Facebook took down post attacking Obama

On Facebook, millions of people every day share photos and posters about music, politics, romance, and every other topic under the sun. Recently, however, one group found itself banned by Facebook for a post criticizing President Obama over the debacle in Benghazi. From Brietbart:
Over the weekend, Facebook took down a message by the Special Operations Speaks PAC (SOS) which highlighted the fact that Obama denied backup to the forces being overrun in Benghazi.
The message was contained in a meme which demonstrated how Obama had relied on the SEALS when he was ready to let them get Osama bin Laden, and how he had turned around and denied them when they called for backup on Sept 11.
The group that put the meme up immediately put the meme back up, but says it was subsequently banned for 24 hours.
Facebook has responded with this statement: “This was an error and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.”
Now we need your help to get this message out. Please help us by downloading the photo and uploading it to your Facebook page.
To save the photo above and post to Facebook follow the steps below:
1) Click on the photo and then save the photo to your desktop.
2) Once you have saved the file, open your browser and visit www.Facebook.com and login.
3) Once in your Facebook account find go to your status bar and click “Add Photo/ Video”
4) Then click “Attach Photo/Video”
5) Then click the “Choose File” and find the file on your Desktop.
6) Make sure the file name is next to the “Choose File” button and type in any text you want in the Status bar where it says “Say something about this…. and click the “Post” button.

LOL an error. I’ve seen this kind of stuff happen too many times now on FB. Why not just go out and admit you support Hitler’s ideology of suppressing the “other side” through whatever means necessary you bunch of nazis.

What was the reason supplied for the takedown and ban? Was it a ToS issue or did it have to do with the written message they posted with the meme?

I guess the 1st Amendment doesn’t apply if you don’t support the current resident of the White House?! I will agree though, it was a HUGE rror on F!acebook’s part. We will not forget!!!
First Amendment does not apply to Facebook. They are a private Business and can censor anything on their website.

I am a proud card holding Republican woman. I wanted to be for Mitt Romney
but when I found out he still supports Murdock on his disgusting comment about
“Rape was part of God’s plan” I WILL NOT VOTE FOR him! No Mitt….rape
is not something that would ever become a part of God’s plan.
Christie, Just a note. Romney I’m sure has plenty of faults, as humans do, but Murdock never said that rape was a part of God’s plan. I listened to his comment myself. He said that if a pregnancy resulted from rape that “it” (that is, the pregnancy or baby) was a part of God’s plan. Rape is never, never, never part of God’s plan and he did not say that. Babies on the other hand, are a blessing from God, even when they don’t seem to be. People who were conceived in rape are some of the world’s greatest people. The media also ambushed Romney with the news paper headline “Romney says GM should go bankrupt!” Nope. He didn’t say that; it was the paper’s own headline. But that’s all people hear/see. Most never actually read that article to see what he did say. Here’s what you should pay attention to before you vote in this election. Christine, sometimes when cameras and microphones are pointed at you, (unless you have a teleprompter) things can be stated poorly and therefore misunderstood. The basic context and meaning of his comment? – God can “Make lemonade out of Lemons”…

Christine, I hope you will reconsider your vote. Whatever you think of Murdock, I believe he meant to say that God is in charge and not that God approves of rape. It was a stupid statement. But, your vote is too important to waste. People are going to die if Obamacare is not repealed. I too am a Republican and feminist. It will be the very old and the very young who die first. As a strong woman, please stand with us and protect the defenseless.
