Tea Party Patriots Statement on Tonight’s Debate

Following tonight’s first Presidential debate, Jenny Beth Martin of the Tea Party Patriots released the following statement:
“President Obama stumbled and bumbled through tonight’s debate the same way he stumbled and bumbled his way through the last four years. His unsteadiness again shows the American people that he simply doesn’t know how jobs are created or how the country’s deficit is reduced. It’s clear now why our country is in such economic peril: our President doesn’t understand the economy, and it shows.”

Well, I went through Romney’s 4 point plan on the Economy yesterday, and nothing he said tonight agrees with what he says in on his web site. I don’t trust him. Who knows what he will do if elected. I may have to sit this election out.
Sadly, sitting out takes one from Mitt and gives on to O. In the future we need viable conservative choices to choose from (meaning tearing power from the RNC and DNC ASAP). O would be a disaster, R is the only option.
Unfortunatly doing nothing (sitting out) is casting a vote for the candidate you oppose the most and taking a vote away from one you disagree with the least. We will never have a perfect choose because their is no perfect person, so we will always be left with a choose the falls short of our expectations. Unless you’ve drank the cool aid for someone, you’ll always have doubts about your choice, which is not necessarily a bad thing. These doubts will drive us ever harder to keep those individuals accountable for their actions and will keep us from getting complacent and taking things for granted. So please get out and exercise your constitutional right – VOTE.
Don’t sit the election out and don’t vote for the lesser of two evils. Vote FOR a major change in Washington. Vote for Johnson (Libertarian). This country needs a major overhaul and we won’t get it from either the Republcans or Democrats, they are too much alike and have been for the the last 50 years and that is the reason we are in the situation we are now in, because no matter who wins there is no meaningful change in Washington. If everyone who is dissatisfied with the choice the Republicans and Democrats give us were to vote for Johnson, we could put the first “third party” candidate in the White House. This being a start, people would see that it is possible to oust the incumbants of either party in the House and Senate. The only way that a third party will get the recognition that we need to make a meaningful difference in the way this country is headed is if we join forces and replace the “do nothing” Republicans and Democrats. The Tea Party and Libertarians have more in common with each other than we do with either of the two major parties. We need to put an end to the “two party” system in this country and the electoral college (college of liars). The electoral college is not bound to cast their votes for the candidate that the citizens of the state they represent voted for, so it is a sham and not representative of the electorate. When emerging nations around the world hold their first few elections the United States sends representatives to monitor their elections to root our any possibility of corruption, and yet our elections here in this country are so corrupt, and we have grown accustomed to the corruption that we let it happen. It is time for the citizens of this nation to rise up and demand reform and an honest government!!!!!!!!
A vote for Johnson is the same as sitting this election out, besides Johnson is NOT going to be elected.
Never has a write-in become president…NEVER
So, you go ahead and vote for Johnson….You may as well be voting for O
According to the replay it is a 5 point Plan
What was this new health care program? This unbelievable Romney was a bobble head doll anything Obama said he agreed with…… I thought “Repeal” not another version of Obamacare…….Very upset here totally frustrated….
I thought R made it perfectly clear that he would repeal O-care and then give power to the states (alinged with the 10th Amendment) to do whatever they thought their people needed. I’m not a Romney guy, except due to lack of viable choice, but tonight he surpassed John McCain (which means I won’t have to scrub myself with brillo after I vote). There is still time for him to disappoint, tonight wasn’t it.
Romney was clear that his healthcare policy would be to place healthcare into the private sector, where each person could choose from companies across state lines. This encourages competition among insurance companies. It would not, repeat not be an insurance company monopoly, which is unlawful. O has demonized the insurance companies. That’s his ploy to make people fearful and default to the gov’t in hope. Live in hope and die in despair if more applicable to the O policy. Gov’t is not the answer; rather the gov’t should make us fearful of a “Big Brother is Watching” socialist redistributive society. Massachusetts is a predominantly democrat state which would have overturned any veto of Romney’s. So he introduced as much competition as humanly possible in such a blue state. R is for states’ rights. R has stated that he is against a national healthcare system. Do you want a system like Britain where there is healthcare rationing for medical and dental care, or would you like to choose your own doctor or dentist? You don’t have to move to Britain if you like their system; just don’t vote or vote for O. Either of those paths will ensure declining health of the American population due to waiting lines and government dependence. If this isn’t enough to make you vote for Romney, take a look at O foreign policy, which has strengthened terrorists, and his energy policy, which has made fuel prices “skyrocket,” just as O promised.
First comments I heard tonight were the dems would be out in force to co everything they could to cover bad performance of obama. The dirty tricks he has used to get in office are in full swing now. I think the Governor did a fine job of showing us the failure we have for president and how well he can replace him.
Empty Chair meet Competence and Conviction. Romney gained a degree of respect with me…I won’t feel as bad having to vote for him.
You don’t have to vote for Romney, you can vote for Johnson. If all of us voters that are dissatisfied with the choices the two major parties voted for Johnson we could elect the first “third party” candidate!!!!!!! See my post above.
Anyone who cannot see the clear choice at this point in history is a fool’s fool. The choice between B. O. and Mitt Romney are a choice between Tyranny and freedom. I would rather disagree on some points with an American like Mitt Romney than have 4 more years of a tyrant building a State controlled Nation of sheep led to slaughter.
It’s not just between who’s conservative enough now…Count the Czars..The Regulations… ..The Fines..Taxes..Eventual imprisonment many of us will face with all the Brave New World Obama will continue to give us..Obama is Rex Tyrannous…Long live the Republic!
and my name is David Molinari, Mr. Obama..I have never had any other name or alias!
P.S. You can find my social security number..where’s yours?
You got it right David Molinari ……. Why don’t people see that ….
Ive seen this before with George Bush spend spend spend…….we are being sold down the river again ……….
That’s right Bill Hornd, both the republicans and democrats are spending us into bankruptcy. The Republicans, champions of small government, created a brand new cabinet level department (Homeland Security) and all the inherent expense, manpower costs, bureaucracy and government waste that goes along with it. That led to the TSA and the fiasco that has turned out to be, what is next? The DoD should be in charge of DEFENDING the HOMELAND of this nation. The Department of Homeland Security is not now nor was it ever needed if the DoD were tasked with defending the borders of the United States!!!!!!!! You can see now how both the Democrats with their over-regulating and revenue shifting for walfare and the Republicans with adding to the “big government” that they claim to dispise are screwing the American people by weighing the taxpayer down with all this unnecessary spending.
Ya gotta run a country bill…Spending money is part of running it…Bush spent around
4.7 Trillion dollars in two terms, contrasting Obama’s 5.7 Trillion in only one term.
You do the math and vote accordingly!
I will support Romney/Ryan without hesitation. This is ball game for America unless we get Obama out of office. 2016 is too late.
Romney looked Presidential to me. We’ve only got two choices … Which one would you want across the table from Putin or dealing with the Muslim Brotherhood?
I bet he won’t be AWOL at the briefings.
I pick the one who speaks positively of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
Your comment is absolutely dead on! I totally agree with you and we need a President who can get back to the basics and bring America back to it’s glory. Obama has done his very best to bring America down and it shows. I believe Romney/Ryan can and will do their very best to get control back into America, stop the bleed, revamp some of the “free stuff being handed out”, get American’s back to work and off the rolls, etc. It’s going to take time but they will certainly put a great dent in what our current President has done to us as a nation!
I am extremely upset by my “candidate”. I want a REAL conservative who will stand on principle whether in the Republican Primary or the General Election and not change his tune in front of a broader audience. I was hesitant on Romney before this debate, now that I’ve seen him in action, he can count me out. True conservatists don’t sell their souls just to win an election. After watching that debate, I wonder if Romney is standing for me, or using me just to get ahead. After Bush, I will not cast my vote again for another in the closet, big government spender who just sold my ideology out this past week. I will vote for my congressional elections, because at least I know the left-wing agenda will continue to go nowhere.
Incremental steps.
First, get an American in the White House. Second, keep pressure on Romney to do what it is he promised. Third, if he doesn’t measure up – get another president.
Priority one: O has to go. He is a cancer to this nation on every level. Giving him 4 more yets, essentally va;lidating his deconstructive Ogenda, would be irreparably damaging to this country.
Saying Obama isn’t an american proves your ignorance.
That isn’t nice Jim7!!! Can you prove Obama was born in America? Not even Obama can! You need to do your research. If he was a “proud” American why would it take him 3 years to produce a “fake” Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth? Wasn’t even a “Birth Certificate.” Anyways…just sayin.
It may not be nice, but it’s the truth. It took so long because he didn’t think anyone was seriously asking him to prove his citizenship. I find the accusation to be the most racist thing attributed to him; I believe if he was white, it wouldn’t have been an issue.
Also, he supplied two forms of birth certificates that were checked by Department of Health and would have been proof for anyone that the person was an american-born citizen. I don’t even know why this is an issue anymore.
Please don’t sit out the presidential election!!!!!! If all of us voters that are dissatisfied with the choices of the two major parties were to case our votes for Johnson, we could put a “third party candidate” in the White House. The Tea Party and the Libertarians need to stand together to bring about the major change in the direction of this nation that is needed to turn this country around to what our founding fathers envisioned. Liberarians and members of the Tea Party have more in common with each other than with either of the two “major parties”.
I do ‘hope’ that Romney’s views have changed from his past views because of a realization and conviction. I do ‘Know’ from reading many bills in Thomas.gov and watching many govt oversight committees on Cspan what is planned for us. Ob’s green agenda will impose many regulations, taxes and a lot more control over us. He already seems to feel he is dictator. He is breaking legislative laws, allowing his ‘un’Justice Dept to break laws. He isn’t interested in Congress except when they interfere with his plans. Then he creates Executive Orders to halt information from the oversight committee. He doesn’t work with them to get a budget passed. Why? Because if America knew the plans he has for us, Nobody who believes in American values would vote for him. If you want to continue to watch more industries close down, more control implemented over your life, prices on everything go up while being mandated to buy ‘more’ products so he can make sure we are properly controlled, then vote for Ob again or just don’t vote at all. Although we really don’t deserve it, may God Bless America.
Mitt was terrific with getting his point across. He is honest and compassionate for all and it came through.
I would like him to ask Pres. Obama if his Obamacare is so wonderful, why have so many unions been exempted????
You know, all this talk about Obama not bweing a citizen, and all the erooneous conspiracy theories people are believing as fact frightens me. Now, people are saying the Jobs numbers are not correct. At my job, I deal with mentally ill people daily and this nonsense about Obamam. the conspiracy theories and the refusal of people to believe the logical facts presented to refute these absurdities are all signs of mental illness. Here is a an article about this issue :http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2012/10/201210281028546997.html I dislike Obama for his policies, not because of him being black or any of the lies told about him, and I feel I’m in the minority. I see some of the posts here embrace this paranoia and it worries me. Just saying.
You know what worries me R Tresch,is you letting your ideas to be formed by the wackos on Aljazeera. You need to take your leftest ideas and find a new site, because they are not wanted here.
You shouldn’t immediately shoot him down because he disagrees with you.
