Help after Hurricane Sandy

Over the last two days, Hurricane Sandy has hit the North Atlantic seaboard hard. More than 30 people have died, and at least six million people are without power. Estimates of total damage are well into the billions.
One way we can help our fellow patriots recover from the storm is to donate money to trustworthy charitable organizations like the Red Cross. We know money is tight, given the economy, but if you could donate even just $5 to the Red Cross, we know your fellow countrymen will be grateful. Thank you.

Now is not the time for presidential politics, as Chris Christie said. Way to go Romney for collecting food, but Obama is the one with the power of the pen right now.
FEMA should be eliminated.
Disaster relief and reconstruction were MUCH better in this country before FEMA. FEMA has screwed up everything they’ve been involved in, and there’s no reason to believe they won’t screw up the Aftermath of Sandy too.
Romney did state that he would take away FEMA and leave it up to the states to deal with disasters. He even went further to say that it should be privatized.
