Tea Party Patriots Tele-Town Hall

On Tuesday, Tea Party Patriots co-founder and national coordinator Jenny Beth Martin was joined by over 25,000 participants on a tele-town hall to discuss how Tea Party Patriots across the country intend to move forward with various policy and GOTV-related efforts. The call, which lasted for just over an hour, had approximately 1,600 leaders, activists and donors still listening in and contributing at the end of the strategy session.
Also joining Jenny Beth was Breitbart News Network Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon. Bannon talked about the importance of the Tea Party in 2010 and 2012, and pointed out how the establishment in both parties refuses to look at the reality of the Tea Party – even though the nation is changing because of it. As Bannon also noted, even the GOP’s National Convention talked about “grassroots” efforts in 2010 as a reaction to the President’s failed policies, not the Tea Party.
Bannon’s main contribution to the call, however, was his explanation about the forthcoming film Occupy Unmasked. According to Bannon – who directed the film – the movie will tackle how the Occupy Movement was not the spontaneous grassroots movement depicted by many media sources. Instead, the movement – to take from a Fox News article on the movie – “was not a spontaneous event that sprouted up in downtown Manhattan, but a methodically planned uprising carefully organized by unions, left-wing activists and even members of the mainstream media.”
The call covered a variety of other subjects, including GOTV efforts and updates on the fight against the President’s health care law. A number of activists asked questions and offered their thoughts on how the Tea Party Patriots should move forward in re-establishing our three core principles throughout the federal government.
One other key part of the call was discussion of Tea Party “House Parties.” With showings of Generation Zero (another one of Bannon’s films) and other events already planned, further discussion of the House Parties was very enlightening for all involved, as the House Parties are truly one of the best ways to have a low-key event that brings in many potential grassroots activists to our cause.
As always, Tea Party Patriots is grateful to its members for all of their hard work. Tea Party Patriots exists to help YOU, so if we can do that please do not hesitate to let us know in the comments or by e-mailing the support staff. Or if we can do it better, please let us know that as well.

Until you call for an end to all federal regulatory agencies and make corporate wrongdoers accountable in out judicial system you don’t really believe in Fee Markets. Conservative Republicans do not want limited government. They want government they control as do the Democrats.
Yes, a truly free market would mean the elimination of regulatory agencies, but it would also mean the elimination of all price supports (individual or corporate), all tax preferences, and all affirmative programs. I’ve probably missed some additional categories that should be added. Government at the federal level should be limited to national defense, foreign policy, enforcing sanctity of contract between residents of different states, disputes among the several states, and regulation of interstate commerce (but ONLY in the sense of ensuring that no state provides preferential treatment of its own citizens and businesses over those of another state).
I Agree with Limiting the Federal Scope and Regulations.
That said, States are not usually Strong enough to stand up to Wrongdoers
and you need a fair across the board regulation on some things for all states, It would be a free for all attitude otherwise.
Federal Regulations should have to have a vote by all states on things which need to be laterally applied to all states and be fair to all Americans. That is where our Representatives and Senators come in, They just have to do their Jobs.
I see no reason to think that having the States manage their own regulatory business would lead to any sort of “free for all”. Chances are, most States would end up coordinating with others out of a sense of self-interest. But it remains important to allow the individual States to make their own choices rather than having one-size-fits-all decisions imposed by Washington. As Michael said, federal regulation need only concern itself with ensuring that State regulations are applied uniformly within and across their borders.
I thought the TPP was co-opted by the Bully-Bosses of the GOP/RNC. Nice to hear you have problems w/both parties. How will you combat the Repubs.last minute RULES changes resulting in dismissal of Libertarian Delegates and eliminating all Grassroot impact in the party, thus turning the convention into a Coronation?
Many were asleep at the switch!
What would happen if the States wiithdraw from the Federal Government and just continue taxing the people in their own state and let the Big Wigs in washington D.C. be by them self.
