What Does Liberty Mean to You?
October 9, 2012 at 4:34 pm in News by Tea Party Patriots 15 Comments

It’s often said that a picture is worth a thousand words. With November 6 right around the corner, Tea Party Patriots would like to test that theory by launching a new, fun way to participate in the political process. This initiative is being called “The best of America, in pictures.”
The premise of this effort is as simple as it is fun. We will be asking Tea Party Patriots to take a picture of something that relates to whatever word is being promoted. For example, we are beginning with the word “liberty.” So the question to activists is, “What does liberty mean to you?” To participate, simply take a picture of something that speaks to you about liberty using Instagram and use the hashtag #TPPLiberty. Tea Party Patriots will gather all of the pictures and highlight them on our website.
Thank you in advance for helping us spread the word about this fun and effective way to showcase the values of the American people. We look forward to seeing how you view liberty. And look for the next #TPPLiberty Instagram competition!

Liberty:
The hope that the country I defended for 25 years, became disabled for, and nearly died for will still be able to offer my family opportunity, and free will; not dependency on and slavery to the state.
Liberty means that we are able to make up our own minds to do whats best for us. We don’t need the government telling us what we can and can’t do.The constitution speaks for itself, and we have to do what ever it takes to uphold it.
Easy:
To go where I want
To do what I want
To be what I want
To keep what I have
AND NOT TO FEEL AN OUNCE OF GUILT ABOUT IT
OBAMA’S OR ROMNEY’S AMERICA – SPECIAL REPORT
At the age of seventeen I invaded Cuba at the Bay of Pigs, in an effort to eradicate communism in the country of my birth. We lost the battle due to the failure of the Kennedy administration in 1961 to follow through on the original plan prepared by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Central Intelligence Agency. It was an act of criminal negligence. The 1176 prisoners of war of the Brigade 2506 … READ MORE: http://bwcentral.org/2012/10/obamas-or-romneys-america-special-report/
It has taken centuries of struggle, agony, sacrifice and bloodshed to get out from under the thumb of those who acted as if they had been born into this world “booted and spurred, to ride mankind.” Now we are turning around and heading backward, toward a world where people’s fates are not in their own hands but in the hands of some puffed-up political “leaders”. (Borrowed from Thomas Sowell.)
$100 Billion (oil) Koch Brothers
secretly fund national Tea parties.
Tea Parties vote “Free Market”.
“Free Market” Koch Brothers
are free to do whatever they want.
So far they pollute with spilled oil
and suppress the poor (foreclose
homes) while making Billions.

Not to say your right in any conceivable way, I have to ask, what so wrong with oil? Seriously, your PC is made of oil based products, so is anything plastic, much of your car – motorcycle, or bicycle require oil based products – what so bad about oil?
Before you flame on oil spills (like the one in the gulf) Crude oil is a natural substance and nature has its ways of cleaning itself up.
Come on now, use a little noodle and explain to me what it is your kind, probably hypocrites, has against oil. That keyboard your typing on is oil based too. BTW.
‘
His point wasn’t that oil is bad. His point was a bunch of rich guys fund a movement that is based on principles that benefit them greatly, but is being supported by people who wouldn’t benefit nearly as much. The Tea Party has some supporters who being taught to hate and fear and shun anyone with a different opinion instead of coming together for a common good.
It’s okay to disagree with policies, but anyone who believes that anyone with any power in the government is actively trying to destroy us needs to stop reading crappy novels.
AVERYTHING
You mean like George Soro’s bankrolling the DNC, Occupy Wall street, and (I suspect) world can’t wait, moveon.org?
As far as Occupy Wall Street goes, that was debunked by the same news organization that labelled him a funder: http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/10/14/us-wallstreet-protests-funding-idUSTRE79D01Q20111014
I’m not going to argue the point, I was just correcting your focus on his. It wasn’t about the industry, it was about the executives.
fair enough, we can agree to disagree. But his initial post was littered with references to oil, big oil, even oil spills, and how the money from oil sales are distributed from oil companies to evil politicians. Factions are a legitimate part of the process dating back to the country’s inception (defined in the federalist papers). My point was as the Koch Bro’s are frequently vilified while Soros gets a pass from the left. Unfortunately we never hear a peep out of the left regarding Soros’ dirty dealings with his wads of cash.
Until such time we no longer need oil, there will always be people who profit from oil and use that money to safeguard their money-stream. Factions = America 101.
What this country lacks in government (and society) is character and conviction.
Loving my country.
Sounds like an interesting idea. I believe I will play along.
I believe the fact that the Kochs fund the Tea Party is pretty well documented by a number of sources, including the New York Times.
The conspiracy theories I’m talking about include things like Obama being a muslim or a communist or that he wants to enact Sharia Law. I would add the ‘Birther’ conspiracy as well.
The difference is that the instance of rich guys controlling government policy through special interest groups and campaign contributions has been around for hundreds of years whereas the idea that a foreigner was elected president and is trying to turn America into a muslim socialist country sounds like a bad Tom Clancy novel.
