Obama’s Promises vs. Recent History

In a recent campaign ad, President Obama talks about four promises that will come to fruition in a second Presidential term. However, given what has happened in his first term, one could have suspicions the second term may not be quite as rosy as the President claims. Katrina Trinko spells it all out:
In a new ad, President Obama makes four promises:
First, we create a million new manufacturing jobs, and help businesses double their exports, give tax breaks to the companies that invest in America, not ones that ship our jobs overseas.
Well since Obama’s been in office, the nation has actually lost nearly 600,000 manufacturing jobs.
Second, we cut our oil imports in half and produce more American made energy–oil, clean coal, natural gas; and new resources like wind and solar; biofuels, all while doubling the fuel efficiency of cars and trucks.
You know what would help with this? Building the Keystone pipeline.
Third, we ensure that we maintain the best workforce in the world by preparing a hundred thousand additional math and science teachers; training two million Americans with the job skills they need at our community colleges; cutting the growth of tuition in half and expanding student aid so more Americans can afford it.
As I’ve previously written, expanding student aid is problematic: it’s likely to increase college costs, which are already astronomical, instead of helping people who couldn’t otherwise afford college. Right now, we’re in danger that college, like health care, is going to become something where government funds so much that the market forces are completely skewed and it’s next to impossible to keep costs under control.
Fourth, a balanced plan to reduce our deficit by $4 trillion over the next decade. On top of the $1 trillion in spending we’ve already cut, I’d ask the wealthy to pay a little more. And as we end the war in Afghanistan, let’s apply half the savings to pay down our debt and use the rest for some nation-building right here at home.
…When properly counted, $4 trillion in new alleged deficit reduction becomes less than $400 billion. There is no policy change to alter our disastrously unsustainable path. As the Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler points out, “the repeated claim that Obama’s budget reduces the deficit by $4 trillion is simply not accurate… virtually no serious budget analyst agreed with this accounting.”
When it comes to the future of our country, these four areas of public policy are absolutely critical to our nation entering that future successfully. Unfortunately, Obama has spent his entire first term adding to the debt, watching poor jobs report after poor jobs report trickle in, blocking energy expansion, and expanding the role of the federal government in education. Do any of these sound like a recipe for success?
The fact is that we need to balance the budget through elimination of overspending and tax reform. This will also help speed up the economic recovery, which will add jobs. Eliminating certain regulations on energy production would help reduce the deficit and add jobs, especially projects like the Keystone Pipeline that are all but ready to launch. And, of course, lowering the cost of education by reducing the role of the federal government in education certainly can’t make things worse.
These four goals have already failed under this President. Perhaps he will consider a change of course?

The best thing that the Obama and Biden families can do for our economy is to vote for Romney & Ryan.
Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that Mr. Obama is just not capable of doing the job. He just cannot multitask and he waits way to long before taking any action. He has never been in the private sector and has no idea of what it take to build anything, He has been on the public trough all his life in some form or another, He was never properly vetted in the first place.
He reminds me of a bit Steve Martin did of “How You Can Be a Millionaire and Never Pay Taxes’. His plan? First….get a million dollars.
President Obama is not qualified to do the job in my opinion . If he returns to office, he will put the US deeper in debt.We don’t need him or want him.
Obama is always saying “It’s Bush’s Fault”. But the last 2 years he was in office look who controled Congress!!!!!!!!! They help put us in this mess!!!!!!!!! His words are vacuous..they are empty platitudes used to compel the gullible and simple minded to vote for their own demise. Sadly there are far too many gullible and simple minded in the US.
Don’t be too hard on Obama’s constituents. Consider that the information they are operating on comes from our socialist (fascist?) school system and our socialist (fascist?) media. If you read the school books assigned to your children, you may have a revelation regarding the intellectual capacity of those constituents.
And I’d like to remind you that our generation, despite all the evidence of school culpability, sent our children to those indoctrination factories.
Read the texts, consider that U.S. education quality has gone down every decade since 1945, then tell me again who is “gullible and simple minded” in the United States.
Re Obama promises:

A hundred thousand more math and science teachers? Where do we find a hundred thousand more education majors qualified to teach arithmatics, let alone math and science? California (more than a decade ago) found more than a third of its teachers to be functionally illiterate.
Training two million Americans with the job skills they need at our community colleges? We have people with the job skills. What we need are the jobs.
Cutting the growth of tuition in half? By what method? Send storm troopers to the bloated colleges to force salary and payroll reductions?
Isn’t it Congress that has the power to fulfill those promises?
Sure, it would have helped to have Presidents that vetoed most every law Congress passed in the last 80 or 90 years- but only Congress can get rid of the laws that are choking our economy and destroying our basic liberty, and, take back the authority to write “regulations that have the force of law” from unelected bureaucrats.
I am really baffled with the comments in the forums these days. People keep posting that Obama doesn’t know how to build businesses and create jobs. It is said that Obama hasn’t got the first clue as to how to run a business. Others say that Obama can’t multi-task and that he not cabable of doing the job he was elected to do.
Obama has been doing what he wanted to do to the economy of the United States of America since long before he was voted into the presidency.
Obama has done almost everything he wanted to do in order to decrease/minimize, reduce/destroy businesses in the United States. Give him another 4 years and he will finish us off. This is what Obama is about, but people still do not get it!
How could a president of the good ole US of A do something like I am suggesting? Well, for one Obama is a Muslim and any good Muslim is one who strongly desires to inflitrated the United States for one thing…To take it over…To inhabit this land…Sound far fetched?
