FAILURE: CBO: President’s Healthcare Law Leaves At Least 30 Million Without Insurance

Despite the largest tax increase in history, piles of debt, and the destruction of the health care industry, this law will never achieve its objective
At least 30 million non-elderly Americans will still not have health insurance in 2022, according to a recent Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report. The report, Estimates for the Insurance Coverage Provisions of the Affordable Care Act Updated for the Recent Supreme Court Decision, was issued by the CBO to update estimates provided before the court’s ruling.
According to the CBO report:
…the ACA, in comparison with prior law before the enactment of the ACA, will reduce the number of nonelderly people without health insurance coverage by 14 million in 2014 and by 29 million or 30 million in the latter part of the coming decade, leaving 30 million nonelderly residents uninsured by the end of the period. Before the Supreme Court’s decision, the latter number had been 27 million.
“Given that the entire premise of the President’s health care law was to provide health insurance to the wildly estimated 30-50 million Americans who don’t have it, it is a failure before it is out of the gate,” said Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. “The President’s health care law doesn’t even meet its own objective.”
In addition to leaving more than 30 million Americans uninsured:
· Estimates indicate that 20-35 million people will be forced from their current health insurance
· Obamacare imposes 18 new taxes or penalties totaling over $1 trillion from 2013 to 2022
· Obamacare takes $716 billion out of Medicare to pay for non-Medicare coverage provisions
· It increases government dependency by expanding government control over health care
· More than 50 percent of Americans will be enrolled in government run health care programs by 2020
· Recent news reports indicate that Obamacare will exacerbate doctor shortages and may reduce the number of students seeking to enter med-schools.
“Congress must repeal Obamacare immediately before every American is negatively impacted by this massive mistake,” continued Martin. “Most Americans still oppose this program, and opposition will continue to grow as Americans discover that the negative impact is so much greater than anything positive it has to offer. Repealing Obamacare and initiating free market solutions is a much better option.”

The Cato Institute has a good plan, based on the free market, not government policy.

this is really bad for the American People
if we keep OBAMACARE
We will repeal this debacle ….
I am healthy young grad student who just found out that according to Obamacare I have to get insurance. It is my right not to have insurance. Is there anyway I can make my voice heard? (P.s. Does anyone know of really cheap insurance, because that was not in my budget.)
Ray… Don’t buy insurance…. Fine with me…. I’m fine with that-until you get in an accident and need urgent medical care. Currently hospitals are required to provide you life saving care regardless of your ability to pay. That cost gets past on to ME. That makes you nothing more than a “welfare queen”
If Ray gets onto a car accident, the auto insurance pays the bill. Car insurance you can buy any where in the country. You can NOT buy health insurance across state lines so there is no free market compitition. ObamaCare drives cost through the ceiling adding trillions to the national debt you will have to help pay back. Return control of health care back to the people at the state level so we can buy insurance across state line, pass tort reform for health care and stop the out of control fraud that the department of health and human services refuse to control. Adding 16,000 new IRS agents to go after people that do not buy insurance is paid for by we that tax payers along with the 68,000 people working at the Department of Health and Human Services. They spent 8.3 million last year just in travel. When do they work? Bring control back to the states and the people where it belongs and we can drive down cost so people like Ray can afford to buy health insurance.
Thanks for defending my point.
My auto insurance has medical insurance attached to it. If I get into an accident, I’m fine. The point is my school has already put this obamacare policy into affect. I do want to eventually get health insurance, but I want to get it because I want to, not because I have to. It is my right to not have it. I do love my school so I’ll just get it and live with it. But if there was some way that I could politically protest, I would appreciate it.
Ray – You CAN politically protest…It’s called going to the voting booth and FIRING that clown in the Oval Office. I understand that a lot of people are unsure of Romney because “people don’t know him”.. The exact same can STILL be said for our current narcissist-in-chief. It’s been almost 4 years and we STILL aren’t exactly sure WHO he REALLY is. Yet, people like him anyway. I equivalate the Obama Mystification of America to a child that sees a strange toy and wants it. The toy has sharp edges and hurts him but the child still wants it. The toy still hurts the child but he just can’t seem to stop playing with it. The child doesn’t even know what the toy is exactly but for some strange reason, the child cannot put the toy down. That is what has happened to America. They’ve come to like this wolf but they only see his “sheepish disguises” and hear his fake promises of security. However, I’ve seen him come out of his political “dressing room” and he has the words “ALL LIES” written over his soul.
Voting for another candidate other than Romney or Obama is a basically a vote for Obama. That is the intellectual reality of this campaign. Romney WILL get rid of that INSANELY AWEFUL piece of legislation. He will create opportunities for job creation for people like you who are in school trying to make a better life for yourself. Personally, I don’t have to LIKE the guy in the Oval Office. I just want to be able to trust and respect him. Romney definitely knows the private sector and understands basic economics.
I can say for certain that I DO NOT trust or respect Obama. He is an absolute, abissmal FAILURE!!!!
