Looking around at a country now strangled by increasingly unending rules, regulations and new laws and facing an uncertain future, I stop and wonder how this all happened. I remember all the freedoms and liberties we have lost along with all our hope and dreams for the future.
I received a copy of an article that was in the 1963 Congressional Record that was chilling. Its’ purpose was to alert the public to the dangers of Communism in America. This article revealed the Communists’ clearly stated goals to take over America. Most of their 45 goals have been accomplished. Below are just some of their goals.
(4.) Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war. (6.) Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination. (7.) Grant recognition of Red China. Admit Red China to the U.N. (10.) Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N. (12.) Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party. (13.) Do away with all loyalty oaths. ( 15.) Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. ( 16.) Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities “violate civil rights”. (17.) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and the current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
(18.) Gain control of all student newspapers. ( 20.) Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions. ( 21.) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures. (24.) Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of “free speech” and “free press”. (25.) Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.
(26.) Promote homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy”. (28.) Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state”. ( 29.) Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out-of-step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis. (30.) Discredit American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the ”common man”. ( 33.) Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus. ( 36.) Infiltrate and gain control of more unions. ( 37.) Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. ( 40). Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce. (42.) Create the imp0ression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ”united force” to solve economic , political or social problems.

Many of your points are right on. A friend and I were talking last night about the state of leadership, conservatism and the media last night.
I think Ronald Reagan would support leadership that has deported more illegal immegrants than the previous adminstration. One that stands behind the American Auto industry, saving over 1 million jobs when it was very unpopular and has relaxed gun ownership legislations(versus the last adminstration),one that captured Osama Bin Laden, when others failed, one that ended the longest war in history (Iraq) and one that fought to keep student loans affordable for those young Americans trying to better themselves and better their country, America. Right now, personal income tax rates are lower than when Reagan was president. It’s all true.
Don’t be fooled by the politics of fear and lies….
If you support politicians that keep their wealth in offshore accounts and are afraid to release their personal income tax records, even when their father was a champion of releasing his tax records and insisting other did it, to show what kind of American they are, then you have your candidate.

You evade the truth and twist the facts and selectively omit key issues. The current administration has increased the debt more than all the previous presidents combined. They have abused the rule of law in bypassing congress with executive orders granting amnesty to millions or ILLEGAL immigrants. This administration attempted to take over banks, auto industry and the student loan program. We have a record number of unemployed and a record number of people on food stamps. Under Executive Privilege from the President, the Fast and Furious scandal attempted to subvert our 2nd amendment rights by creating a botched gun running operation that resulted in the death of a decorated border patrol agent Brian Terry as well as hundreds of Mexican nationals. And lets not forget the shady back room deals and procedural tactics to foist the largest tax increase in history called ObamaCare. And lets not forget the failed Green Agenda which lined the pockets of phony now bankrupt companies like Solyndra.
The choice is clear in this election, you can vote for hope and change that ended up as broken promises or you can vote to someone who has a proven record of success in the private sector who believes in the America we as the land of the free and home of the brave.

Bob, your points I right on. I had the pleasure of a listening to very smart speaker (former lawyer turned philanthrapist) who was a child during the great depession. He had made a great life for himself and helped many people along the way.
During his talk, he briefly talked politics. He said that the policies of many of todays politicians and the tea party are trying to drive us into another depression. What got us out of the depression was government spending on jobs. Once people worked, they felt better about themselves, they spent money at the local stores, which prospered and hired more people, everyone paid taxes and the economy grew. Unemployment went from 17% to under 9% in a very short time.
9 years later, many politicians were still saying those policies would not work, the country was humming along. It was not by overspending or giving personal tax breaks to the rich or having them paying a lower percentage of income tax than the middle class under the failed illusion that it will create jobs.
History is a great teacher. Everyone should study how we got out of the great depression.
Also, most questions about Romeny/ Obama care can be answered if you look at what has happen since Romney implemented it in MA in 2006.
Also, if anyone gets a chance, look at what George Bush, the smart on, said about the failures of trickle down economics.

You forgot to mention the fact that unemployment has increased, the national debt has been increased substantially along with the fact that this has been the most fiscally irresponsible administration yet, an administration that loves policies that are unconstitutional, an administration who has absolutely no respect for our founding fathers, the law, and freedom. An administration who goes against everything America was founded upon. We elect a president to give us, the people, what we want. Not to pass bills that 70% of the population are against. The president is elected to represent the people. A president who enforces policies upon the very people he is supposed to represent, really defeats the purpose of electing that president.
Just to mention a few things. And a VERY few things mind you.
And where did you come up with the 70%. Did you see Mitt Romney when hes said get rid of Obama care the republicans booed him. People want affordable health care and no preconditions. I just went to a new doctor for a new patient interview, nothing wrong with me and it was just under $500. That’s crazy!
An Open Letter to the Tea Party,
This is an open letter to members of the Tea Party. I am an unabashed Progressive. I made the mistake of voting for President Obama in ’08, thinking and naively believing that he would change the system/politics/moneyed interests etc, ad nauseum. Needless to say, I and most other Progressives were fooled. Do I still believe in Progressive principles? Of course. I believe that we need to help each other in a responsible and clear-eyed fashion; weed out corruption and financial coercion in our local/state/federal institutions; equal opportunity and fair play. Does any of these principles, and I mean the principles that real Progressives adhere to and not the one that Fox News or MSNBC prescribes to us, sound familiar to you? I think so.
Both ends of the political spectrum, you and I, are angry. Very angry. I am tired of fear-based conversations based on ridiculous ascriptions from both the left and right on their political opposites. I am tired of the Elites (intellectual, media, financial, industrial, commercial, and religious) taking advantage of our collective ignorance and insecurity, on both left and right, to secure their own power bases and corruption. To be honest, if we leave the ignorant and emotional arguments aside, I believe we have a lot in common. It is the Elites who have destroyed our American Exceptionalism, the Democratic and Republican Parties, the middle and the working classes.
My father is an 88-year-old WWII Veteran Republican. I found him quietly crying in his chair the other day. I asked him why he was crying. He said he does not recognize his own country anymore. He said he fought and watched his buddies to what end? We saved the world from Fascism and eventually Communism, only to see us devolved into a name-calling, ignorant, selfish and mean-spirited country. But he and I (also a Veteran) have hope. We believe that if the common man and woman in this country can rise up and take back our country from the Elites, then maybe the reasons for his fighting in WWII, our brothers and sisters fighting now, and my serving my country overseas during the Cold War will have not been in vain. Maybe those of us, both “left” and “right” who are Americans first, can leave these stupid divisions and work together to reclaim our country, then maybe their is hope for us. For we are definitely NOT a democracy at the moment, but a plutocracy, and oligarchy and both of us know this in our hearts and our souls. Eventually we will know this in our minds and then put away our differences and take back our government and our country.

Bells are sounding, but they’re warning me that your post has little basis in reality. As it happens, there aren’t too many communists left in the world, and there are none dictating American policies, our way of life, or whatever unnamed “unending rules, regulations, and new laws” you have in mind. The only sources I could find for your list of items read into the Congressional record (by whom?) were right-wing and conspiracy-theory websites of dubious credibility.
Most Americans favor rights for gay people instead of treating them as second-class citizens. A Republican president, Richard Nixon, established relations with China. There are no Soviet satellite nations anymore, and we have strategic partnerships with many of the former Soviet republics.
Unions aren’t communist, and they’re on the decline. Student newspapers are independent, and the top-rated cable news outlet is conservative FOX. The internet has guaranteed countless outlets for free speech on all points of the political spectrum. Communists don’t control it.
I’m not sure what social service agencies you think are usurping the powers of the police. Crime statistics are down from two decades ago, and we have a record number of people in prison, but I don’t think that has anything to do with the goals of communist infiltrators.
Communists haven’t made us more likely to divorce.
The only armed insurrectionists I hear about are right-wing militias, not college students.
The Supreme Court, which has never been accused of harboring communist-sympathizers, has ruled on when prayer is appropriate in schools.

Every day I become more furious about the illegal treachery the president puts fourth as new policy. What he is doing is illegal. Are we really this powerless against the biggest threat in America; Obama? I never though I would see the day when people ignore the fact that our government betrays us right in front of our own eyes! The president is committing felony after felony and nobody cares? The other branches of the government are so corrupt they do nothing to stand in his way. Why have a legal system? Why have a constitution? Nobody abides by it. We might as well tear down the border fence between Mexico and the U.S and roll out the red carpet!
This morning I read about the president’s new policy to allow illegal aliens the right to enter the country freely. The immigration and customs officials may loose their jobs if they stand in their way. What the Hell? All these people have to say is; They are not criminals and they have an education. What type of national security is this?? The border patrol cannot even ask them to verify their claims or they may loose their jobs. Who does this maniac work for? Is he representing the Mexican citizens or us? Did they vote for him? Maybe he should go be president of Mexico!
Drug cartels are skyrocketing in numbers. Illegals are preying on our welfare system. The government is inviting aliens here and handing them a welcome package! This is free education, free healthcare, amnesty, food stamps and welfare. The Department of Homeland Security seems to be more concerned about taking rights away from legal citizens than millions of illegal immigrants rushing into this country. We don’t know who or what they are and now we’re not allowed to ask. This is a huge breach of national security! According to Obama this isn’t a problem. At least we’re not offending people who knowingly break a federal law.
I see this as an act of war against America. All of our branches of government have betrayed us and have committed crimes against its people.

Well said Hanna. You are completely right. Whoever supports this administration along with its policies, and calls themself a patriot, really needs to look at the views we were founded upon, and the role of the government in particular. Everything you said is completely true, and it is scary how much in common Obama and Hitler have in common, especially how they came to power. I think its really funny that the Liberals are still trying to blame Bush for everything today. Its been almost four years, I think its time to start taking some responsibility. Not to mention things today are CONSIDERABLY worse today due to this administrations socialist policies. I honestly do not know how they even try to argue that they, and Obama in particular, are not socialists. They need to look up the definition of socialism, and they will see that almost everything they believe in, and everything this administration has tried to do is socialism.
According to our founding fathers, the role of the government should be to protect our individual freedom and that was about the extent of it. They believed in fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and a free market. This administration has done everything in its power to destroy every one of those things. They have increased the debt like no other administration ever has, they have tried to expand the government and give it more control every chance they get, and have passed or tried to pass bill after bill that completely strangles the free market. How can these people call themselves patriots? It is my personal belief that this administration and alot of the democratic party, not all, want to destroy and bankrupt this country so they can implement their socialist policies more easily. If this was to happen, everyone would look to the government to fix things and give them complete power. By doing this, you not only have the opportunity to expand the government and its control tremendously, but you also make everybody dependant upon the government. And when you get the people dependant on the government, they dont want to rock the boat for fear that the government will take away their healthcare, welfare, foodstamps, etc., and then you have complete control. You can call me crazy, but the facts and the policies this administration has passed speak for themselves. This theory is clearly demonstrated when the democrats try to tell the lower class and elderly people that the republicans want to take away their medicare/medicaid(which is not true of course). These people then vote for them out of fear that their medicaid will be taken away. That is socialism. And that is not the only tactic that makes me believe more and more everyday that this administration is trying to make things as bad as possible to enforce more control. The fact that we just keep spending more and more money when we are in dire straights already. Passing Obama Care, which again puts fear into people that if they dont vote for Obama, their healthcare will be taken away. I would like to know who you want to take the country back from – not the guys who write your social security checks, or the medicare/medicaid checks. How about the government employees who put out your fires or keep the streets safe? Or the government regulators who keep your environment, air and water clean and safe? You people want to go back to the 19th Century when children as young as 12 were working 10 hour days, there was no minimum wage, factories were death houses, and money made all of the rules. What you don’t realize is that once you “take the country back”, guess who will be there to receive it? The millionaires. You aren’t in their club, believe it!

This is a famous document. The alarm was raised over fifty years ago and the bleeding heart liberals used their favorite tactic (preying on your feelings and emotions) to advance a socialist agenda.

the people with money are writing laws for themselves, to enrich themselves. they chose this business model as they lost faith in groundup growth and opportunity. too many complainers on R and D side. but if tea party patriots want to thank someone for keeping the country on track they should start with pot smoking liberal software and web people in san francisco. ironically. which is one of the few hotbeds of hard work and innovation the past decade.

Yeah right, we conservatives owe so much to San Francisco’s pot smoking software companies for keeping the liberal nation from totally devoting themselves to Obama and his liberal policies. Those same employees and the companies continue to vote in liberal politicians that continue to install liberal policies. California state really is on the edge of totally balancing their state budget.
What you are talking about reveals a strong ‘class envy’ and socialist indoctrination. Socialist economics along the line mentioned above have proven to be unsustainable. These statements belong with those like them on Moveon.org.

If you really understood what is going on financially, you would know that if you took ALL the money from EVERY wealthy person, that would only be enough to run our government for 2 wks. OR LESS.
The problem is the massive, prolifigate spending. We are currently borrowing something like 42 cents on EACH &EVERY dollar we spend! You can’t run a government like that with constant DEFICIT spending. We are going to end up like Greece….no money and riots in the streets.

Keep in mind, the first 6 years of Pres. Bush’s term we were doing very well. Over 50+straight quarters of RECORD GROWTH, which was unheard of. People were buying 2nd cars and going on vacations. But, people were tired of the war and during the mid-term elections of 2006, wanting “hope and change”, we made the mistake of voting for the DEMOCRATS who took over control of Congress. That’s when things started going “south” real fast! Of course, Liberal DEMOCRATS ALWAYS FAIL to mention that fact. They controlled ALL spending from that election in 2006 until 2011, when the Republicans took back control of Congress.
For 2 whole years of Obama’s term, they controlled the House & Senate and achieved everything single thing they wanted…..often resorting to bribery and coersion of their own party to pass legislation the country didn’t want.
