A big THANK YOU to veterans
November 11, 2012 at 1:15 pm in News by Tea Party Patriots 10 Comments

Today is Veterans Day, a day that all Americans forget about politics. We focus instead on those who have served, those who gave their all in defense of America.
For those who don’t know, Veterans Day replaced Armistice Day in the United States in 1954. After the horrors of both world wars, it was only appropriate that President Eisenhower make the change, to honor all those who fought to protect international freedom and America’s borders. Today, we use this day to honor all those who served from the Revolution to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tea Party Patriots would like to say THANK YOU to our veterans, even though they deserve so much more. Please join us in making sure that our country always provides the “thank you” that our veterans truly deserve.

So far at least 20 states have active petitions to secede from the USA. You can view and sign all of them at:

Spectacularly bone- headed.
Sign early and often eh?
Connie:
Connie: Do you really think it appropriate to post a comment advocating a state secede from the union on the same thread designated to honor service members that have fought and bled for the preservation of that same union?
It’s this fool-hardy effort to secede from the union that destroys the TP brand. Surely you are sufficiently intelligent to realize that this is a fruitless effort and will never result in any state actually leaving the union! So what is the benefit of throwing a temper tantrum?
Not bone-headed. Smart move—it doesn’t mean Georgia actually follows through. But his head has now been placed in an oven where it belongs.
Our state, Connecticut, is blue, and so oppressive, corrupt & unconstitutional it is not only a dismal & discriminatory place to live, it’s just plain Dangerous!
How do we get outta here or just stay alive?
The police allow so many people, including themselves to break local, state & even federal laws, & put innocent people’s
lives at risk on a daily basis!
Complaining to.ANYONE in Connecticut, does you NO GOOD
at all!
Nathan Hale wud be rolling OVER in his grave if he cud see how this place is being run,.especially Hartford County, which is where the Capitol is!
Any thinking American veteran or soldier should be nauseated by what has become of this country. As an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy I am appalled by the people of my nation and their desire to disregard everything myself and others like me have sacrified years of our lives, and some their entire lives, to preserve. I feel like a stranger in the land I served to protect and for what? To allow these useful iots to trade my childrens birthright for a coupon book, vacuous promises, and lines for work, food and clothing. Its absolutely shameful to celebrate our heritage after what has willfully been done to us. Some have forgotten who we are and many, those who voted for this FRAUD 2x, never were American to begin with.
From this point forward, Veterans Day and Memorial Day, days I took great pride in, are nothing more to me than a shameful, obnoxious reminders of the American peoples betrayal of by those who gave up our consitutional rights, and some their lives, to protect them.
Yeah, I’m pissed.
Well said and I agree. I gave up years of my life to protect a union (a republic) not so it could fall apart and states could seceed from the union. But to ensure every American could keep his or her Constitutional rights. It’s a shame.
With the shenanigans that went on during the elections involving the military, the Tea Party needs to put the voting rights of the military and veterans on the top of their list. The Tea Party needs a “Contract with America” to better define itself. The Tea Party needs to focus like a laser on it’s core principal of control over Federal Government spending and ditch the social issues. Most Americans are Libertarians at heart, Fiscal Conservatives and Social Liberals. Let the Republics dance in the mine field of social issues while we win over “Blue Dog” Democrats to the Tea Party by staying on the fiscal issues and only the fiscal issues. Romney was blind sided into a “War on Women” by allowing himself to be pulled away from his core issue of being a “financial fixer”. Don’t let people like the Bachmann’s confuse us with Social Conservative Crazies! All social issues will be a loser for financial conservatives because the social issues are generally based in “give me” social programs. We need to stick with people like Vets who have demonstrated honor and responsibility!
I agree 100%. We need to draw a line in the sand between fiscal conservatism and religious fundamentalism. Forcing your personal religious views onto fellow citizens goes against Liberty and Freedom.
