are not willing to ensure this child will not be neglected simply because it is against your beliefs, then you have no logical argument. You have no right to make decisions for other people simply because it is not what you would do is wrong. If you don’t think women are intelligent enough to make a decision about their own body, perhaps we should take their voting rights away as well.
The TP started out good, but has decended into chaos, racism and conspiracy theorists and along with a health dose of religous theocracy.
I hope the GOP is able to rid themselves of these people, let them start a third party if they want to.
The TP is the best thing that ever happened for the Democrats.
This fringe element is putting the GOP in a serious bind, how do they move forward when they are tainted by association.
@craig:
You’re a lying leftist troll. A true Libertarian wouldn’t whine about anyone’s religious values. Take a hike scumbag. You’re exposed.
Rick Santorum is what is wrong with the Republican Party. He is a social conservative, whom independents and young people will run from. Also, although Paul Ryan is a nice guys, his plan was not to cut anything from government size — only freeze spending in place for 15 years.
I concur very strongly
Until the tea party realizes that we have to have a foreign policy that does not require America to spend more on our military than the next 16 countries COMBINED, we will continue to be taxed and run deficits no matter what else we do.
Americans should not be policemen for the world. Agree to do what Ron Paul has said all along and close all the military bases on foreign soil, bring the troops home, and put them on the border. Compared to our military budget, the stuff we are complaining about is peanuts !
No we did picked the GOP candidate. He was a very good candidate. He was the best candidate and no empty rhetoric will change it. I emphasize empty. Simply the get out the vote stuff rounded up all those who would never have voted. They were herded into to vote for Obama. We did not go down to skid row and round up drunks and winos. Also, we did not go to nursing homes and round up retarded people. We don’t offer food stamps and government entitlement programs as bribes. We don’t tell people that there food stamps will be taken away. So get your head together and see what lost this campaign. As said in the news the takers exceed the makers. We need a recall. This will flush the dirt out of the vote.
I have to admit us Dems rounded up all the drunks and winos but when we went to the nursing home the head nurse said all the retarded people had signed up to be Tea Party members years ago.
We tried but you beat us to the punch…
Now, THAT’s funny!
TEA PARTIES ARE FOR LITTLE GIRLS !!!!! :_)
He speaks the truth – you return with nonsense and sarcasm. Florida is only one example of corruption and voter fraud.
So many of the comments I am reading are so immature, apparently stemming from frustration and a lack of a solution. What worked for over 200 years would continue to work if men in government didn’t try to manipulate it in order to transfer power to themselves. Like it or not, it is a matter of morality. I’m out of here.
IF YALL DONT LIKE HOW AMERICA IS MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY…. ITS CALLED COMMON SENSE
There’s more of that unification I keep hearing Democrats preach but not practice. Making fun of mentally handicapped people and using them as a punchline to divide and deride. …Very Classy….indeed
Continuing to believe that kind of nonsense while refusing to see the reality that occurred on election night is exactly why the tea party is the laughing stock of this country. If you did notice, you got your asses handed to you in a major way and it wasn’t a get out the vote operation that picked up drunks on skid row that did it. The teapublican approach was THE get out the vote program for democrats. First of all, Romney was a horrible candidate. He said anything that he thought might appeal to his audience at the time and outright lied over and over again. He seems to be unaware that video tape exists of his previous positions as pro choice, supporting gay rights, and accepting climate change as real. He was also completely disconnected from the American people. You actually think Americans would elect a man with multiple offshore bank accounts to hide his assets while refusing to release more than one year of tax returns. His father even released 12 years. He totally lacked credibility on job creation because of his history of job destruction at Bain. He was an entitled millionaire that thought he deserved to be president not so he could serve the country but instead serve himself and people like Sheldon Adelson. And he was just one problem the right had. Mix in the numerous republicans like Mourdoch, Akin, Ryan and more, all that have a bafflingly ignorant perspective on rape and women’s rights. Sprinkle completely batsh*t insane candidates like Bachmann and West and you have a recipe for extinction of a party. Americans made it very clear that things like women’s equality, gay civil rights, healthcare, saving the auto industry, lower unemployment numbers and more are important to them. What does the tea party do in response? Stupid things like claiming Obama is going to take 2nd amendment away when in reality he has expanded gun rights! Mitt was the one that signed an assault weapons ban but that dust matter. They also called everyone a moocher that only want welfare and handouts and pairing this “takers vs makers” battle. This is ridiculous. The fact is of the 32 states that receive more federal money than they contribute in taxes, 27 of them are red states! It was no surprise that the top 10 most educated states voted for Obama while the 10 least educated voted for Romney. Unless the tea party actually starts dealing with reality and verifiable facts, instead of existing in a bubble wrapped echo chamber, it is destined to be the Crystal Pepsi of politics: “Vaguely recalled with an “oh yeah can you believe that existed,” pitifully mocked, and so very easily forgotten. Wake up. You got you clicks cleaned for very real reasons, most of which seem to sail right over your heads.
I didn’t realize we put retarded people into nursing homes, I thought we put elderly people who look like the gentleman in your photo.
For a bunch that claim to represent strict adherence to the constitution you sure do censor a lot of messages here. I have had messages awaiting moderation for 2 days now. Censorship is unamerican. You cannot handle the criticism or reality.
Continuing to believe that kind of nonsense while refusing to see the reality that occurred on election night is exactly why the tea party is the laughing stock of this country. If you did notice, you got your clocks cleaned in a major way and it wasn’t a get out the vote operation that picked up drunks on skid row that did it. The tea approach was THE get out the vote program for democrats. Sprinkle completely insane candidates like Bachmann and West and you have a recipe for extinction of a party.
I agree with Storiot – It is time to leave to get ready to leave the Republican Party and go it on our own. However, right now I think it is critical Mr. Boehner is replaced as Speaker. There is too much at stake between now and Dec 31st.
I think you Tea Party kooks have already overstayed your welcome in the GOP. They want you to leave, too.
I’m sure the old guard Repiublicans will help you pack!…
You’re not a Republican – so what authority do you have?
You need to pack off to Russia or China – places that conform to your ideology or idiotology.
Or you can move to the middle east with the other religiously fanatical troglodytes.
That’s funny. Teapublican calling someone else a religious fanatic.
A third party is not the answer. That would guarantee 2014 went to the lefties.
We need to gently educate the public with information.
Beat them in multi-media. This is a fabulous video both on message and delivery style.
Why does this video only have 450,000 views?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIAE6vLct-0
When need to really get the views up on the Bengazhi stuff. Why does this educational video only have 53,000 views? It needs 5 million hit by tomorrow. We all need to be active. Put links everywhere you can where appropriate. bengahzi
Benghazi was an operational screw up. I personally do not think we should pursue this as a partisan issue. Was it a one time problem or is there a pattern? Is there an ideological issue here? Don’t think so. Stuff like this and the abortion issue dilute the main message. Stay on topic and keep it simple and understandable.
The tea party has been successfully been demonized by the left. My lefty brothers and sisters told me 2 years ago that tea party is violent. They won’t allow any other thoughts about it. The tea party is not why we lost. We lost because latinos and latinas voted overwhelmingly for Obama because he told them he would give them stuff. We need to outreach in their community. They are naturally conservative. I like Boehner and McConnell. We just need young blood and new charisma.
Any job openings in the Tea Party hierarchy? I understand Allen West is looking for a job…
Jerkoff … he lost because your party cheated … wonder why teamster thugs were at the “recount”?
Hey, I wanted that d-bag West to win. He’s so utterly out of his mind that he’s hilarious. If he needs a job now he should check with Romney…I understand he’s a job creator.
Cheated. Sure. It couldn’t have anything to do with West being an liar, a disgrace to the uniform, a war crinal and a unhinged sociopath. America is done with insane politicians and they made it clear on Election Day. If you keep pushing for people like West, Akin and the rest whose names are about to never be heard again then you guarantee its extinction.
And that one guy is right. The vast majority of tea parties are conducted by little girls.
Amen Jenny Beth Martin
Boehner is a WEAK leader and DOES NOT represent the tea party. He MUST go! I heard his comment last night and couldn’t believe it nearly fell out of the chair. I said to myself what the hell did he just say. Michelle Bachman (re-elected) is the head of Tea Party caucus in the House that includes around 80-85 House members. UNBELIEVABLE!
Recently, I read A.J. Langguth’s book Patriots: The Men Who Started the American Revolution. It tells the story of Samuel Adams and the difficult early years of the Patriot movement as they organized a grassroots movement for liberty against daunting odds: the seemingly invincible British Empire and many Tories loyal to the Crown in the colonies. In the aftermath of numerous defeats, James Warren who was one of Adams’ trusted allies began to lose heart after one particularly tough canvassing effort across the Massachusetts countryside. He wrote to Adams saying of the Patriot movement, ”They are dead and the dead cannot be raised without a miracle.” Adams simply responded: “Nil desperandum, — Never Despair. That is a motto for you and me. All are not dead; and where there is a spark of patriotic fire, we will rekindle it.”

live-birth abortion. 53,000 is the Benghazi one.
Except Boehner said no such thing. If anything, his answer on the Tea Party was a vindication of everything it stands for. He said there is no one Tea Party caucus because the whole GOP caucus believes in and supports Tea Party principles. Similarly, he didn’t leave the door open to tax hikes, he said he was open to more revenue from tax reform IF it was tied to spending cuts (folks, a pretty basic conservative principle is that a simpler tax code and stronger economy leads to more people working, more people paying taxes, more revenue). And ObamaCare? He said the House is still going to fight it. It IS the law of the land. What’s wrong in admitting that while still saying you’re for full repeal? These kinds of attacks from groups like this do nothing but divide conservatives, and help Democrats and the Left.
Boehner did NOT say he was for full repeal. He wimped out & said there werecertain aspects he doesnt agree with. What a limp wrist answer.
Now that makes no sense.
So are you saying this site no longer is valid? Why reinvent the wheel? Just polish it up GET THE SIMPLE TRUTH OUT and welcome trolls with kisses and education, not bad language. Every time you see the tea party demonized. Speak up nicely but firmly. Don’t call lefties idiots . Should we abandon the GOP? Start a third party NO NO NO NO.
tell them you are a fiscal conservative, not a rhino- that you believe in a Better America – tell them facts, That GOP stands for Great Opportunity Party and that the Tea Party is about fiscal issues, not social issues. Social issues should be addresses at the state level.
or is there another site that is better for me to get more active. I was not on here before but I was active – changing one mind at a time (or at least I tried.
Thank you, I’ve been trying to express the same sentiments for quite some time now. Insulting those who disagree with us is not an enduring quality. Loose the social issues ranting and get back to the mission.
thank you biggierat. You are the only person who has made me feel welcome here and that is sad. The infighting in the Great Opportunity Party is troubling and the whining period and blame period should be over now. Do you see the black rainbow leg ever fighting with the green leg of the rainbow? NOPE – at least not in public. Yes, I prayed all day Tuesday and cried Tuesday night. I call my state Tea Party person yesterday- no return phone call. I will help moderate the comments and get rid of the obscene trolls but I will not argue with them. If a legitimate inquiry comes in from any far-leftists, someone should politely educate them, not argue. I want world peace but it is a utopian dream but there is no reason not to work toward it. People should be angry at the lies and expose every one of them, every time you hear one but in a gentle fashion. I am in the 4th district of Georgia and trying to start a group but haven’t heard back from whoever is in charge of groups either. Please – let’s shake off the dust, take the gloves off and fight back, legally and politely.
Amen
Couldn’t agree more
I hear talk of 3rd parties on here. I totally agree a 3 rd party is needed. There are just as many conservative dems. As there are Repubs. The reason people lean one way or another is because the establishment does not want the general public educated on what they really believe. There is a easy way to reach millions with the right group together. These leaders must not get caught up in the money or the beltway. They must hold fast with a basic plan. I posted in another article today with a basic plan of ideas that need tweaking. Granted they were copied from articles from a small political party but the basics are there. The Tea Party has been tainted. There are great people that are involved but it has been tainted by money, beltway politics, greed, and being to pushy with ideals that push people away before you even get a chance to speak. I was doubtful of the tea party when I first started seeing it around a few years ago. I went in with a open mind and read about what you really wanted. I will take a grassroot effort just ad the TP started with education. Letting people compare in a manner that changes their mind. In your face only causes fights, and makes people not want to be part of the movement. If 2.5 million people would join together and reach 23 people quietly in one year you could have a majority of the voting population of the entire USA. This is what it is going to take to make a change. Is for people to join together draw up a plan of ideas that are worth standing up for but allows for compromise. With the folks from both sides that have been doing like a lot of us and voting for the lesser of two evils for years will focus on the ideals we all agree upon and put away the less than 10% of things we do disagree on then progress can be made. In all great time periods of our nation it took compromise on both parts. That is what a 3rd party can do. I am sure the one that disagree with my thoughts will say it will take lots of money and it cannot be done. But I say if 2.5 million will join together and donate $200.00 each to the cause that will give half a billion dollars to work with. Then we can really compete as a 3rd party. I hope you all have a wonderful night.
In your face.
S my D
Hold my dick.
Wholeheartedly agree with the above. Why should there even be a Tea Party Caucus in Congress? The Tea Party stands up for the Constitution, which these people are elected to uphold in the first place. Stop letting people like Michele Bachman speak for us, and get caught up in social issues like family values that the feds have no say in anyway.
john boehner did not mean you don;t exist. he meant there is not a caucus like the black caucus. the tea party people belong to republican study committee. so quit causeing trouble jenny beth martin
Yes, that is another good point … “Black Caucus”, “Hispanic Caucus”, all based upon race. Tea Party Caucus is an ideology. Anyone can apply, everyone included. I would love to see their faces if a “White Caucus” was established. It would be just as wrong, but would make a point. Guess what, in both racial caucuses, the members are Democrats. Hmmm… What is that about Democrats being anti-racist?
I would join an American Conservative Party as mentioned above. I am disappointed by Boehner.
Peter, you are a libertarian. It’s time to start supporting the libertarian party.
I vote Republican and Libertarian because I am a conservative and do not feel I have 1 party that truly expresses where I am as a voting American. At least from the sound of it, I would fully support a new American Conservative Party.
While I am NOT a fan of the current administration, I must admit that they out maneuvered the Republican party this time around by offering more freebies for a vote. I am very conservative but I really believe that the only way to really take back over is to get more into the “rope a dope” phase of politics. Get a conservative to start offering freebies and then once elected, go hard on eliminating all the social programs possible. Libertarians are the one true party. I don’t care if you are gay or not, do drugs or not, have an abortion or not. As long is what you do does not effect me or my family either physically or financially, I DO NOT CARE. Lower taxes, make every body get an ID, if they want welfare, drug testing and public service are required. NO WORK, NO CHECK. Don’t want to do public service? Into the Military you go. A strong defense and self reliance with an emphasis on business development. That is the Country I want to see.
Squeeze my snatch.
Peter, you are a libertarian. It’s time to start supporting the libertarian party.

We must end the republican party establishment to change the system of corruption. First the GOP then the DNC.
Those people who deny tea party exists have been sleeping for the the past two years. It is alive and well. The establishment wants to pretend in doesn’t exist because they get so much grief from it. If you don’t agree with the message, join the other party. I am also tired of having candidates being told what to say and how to say it. If you truly believe in your message, shout it at the mountaintops and speak in a language that is precise and clear. Please get out of people’s private lives, that is not the government’s job nor is it your job to to intrude into my life. And most of all, stop lying. The people want someone who will be honest with them even though the truth will not always be easy to hear. We are grown adults who deserve much better than we have been getting out of Washington.
Guys, we’re going about this all wrong. While immediate change would be nice, steady forward motion wins the race. We can’t start at the top, we’re not giving the people who don’t know us the opportunity to trust us first. Our fight has to start in the state congressional districts and the US House. Give the establishment on both sides enough rope and enough time and they’ll figure out how to hang themselves. Pain is the great motivator and unfortunately Americans haven’t felt enough of it yet to demand significant change apparently. They will with their recent choice in time but the bottom line is that in order for us to be the patriot heroes that we all are we must do it right. Winning the trust of those who don’t know us by going local/state first gains both a track record AND momentum. Thoughts?
Oh, and thanks for fighting for us Jenny. If you need me, get a hold of me.
Jeremy, I wholeheartedly agree with your comments. We need to take back our country starting at the local and state level. Starting with our neighborhoods and cities we need to ignite a passion for fighting for the principles that made this the greatest nation in the history of this world. We need stay separate from the GOP establishment and regain the conservative party from the outside in like we did two years ago. We got complacent and let ourselves be marginalized by the media and the GOP. We have only ourselves to blame for making the mistake that we could change the GOO from the inside out. – Tom
I would fully support a Conservative party but could you imagine how the media would portray it. MSNBC would slander it into oblivion. They see the need for the Republicans but they would go all guns blazing for a Conservative party.
3rd party will not work – not in this day and age. Has anybody besides me noticed a strange decrease in normal traffic during lunch hours?
No… but you do have a Tea Party pissed off electorate that will do everything we can to remove you from your position and your office.
TEA PARTIES ARE FOR LITTLE GIRLS !!!!!b
So are childish insults……….just sayin’
It’s not about getting out the vote or leaving the Rinos behind. The loss of this election was about demographics! A huge percentage of African Americans, Latinos and single women voted for Obama. This country is no longer a center-right country. The bread and circus mentality of our society has shifted the country to the left. Until we come to grips with this fact we are going to continue to be the frustrated majority. Although much of the Latino community is as conservative, if not more so, than the tea party, the liberals have succeeded in portraying us as racist. This has served to isolate us from the fastest growing segment of our society. Although Paul Ryan is an honorable, intelligent and hard working man, not tapping Marco Rubio as his running mate was Romney’s biggest mistake. A HUGE MISTAKE!!! It’s time to wake up and smell the coffee, this country has changed. Our concerns are valid and our message can resonate. But our biggest job right now is to reach out to these demographic, educate them, and show them that we are not against them. The principles and values we hold dear are universal. They are color blind. They apply to all people. Seventy years ago the civil rights movement belonged to the Republican party. George Wallace and Bull Connor were Democrats, and they represented the vast majority of the Southern Democrats world view. The Republican party grew out of the abolitionist movement! The irony is that this cause has been stolen from us and we are now branded as racist. In order to win elections we must shed this image. No matter how inaccurate they may be perceptions are everything!
The dems did get out the vote. They found new votes and got them to the polls. They started early and did not have the distraction of a primary.
What does all that shit matter ?? just serve god and love people
Lawatlanta. Why would a third party not work. If you pull from both current parties then you can reach a majority. I have actually built a very good business pulling from the other competition. When I began my business almost 20 years ago I was told it would not work that the 2 big companies had it tied up. Guess what I now am the only one left. This was done by being the 3 rd man and educating those using my service of why we are so different. This can be done with a 3 rd party if the proper education is done.
Again the democrats and the corrupt Obama administration have beaten us. For far to long we as patriots have stood by while the erosion of our constitution and our very rights are taken from us. If we are to survive as a nation of Americans , I mean all Americans no matter the race or religion. We must insist that our moral values are not compromised , our beliefs in what the founding fathers set forth in front of us are not allowed to be cast aside like garbage. I , like all of you find the very thoughts of loosing our inherent rights unacceptable. To all patriots lets rally together and take back what belongs to America. The office of the presidency is a provide of the people not a right. If president Obama insists on mandating his personal agenda of the destruction of our nation , then we must make him very aware we as Americans will not stand by and do nothing. This election shouldn’t be over .
@Springfield1903 You said: “We must insist that our moral values are not compromised”. To that I will say shove YOUR morals where the sun don’t shine! YOUR morals, whatever they are, are not mine. I will not allow you to legislate MY morals.
Fiscal issues: Yes
Social issues: NO
Ditto.
TEA PARTIES ARE FOR LITTLE GIRLS !!!!!!!!!!!
But it is over. You lost. Embarrassingly. The majority of Americans voted for President Obama. No amount BS is going to change that. And seriously, stop with this “takers” and “makers” crap. It only makes the tea party look even more uninformed than already does. The fact is, of the 32 states that receive more federal funds than they contribute in taxes (the takers), 27 of them are red states that voted for Romney.

You say the constitution is being shredded and you are losing your rights. Can you please share what specific rights you no longer have? What can you no longer that previously was protected under the constitution. Also, what parts of the constitution are no longer valid and legal?
Keep your morals to yourself,
give me a smaller government, support for small bussiness, pride in self reliance.
Keep your conspiracy crap and so called morals.
Our forefathers chose wisely when they installed a barrier between government and church.

The problem is that there are so many Tea Party groups, I suggested that they come to some sort of combined “party” but was told that this would infringe on the “grass root” theme. Brother, let me tell you as a fragmented group with no cohesion it will never succeed as a majority decision maker. The Republican party just assumed (you know what ass-u-me means) that we would support them and they used us, and we let it happen. The ONLY way to move forward as a voice to be reckoned with is to NOW find a candidate of our own and push ahead to the next election to beat both other parties.
Is the Tea Party Movement based on fiscal conservatism or the battle against Abortion and Gay Marriage? Can someone please answer this question?
TEA PARTIES ARE FOR LITTLE GIRLS !!!!!
How do we get rid of Boehner and get a Speaker of the House that has the guts to stand up for what we put him in there for?
The TP movement is based on Fiscal Conservatism. The other should be left up to the States.
I agree medic, but then why is the TP supporting Murdoch and Akin? Costing Republicans Senate seats? I’m done with the Tea Party because of these religious fanatics.
ArmaLite. You are correct. My point has been as stated in a earlier post, that the TP has gotten caught up in the national attention and beltway politics. The true movement has been tainted by money and fame. Not any one movement has answers to all problems. But by getting many involved willing to compromise is when problems can get solved. Always listen. As my Grandfather use to say. It is better to keep your mouth shut an let people think you are stupid than open it an let them know you really are. We should all be ready to listen and compromise for the betterment of many.
You don’t exist anymore.
The rednecks that hijacked the Tea Party and ran it into the ground has done just that
Lets spend two years attacking Romney while the liberal press is attacking you. I knew your ignorant asses were going to put Obama back in
We need to regain the passion for winning back our country that we had two years ago with the Tax DayTea Party protests. We lost our momentum and let the Tea Party get assimilated into to the Republican Party establishm$ent. We need to stay separate from the Republican Party and force change from the outside in. We need to force the GOP to nominate candidates who stand for the principles that made our country great, and who are ready to fight the battle to win elections for the good of this great nation. – Tom
Just face it! Big bird id in the White House thanks to the easily manipulated puppets that put him there. People just don’t give a care in the world about the 16 trillion dollars in debt. Why? It’s the new American way of life! People just feel comfortable living beyond their means because they know there are no consequences to their actions and someone will bail them out. This is thanks to both what both Republicans and Democrats; just file for bankruptcy, and all is forgiven. Can’t pay for that new car you couldn’t afford, it’s OK, just let the bank take it back. Just get another credit card! No consequence whatsoever and that’s what people believe will happen with our National debt. The power of a nation comes from the values of leaders and the people. Slack off and be no doubt another country is ready to be number one. Americas have to fight for the values that created this great Nation. Conservatives have already conceded to the election, now you what the Liberals have you concede your beliefs?
Why are my comments still waiting moderation after over one hour?
John Boehner really need a backbone, get one or you will be replaced!
Boehner is simply telling it like it is. I am glad that Repubs will stop wasting time trying to repeal Obamacare and get on to other issues that affect Americans. Perhaps the Dems and Repubs can work together now.
From what I have read, The Tea Party is so angry and so divisive. The conversation consists of threats, and bombastic, disrespectful and threatening rhetoric aimed at the people that Americans voted into office. I for one am SICK OF HEARING IT!! The voters have spoken. Yes, the popular vote was split almost 50/50. That is all the more reason to work with Repubs, Dems, whomever, to rebuild this country. The TPP should stop making war on the 50% that voted for “the opposition.” THAT would be patriotic.
I couldn’t agree more with the following article. We must demand that the Republican Leadership including Reince Priebus resign or be fired by Republican Senators and Representatives. The Republican Leadership is responsible for the debacle of a failed election that should have been won overwhelmingly. Recent news articles show that John Boehner is already talking surrender to the Obama Tax Plan instead of how to cut spending, stop the sequestration, write a meaningful and significant cost cutting budget, passing a balanced budget amendment and avoiding the fiscal cliff.
I am a retired senior citizen on a fixed income and I have done everything I could and more to support The Tea Party’s activities during the recent failed election. If you want my support in the future I expect you to rally the troops and demand the resignation of the Republican Leadership. If we are to have any chance of stopping Obama’s agenda to destroy this country, we must remove the current Republican Leadership and replace it with Republicans that care more about the future of this country and its citizens than their own political self-interest.
You’re Fired, Boehner, GOP Bosses Must Go! By Richard Viguerie
Mitt Romney should have embraced the Republican platform, and the current Republican in leaders in Congress should step down from leadership as a result of their “massive failure,” according to legendary conservative activist Richard Viguerie.
Viguerie has been a fixture in the conservative movement for more than 50 years, pioneered direct mail political advertising and is chairman of ConservativeHQ.com.
After great initial concern about Mitt Romney as the Republican nominee, Viguerie told WND’s Greg Corombos the former Massachusetts governor did a good job of embracing conservative policies. But he said Romney needed to fully embrace the core values of the GOP.
“Romney took good conservative positions. The problem is, he did not follow through,” Viguerie said. “Phyllis Schlafly says the Republican platform adopted in Tampa this past August was probably the most conservative platform ever. And I think that’s probably true, but Romney did not run on the platform, and the Republican Party did not run on the platform.”
Instead, Viguerie said Romney ran on his business record and his accomplishments in Massachusetts.
Republicans are now doing a bit of reflection to figure what can be done better in future campaigns. Some conservatives insist their principles are fine but the marketing of conservatism needs some updating to appeal to a wider audience.
Others say the GOP must take more moderate positions on issues ranging from homosexual marriage and amnesty to rape exceptions to the pro-life position. Viguerie said moving to the left is never the right answer for conservatives.
“The idea that conservatives need to abandon our principles and move left is nonsense,” he said. “The way that we win elections and not just appeal to the base but to the American people is when we make the campaign about our issues, our views our values. Republicans never win national elections unless we nationalize the elections and present to the voters two dramatically different worldviews – a worldview of a big, all-encompassing, powerful government versus a small government, individual responsibility, traditional values, lower taxes (and a) balanced budget.”
It will be difficult, but if the Republican Leadership is not going to lead and be responsive the voice of their grassroots supporters, we need to combine all of the Tea Party Organizations and form a national party that represents the people.
As if Barack Obama being re-elected wasn’t bad enough, establishment GOP’ers have been spouting a bunch of nonsense this week, running about with the their tails drooping between the legs, and acting as if they are apparently ready to bow down and give up.
Here are the facts. In 2008, Obama and the liberal dems took full control of government. Then, in early 2009, a grassroots movement sprung up called the Tea Party, and our efforts brought about a victory for the GOP in the House in the midterm elections of 2010. If it had not been for the Tea Party, there would have been no power to fight back during these past two years!
After that win, the liberal dems fought back hard. They had a massive ground game and the media on its side, and they were successful in damaging Mitt Romney’s character, as well as the character of the GOP as a whole (yes, the dems were relentless in their untrue characterizations that Republicans and the Tea Party are nothing by a bunch of rich, racist, homophobes who are anti-immigrant and waging a War on Women to boot)! It was untrue and unfair, but effective nonetheless.
As bad as things turned out on Tuesday, the GOP did retain control of the House. Thank God or there would be no balance of representation; nor would there be a way to push back. In my county alone, we voted overwhelmingly for Tea Party-backed candidates that won their seats! My local government is looking good for its citizens.
That being said, now is not the time to give up! The Republicans should not consider caving in on amnesty for illegal immigrants nor should they spout off stupid comments like “the GOP is too white” or “the GOP needs to pander to African-Americans and Hispanics by choosing candidates from their races”. That, to me, is plainly wrong. I agree with MLK’s stance: “A person should be judged (and chosen as a candidate) based not on the color of his or her skin, but on the content of their character.” There are already a number of people of every race in the GOP and Tea Party, and that number is growing. I understand that the GOP is just trying to make sense of everything, but they must stop the blame-game, and they do not need to buy into the “white guilt” falsehood. Some GOP’ers are even blaming the Tea Party, and they are very wrong-headed in that regard. The Tea Party, after all, was responsible for putting in some great candidates that won in 2010 and 2012 (but no thanks to Akins and Mourdock for their stupid comments about abortion; two Senate seats were lost to the dems). We need to shut up about the social issues and focus on fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets. We need to steer away from the topics of abortion, religion, and sexual preference. We want government OUT of our lives, do we not?!
The GOP is treading on thin ice if it continues to edge out the Tea Partiers; indeed, the GOP cannot rightfully downplay the truth that we Tea Partiers were the driving force that brought about the 2010 victories! Tea Party groups across the country are not going to give up and neither am I. It is time to fight back even harder! Do not forget that there is a midterm election in 2014, and God forbid if the dems take full control of government again.
I still cautiously support the GOP, but at this point, I wonder about the group as a whole. Will they cave in and sell us down the rest of the river? Will we Tea Partiers break away and join the Libertarians or form our own party? Who knows. But we cannot count on either of the two major political parties (the dems or the GOP) to save our country. We – each one of us – must do our parts in holding the establishment accountable to “We the People” or else our country will continue to slide into the same kind of socialistic nightmare that Europeans must live with.
It is true that there are those in the establishment that care more about holding on to their own power, prestige, and positions than they do about defending the ideals and values that made America the greatest nation on Earth. We Tea Partiers need to remind others that the founding principles that made America great are worth fighting for. To protect the individual rights that our founders secured for us, we must be willing to get involved and follow their lead. If not us, who?! We have children, grandchildren and a future to impact, so let’s shake it off and get busy. We have not lost our country. Let us start NOW to look for candidates and take the time to get them ready.
Fight on!
The TP seemingly has entered a PR coma. Gains made on the local level with legislative and candidate support have been necessary and important but with mixed results.
Boehner sees this- we all do.
Our biggest drive was to change the WH and senate and we failed. It has been years since a Nat’l effort with a lot of publicity- so I woulld like to suggest an idea:
A National Mainstream Media boycott. Very simple- pick the weakest network (likely MSNBC) pick one advertiser ( compare company financials to determine the one who can’t afford bad PR) and hold a phone drive from around the country to drive one advertiser off- making sure all know who did it and then pick another.
Little time involved, few volunteer hours required, no outlay of money, take advantage of the level of disgust on the Media’s selective reporting and unabashed political bias.
It’s an easy win- think about it.
I don’t get it, Boehner said Obamacare “is the law of the land”. Well, it is the law of the land and John Boehner can not change it. I mean, he did not say he “supports it”, but the fact is that it was signed into law and will not be repealed by Obama (obviously) or the Senate. The election results confirmed that it is the law, at least for 4 more years. That is what he said. Also, stop with the “debt ceiling” talk. Raising the debt ceiling is not a green light to “increase spending”…it is an agreement to pay off past debt that our country owes. If they vote “not” to raise the ceiling, than America will default on its debt and the economy will crumble. So the “debt ceiling vote” is symbolic only. Lowering spending and the debt has nothing to do with raising the “debt ceiling”. Talk like this makes conservatives look like the “low information voters” and gives us no credibility.
Cbas – to be honest i’m surprised to see a comment based on facts and reality from our group. But i fear it’s not a movement based on fiscal conservatism but on religious fundamentalism. When was forcing your religious beliefs onto other citizens considered Liberty? It kinda reminds me of the fundamentalist Taliban.
Exactly, most people are fiscal conservatives but are afraid to vote that way. The social issues and religious extremism “scare” off people who fundamentally agree with fiscal conservatism. To me, the fiscal crisis is way more important than gay marriage, guns, abortion, and all of the other main social arguments. I am not telling people how they should feel about those issues, but I am saying that it will be hard for fiscal conservatives to get anywhere as long as the “extreme radical” positions on the social issues are attached to Tea Party movement. Keep the government out of our lives, and that includes social issues and religion.
Since some news persons said the lost election of Romney was due, at least in great part,
because the Republican party does not care about the Spanish population in our nation.
Some of my co-workers were Spanish and were great workers. Americans are becoming lazy. Why don’t we spend much of our effort reaching out to them and explaining our American way of life? Teach them what really makes our country tick. Let’s be smart and work on educating the unconcerned and uninformed. The more businesses we get people to get going and stay going, the better off this country would be finacially and we could turn around this debt instead of giving out free handouts.
I am still waiting on two comments that have been waiting for moderation for several hours. Nice forum for open dialogue you have here.
Varl, moderation is suppression of free speech and contradictory to th tea party message. Suppressing dissenting views is communist thinking!
Nothing but that spring chicken in that House!
The Conservative movement, whether Tea Party, Republicans, both, what have you, needs to be UNITED and not blame one another for what goes wrong. That’s what the left wants.
TEA PARTIES ARE FOR LITTLE GIRLS !!!!!!!
I have a few serious questions regarding the socioeconomic viewpoint of the Tea Party with regards to (to use the recently popularized phrase) “takers”.
Is it a commonly held belief by the majority of the Tea Party that _all_ non-Caucasian Americans are “takers”? If so, does this then also mean that the Tea Party does not believe that non-Caucasian Americans can be honest, hardworking, patriotic citizens, and in effect if you aren’t white, you are a “taker”?
I’m also curious what the Tea Party thinks of Caucasian Americans who accept government assistance. Are they included when referring to the “takers” or is there a different term more accurately used to refer specifically to them?
Is there a criteria for identifying a “taker” unrelated to race? Does accepting _any_ government assistance (including, but not limited to welfare, food stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.) permanently label you as a taker, or is there perhaps an acceptable limit?
Finally, what influence do non-Christian religious beliefs have on the above questions? Are non-Christians, regardless of race, also considered “takers” by default or do you need to also be non-Caucasian and/or participate in government assistance programs?
There are aspects of the Tea Party’s core principles that I agree with and I ask these questions respectfully in hopes of better understanding your views regarding topics unrelated to fiscal responsibility, limited government and free market economics.
Thanks in advance.
TEA PARTIES ARE FOR LITTLE GIRLS !!!!!
So what are we doing to bridge the gap with the college kids, females blacks and browns, we lost and will continue to loose if we cant bridge the gap. Maybe ,Mitt should have done an interview with Pimp with a Limp!! We need to Help Boehner by getting more consertives in office, change the image of consertives and the Tea Party.
I don’t meant to insult anyone, but from my experience I can tell you that as a young, modern American, the undercurrent of hate seen from the Tea Party since Obama’s election did play a role in deciding to vote for Obama. While at first, I thought the Tea Party was all about fiscal responsibility (which is good), all their campaigns were just filled with hateful “rural” people who used their rallies as a chance to vent their racist views. If you think that normal people, who are not stupid, did not catch on to that, your simply delusional.
And if you think that insulting the president, who is clearly a hard working family man, calling him a racist–while at that same time saying all sorts of racist things about him, was going to bring people to your cause, it should be apparent now that it did not. You lost the middle by siding with the extreme right.
People are sick and tired of living in an America driven by hateful views. This election was a pure rejection of all those things. Plain and simple. The only reason it wasn’t a land slide is because of the economy. That alone should show you how far off your point of view is from that of the rest of the country.
Well said.
I’ve been writing this for the past week. The Tea Party movement is not about fiscal responsibility. If it were Jenny Beth Martin would not use Reagan as an example of a fiscal responsible President. Check the facts, Reagan started deficit spending with huge tax cuts and military spending writing an IOU to Social Security.
This movement is about religious fundamentalism disguised as fiscal conservatism. Most of the people in the Tea Party are actually part of the entitlement sector of the population. I’ve been to Tea Party rallies and all the senior citizens are collecting Social Security and Medicare. When has imposing your views on abortion and gay marriage considered Liberty and Freedom? You people are ruining the Republican party (Not everyone, only the religious fundamentalist).
Writing IOU’s to Social Security for Welfare programs started with Presidents Kennedy and Johnson. Those same programs have grown to gigantic proportions with recipients still expecting handouts.
Wanda – Roosevelt used SS trust to fund the Atomic Bomb, Eisenhower used it to fund the Federal Highway System, Kennedy used it to fund NASA, however it was paid back. Look at the deficit spending under Reagan and all other Presidents since. Only one to lower it and balance the budget was Clinton (I hate to admit this, but I facts are facts…)
Open a history book and check the facts about fiscal conservatism under Reagan.
I disagree. Here’s the bottom line:
Chris Christi sabotaged the election. Him chastising Romney for wanting to come and help, then sucking up to Obama who did nothing caused about a 5 point swing. That was enough to give the election to Obama. If Romney won, Christi won’t be the next Republican nominee, and with what’s about to happen here, the Republican nominee will walk into the White House. After two terms of Romney, Paul Ryan will be the Republican, and Christi would have to wait another 4 years at least. After that, the party in the White House is likely to change again. The next presidential election is his only chance before he’s just another fat politician that’s too old for anything.
If Romney wins, Christi can never possibly be president. The Christi political machine thought it best for their own ambitions if Obama wins this time. They blatantly disregarded the obvious threat to our existence the path we’re currently on leads to.
Everyone should remember this when Christi runs in 3 years.
The original Tea Party was held by colonist who bravely went aboard an English ship loaded with heavily taxed Tea and protested the heavy tax by throwing the bundles of tea overboard in the harbor. That Tea Party was extreme and dangerous. Not a little girl’s tea party! The Tea Party Patriots of which I proudly belong are doing a major work to keep people informed about our Constitution, free trade and freedom of speech. Senator Boehner is either out of touch or afraid to speak up for his constituents who put him in office. We need the bravery of those first Tea Party Patriots and tough retoeric of President Harry Truman. “The buck stops here” and don’t move an inch. Patriots do not get faint hearted there is still work to be done.
I am delighted that you people remain clueless about American history, what the founding fathers wanted, and what socialism really is. This way, you will simply continue your delusional hard rightward tack into ignorance, bigotry, hyperbole, hypocrisy, and vitriol; and this pretty much assures the failure of the Republican party for the next generation if sensible Republicans remain too cautious to respond. However, if they decide to push back, you will dissipate into the small group of cranks from which you emerged. Because all bullies are, at heart, cowards.
We need to stand up for Constitutional principals! True conservatives can win, fip-floppers cannot
Remember “Those who will exchange liberty for safety will find they have neither.
What we need is a way forward.
To anyone with any knowledge of accounting, we cannot sustain more debt. The only solution coming from the Democrats is to borrow more money, as if some other country will put the government of the United States on their welfare rolls like the government here is putting more people its welfare rolls.
The Republican leadership in Congress has been abysmally weak. They are cowards. When we needed for them to speak up strongly, they cowered and spoke nebulously. Eric Holder told them to GFY, and they cowered in their corner of the playground like weaklings.
We need a new Speaker.
We need a new Minority Leader.
NO MORE DEBT. NOT FOR ANY REASON. MAKE THE GOVERNMENT CUT WHAT IT DECIDES TO CUT TO BRING US BACK TO FISCAL SANITY.
When the social programs get their fair share of the cuts, there will be social upheaval. Those communities that have been trained to wait on the government to take from everyone else and give to them the sustenance they need will riot.
We should do nothing to stop them. After it is over, let them live in the ashes they created. Do not subsidize the rebuilding of the ruins they created. We should react to the event as if it is what it actually is – a tantrum. Let them throw it, then let them live in the mess they create. Those that want a better life will separate themselves from those who will continually throw tantrums when the government doesn’t give them everything they want.
Should we continue to placate the portion of the population that throws these tantrums, we will continue to increase the divisions among us. We are on the brink of secession in many regions. The government should make it clear to these people that they must become self-reliant. There isn’t any money to support them anymore. We need a Speaker and a Minority Leader that will say this, and draw a line in the sand.
There is no avoiding the reality that we must suffer the consequence of a reduced status in the world. It is fallacy to pretend otherwise. We cannot avoid the consequence of our enemies that are the reality in the world will become stronger as we become weaker. We must look beyond that to the future and make the decisions today necessary for us to resume our position after we solve these domestic problems that threaten our existence. More debt will only delay the resurgence we will need in the future and make it more difficult.
We need people in Congress that will stand firm on the principle that borrowing more money will only worsen our already critical situation.
The most significant threat to our existence is the debt.
We need a new Speaker.
Paul Ryan.
We need a new Minority Leader.
Mark Rubio.
If we do not develop a stronger presence in our government, this country and government will not survive. It will be replaced by the usual dictatorial oligarchies that were the norm in the world before the emergence of the United States to the apex of international influence.

“Ideological purity”
Would you be talking about Obama being a Marxist communist? He left a trail Inspector Clousseau could follow all the way to Vallerie Jarrett having the office immediately adjacent to the Oval Office.
“Compromise as weakness”
Would you be talking about when the Democrats had a super majority in the Senate and a dominant majority in the House, and they completely ignored any other ideas other than their own Marxist totalitarian government agenda?
“A fundamentalist belief in scriptural literalism”
Would you be talking about the Democrats’ strict adherence to Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”?
“Denying science”
Would you be talking about the fraudulent “science” promoted by Al Gore and all the man-is-evil-global-warming nuts?
“Unmoved by facts”
Would you be talking about the fact that the Democrats’ Marxist subprime loan program collapsed our economy after 2 years of oversight by Democrats Dodd and Frank?
Or, would you be talking about the Democrats taking over all the purse strings of government in January, 2007, with a declining 0.16 (that’s zero point one six) trillion deficit and a total debt of 5 trillion dollars? Or would you be talking about the fact that the Democrats increased the deficit ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PERCENT and more than tripled the debt to the 16 trillion dollars it is today?
“Undeterred by new information”
Would you be talking about when it became obvious Obama doesn’t have a clue what happens in government? Like, for just one example, the fact Obama didn’t have a clue the operation to kill bin Laden was even happening. Vallerie Jarrett had to summon him from a golf course after it was leaked to her the SEAL team was 40 minutes from landing in bin Laden’s compound.
“A hostile fear of progress”
… I assume you’re one of those regressive people that ludicrously call yourselves “progressives”. Progress – i.e. the revolutionary concept of representative LIMITED government invented here and written into our Constitution.
“A demonization of education”
Would you be talking about the deplorable condition of our education system that was changed from the finest in the world to the most expensive in the world that generates the most ignorant workforce in the industrialized world? Coincidentally, this disastrous trend began when the so-called “progressives” took control of it in the late 60s.
and on, and on, and on.
You’re an indoctrinated dupe.
John Boehner is being a big man, and so is Chris Christie and Bloomberg! Obama was born an American and Mitt is a good American that got pushed around by this party. These are all big men doing big man things and this party needs to be brushed off. Obama won the election fair and square. Voting against anything and everything the president does just because he’s the first non white male president is too stupid to even wrap my head around! Bringing guns to whats supposed to be an open discussion about healthcare doesn’t even make sense! It was obvious the tea bags were unsustainable ever since. WAKE UP !
Nobody has seen any proof as to where Obama, or Barry Soetoro, or whatever his name is, was born. All anyone has seen is an obviously fraudulent birth certificate on the White House website that Obama’s lawyers will go so far as to comparing Obama to Mickey Mouse in testimony in court to keep from committing a felony and submitting that document as evidence in any court.
Chris Christi sabotaged the election so he could be the Republican nominee the nest election. After what is about to happen here, the Republican will walk into the White House. If Romney won, Christi could never become president… ever. Christi chastising Romney, then sucking up to Obama who did nothing caused a 5-point swing, which gave the election to Obama.
Mitt Romney is a good American. He’s a capitalist. He’s part of what made the United States the most remarkable nation in the history of civilization. Obama is an elitist Marxist communist who the United States had to defeat in the Cold War to survive and maintain its existence in the world, who never did anything in his life except repeat what he was instructed to repeat so he could ride in the gold seat on the government gravy train.
You’ve got to give it to him, though. His entire life is nothing but being a fraud and a liar, and he rode that gravy train all the way into the White House.
First of all, there is nothing to vote against if you vote against the president. He doesn’t do anything, He’s not even involved in government. He’s the most expensive welfare payment on the books of the US government. He doesn’t even know what’s going on in our government. All he is is a cardboard cutout poster to make it look like someone’s actually president. It’s impossible to vote against something he does because he has never done anything… in his entire life.
And, everyone who works for a living and made the sacrifices necessary to achieve a living standard the United States is known for just loves the idea of a health care system where the crack head is equal to the engineer in every way…. except WHO PAYS FOR EVERY GODDAM THING.
We defeated Marxism to end the Cold War. Looks like we’ll have to defeat it again.
Paul Ryan will be the next Speaker of the House.
Tighten up your chinstrap….
It is this kind of lack of thinking that has you destined for extinction.
the most significant event of the previous century was the Cold War. The United States was one of the two primary contestant nations. The war was between two ideologies, Marxist communism and capitalism. The United States won that war.
I’m betting you’re so goddam ignorant, after being a participant in the most significant event of the previous century, you can’t even define “Marxism”.
Given that you are so obviously ignorant, how can anyone give any statement from you any credibility?
Or, prove me wrong.
Define “Marxism”
I’m betting you can’t, and you wouldn’t know a Marxist if one was brainwashing you will a bullhorn in your face.
Such anger. You mad bro?
Oh and by the way. This country WILL survive and our values are strong and it WILL survive by the American people GOP and Democrat American Constitution Party. It doesn’t matter whats happening to the American demographic is a long long time coming. There have Always been people here of non white decent breaking their backs and giving their lives for this country. It was never supposed to be about social inequality and were always going to work as hard as we can to make sure that were all free and that things are fair and equal. This will continue long long after the tea party and all of us exist. Despite opposition at every corner, President Barack Obama and the Democrats and some smart Republicans averted a modern depression and myself and most people that have gone to grade school knows it is a FACT! That something as massive as an American economic rescission let alone a global economic meltdown , would absolutely most indefinably take longer than four years to even get moving again. Especially with all the opposition! The president and people involved did the right thing with the bail out and if the bail out was bigger it would have been better for us in the future. The economy will bounce back in our life times however will be changed. But for the better!
I’ve read the posts on this site and can not believe what I read….
Are we still talking about whether the President is an American? This country was founded on compassion, religious freedom and standing together while respecting EVERYONE’S Freedom!
The Tea Party started as a real alternative to the two party system and although I didn’t always agree with their ideas, I appreciated their positions and their right to pursue relief as they wanted.
I’m not quite sure what happened and how the Tea Party went from being a vehicle of change to a group that now makes wild accusations while refusing to accept anyone else’s opinions or beliefs.
There are important and critical issues happening in this country; there are people who don’t have enough to eat, no where to live and the Tea Party wants to talk about whether the President is an American?.. They want to argue about whether this country was founded on Christian values?…They want to ridicule other Americans, because they disagree???
The Tea Party is losing ground and support in every state, this is happening because they have simple lost focus on what is important. I once believed that this organization would be a real alternative but instead, the Tea Party has become just another angry mob shaking it’s fist at the sky.
In my opinion, I suggest that the Tea Party take a long, hard look at it’s original purpose and go back to that…
Only then will the rest of America begin to take them seriously again and they can become what they’ve always wanted…
…a real alternative to the two party system that can help to make the kind of changes and compromises needed to make America great again!
Thanks in advance for respecting my opinion
When do we march on Washington DC. We should recruit thousands to make ourselves known. Local groups should march on Boehner’s West Chester office.
Time for a big wake up call. They are rude on the phone, ignore FAXs and emails so go in person in mass.
I concur. We no longer live in the age of all or nothing and all throughout this election, although the Tea Party was a good resource for information, was even too far right for me. One item I found particularly distasteful is that the religious right is as oppressive as the liberal left is loose. I find both extremes in thinking a violation of the ideals of what this country was founded on…I felt that way all along the campaign and now I find it to be what may have eroded a potential base for necessary change. Dead weight. OLD ideas. NOT for me, and a LOT of Republicans, as am I, agree.
While I don’t agree with all conservative views I also can’t be part of a party that would rather slice my throat then smile at me. After the elections there were 100′s if not 1,000′s of twitter posts FvCk WHITE PEOPLE!! The Democrats are filled with people who hate our guts. Yet you will vote with them. They run the streets shooting each other but call white people the enemy. They live in slums that they say we made but its not us throwing the garbage on the street and spray painting the neighborhood. No matter what we do its our fault. And its not people not knowing how to deal with minorities. Its people tired of being blamed for their own crap they make for themselves. All you have to do is look at Illinois elections to see Jessier Jackson Jr and Derrick Smith back in office when both have been found to be corrupt and not doing their job. Why is this? Race possibly ? Or voting straight Democrat which at the least shows that the Democrats dont look to see if these candidates are good leaders. Its crazy.
Rick Piza, first of all, don’t even TRY to deny that part of the problem is the Tea Party members don’t know how to deal with minorities. I have been civil with them, tried to have civil discussions with them and they would still rather assume that I am on welfare, without a job, and looking for a handout because I vote for Obama. Then they will assume I voted for Obama just because he’s black and I’m black. That is utter BS. I merely stated a fact that blacks are not going to be attracted to such a party with so many people who express a misunderstanding of them and rightfully so.
Equally, all those people who said fVck white people are a bunch of dumba$$es. But no matter what party I vote for there will be racists. I just vote for the party whose economic and social policies I agree with most and you have the right to vote the same and I will not question you or call you a racist or a sell out.
We both must control and condemn the racist elements in our own party, but pointing the figure of blame and saying “well, you have racist TOO.” does nothing to solve the problem within your own party.
The Tea Party is done. You can cry all you want about others being racist, but unless you see you own prejudices, you will be a thing of the past.
