Tea Party Will Carry Momentum into November
News Release – Today, the Tea Party Patriots, the nation’s largest tea party organization, cheered former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz’s Republican primary win for U.S. Senate.
“Ted Cruz’s victory is a victory for all Texans and Americans who support limited government, fiscal responsibility and free market ideals,” said Jenny Beth Martin, Co-Founder and National Coordinator for Tea Party Patriots. “Ted Cruz’s come-from-behind, tea party-supported victory is further proof that Americans are no longer willing to tolerate elected official delivered to them by the political and special interests that are responsible for so many of the problems we have in Washington and across our nation.
“The tea party proved its effectiveness in Indiana, Wisconsin and now in Texas, and we will take this momentum into November.”
Tea Party Patriots is a national grassroots coalition with more than 3,400 locally organized chapters and more than 15 million supporters nationwide. Tea Party Patriots is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting the principles of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets. The Silent Majority is coming back, one vote at a time…..wait until November.
Bill, the “silent” majority is no longer silent! Tea Party Patriots and the Tea Party Movement is alive and well and in November we will win!
I beg to differ on that assertion. While the Tea Party may be more recognized, it is still denounced by both the Dems and the GOP. Not only that but the Tea Party is not nearly as discussed in the media as the major political parties are. With all that being said, I actually look at it as a good thing. I think it is best to keep below the radar and maintain the grassroots nature of the movement than to become a major spectacle…much like what you see coming from the far left and the uber right on a daily basis. I definitely prefer the term “sleeping giants” considering the size of the Tea Party and how unnoticed it is by so many. This is definitely an exciting scenario playing out to say the least.
Ah but there are still so many issues that divide us and I fear that those issues are political taboo and so dictator Obama continues to drive wedges into our patriots and our country while his party of derelicts, slanderers and murderers stands united. This is not rhetoric folks….go to the website http://www.unborn.info to watch a video and if you can leave this web-site unchanged then I ask you ask yourself whether you might be more at home in the party of feminist radicals like Barbara Boxer and Hillary.. Ah, perhaps I’ve hit a nerve…. If the Tea Party refuses to galvanize around pro-life issues the same way the Dems have galvanized around pro-death(choice) then I do fear that our gonads will continue to trump our intellect and we will remain forever a divided group of patriots: some whose religion is the economy; others whose religion is national defense; others with still more divergent religions, but none with the basic moral foundation from which all liberty and freedom of man derives: the dignity of man as a creation in the image of his/her Maker.

Yet another conservative moron ……
So typical of a liberal. When all else fails, use a little name-callilng. Difference these days is that we don’t care. Go ahead. Call us names.
What a win! Even big money republicans & Rino’s said he couldn’t win. He did. Liberal democrats said the Tea Party was dead, (wishful thinking). How soon they forgot the elections of 2010. Just wait until November, when the current occupier of the White House is soundly defeated. We march on!!
Do you think we could actually throw out Mitt Romney? Im new here so I dont know what is happening…
I have not heard of another candidate supported by any tea party that could defeat Mitt Romney. Mr. Romney is not my choice but a better option than the current administration.
Dwight, I think you pointed out something that the Tea Party should pursue going forward. While I do not disagree with your point of Mitt Romney being the better choice at this point, we need to change the philosophy of picking the lesser of two evils. It can also be argued that we faced the same predicament in the last election, but I doubt that Sen. McCain could have done worse that Obama has done to this point. But I digress…
Simply put, it cannot be denied that the Tea Party has made immense progress in appealing to the masses, as evidenced by the victories over the past two years. Granted, it has taken some time, but people are gradually coming around and realizing that this movement is conservative in nature, not “Republican”. I will also present the argument that there are people on the left that are gaining appreciation for what the Tea Party stands for: http://web.gbtv.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=23535159&topic_id=24584158
I keep digressing! Matt Kibbe from FreedomWorks harps on it all the time: this is simply the beginning. If we let up at any point, then the goals set will never come to fruition. I move to deem this election the last time we, as Americans, decide to accept the lesser of any evil…period.
By the way, the link I provided also talks about Agenda 21. If you don’t know what it is, it’s a plan set up by the UN. On the outside they are preaching a greener world, but if you look at it closer, it is a path to a totalitarian, single world power. It is no longer a conspiracy: it is, in fact, well under way to becoming a reality. Spread the word!
In Texas’ republican primary 3 of the 5 tea party supported candidates won. I am very pleased and looking forward to November.
Talking about elections…Thus, it is not an exaggeration to describe this as the most important press conference in U.S. history, because it explicitly details, with new facts and more evidence than ever presented in one place at one time, from extensive, highly credible sources, the dangerously extremist nature of President Obama and the true goals of his virulently anti-American, radical leftist administration… AMERICANS NEED TO KNOW. I need to bring this up first and foremost:
My home was Boston, MA for 20 years…prior to joining the military. I know for a fact that – had I still lived out there – I would most likely fall right in line with the indoctrinated youth on the left. After spending 4 years in the Air Force, and the past 5+ years in Texas, I can honestly say that I have a much fuller understanding of what is going on in this country than I would have if I chose to go back home.
I can definitely say, with conviction, that Texas is much more FREE than Massachusetts is. While one could associate “FREE” from a cost perspective, I am speaking from a Constitutional perspective. Seeing so many different perspectives over the years gave me the motivation to do research and read as much as my brain could possibly take. I will not lie, I was a major Tea Party skeptic.
It took reading and understanding the Constitution (something I did NOT do in Boston) to understand the Tea Party was not something extreme, racist, facist, or anything else the left wanted to associate it with. I began to notice all sorts of claims of violence from the Tea Party, but no photos or video to corroborate those claims. Yet, those same outlets would praise the OWS movement, without highlighting the violence, rape, foiled bomb plots and other events. I came to know at that point the hypocrisy that is the Main Stream Media.
While it is not yet an official victory for a senate seat, Ted Cruz being selected to run for Senate is a clear testament to the message by the Tea Party. One by one, the establishment is being removed and being replanced by what I would like to call Constitutionalists. I do not see them as Republicans, nor Democrats. They are Conservatives, who are willing to put everything on the line to preserve our freedoms and the Constitution. Bless them all. We will get there. I am a true believer in that fact.
Cruz, we are very happy for you. But we will be watching and intend to hold your feet to the fire.
Lets hope that elections across the nation go wildly in favor of electing true conservatives. It almost appears that we are on our way to achieving that level. At least hopefully will block those that are elected on a liberal communist ticket.
I believe, as alot of people do, that simple common sense practices are the best way to do business.
Electing Cruz was a huge blow to the norm of politics as we know it and I for one hope that it continues. Politics have become too danged big and too cumbersome in more ways than most of us care to count.
As an elected official, of any office, you should be held accountable. By that I mean held accountable to the people as a whole, not just the ones whom elected you to that particular office.
I stand by my post some time ago concerning elected officials whom pandered to the press for the purposes of air time and lobbying to keep their jobs, all the while not doing the job they were elected to do in the first place. If we as an employee didn’t perform on the production line, in the office, or at the assembly plant, we would be warned, then, subsequently fired (unless you are a union member, then you can waste time doing whatever strikes your fancy). I still firmly believe that if, as an elected official, you are not doing the job for which you were “hired” you should be unceremoniously fired, publicly, and a new election be held immediately to fill your vacancy.
Let me break this down even further. When I say “unceremoniously fired, publicly”, I mean that once it has been determined by an independent review board (performed by regular people, whom pay their taxes, vote, obey the law, not some tax payer funded fact finding junket that produces nothing, and makes excuses for one of its own i.e. Attorney General Eric Holder), and it is determined beyond a reasonable doubt that you blatantly thumbed your nose to your employer (i.e. the people) then a representative of that board will meet you at your office, in order to tell you face to face (with a news camera crew present, filming live) that you have a set period of time (say, an hour) to clear out your office and vacate the premises immediately, their services no longer being required. In short, they are fired. They lobbied publicly to attain that position, they should be fired as such. The same should be done for any public office, all the way to the White House.
Why is there a double standard for elected officials? What gives them the right to continue to raise their own pay and benefits even when they get nothing accomplished, yet we have to work seven days a week to put food on the table all the while attempting to raise a family with sound principal’s, moral decency, and a healthy respect for others?
The Tea Party, in my estimation, is pretty middle of the road conservative. I’ve never met a tp’er that is a racist, bigot, completely uncaring individual. I applaud them for that. Steps are being taken to make things right in our country once again. I ,myself, am a middle of the road conservative. I believe in what I call the three “c’s” concerning true conservatism and all are self explanatory. They are:
Common Decency, Common Courtesy, and above all Common Sense.
I firmly believe that Conservatism cannot survive with these immutable truths, and yes, they are self evident.
Good decisions are being made, albeit one conservative candidate at a time. It’s good, stable progress to much smaller gov’t interference in the lives of individual Americans. Let’s face it, you cannot legislate everything, and you shouldn’t even try.
Keep up the good work, Tea Party Patriots.
God Bless Texas and God Bless the United States of America
My apologies, what I mean to say was that I believe that “true Conservatism cannot survive without these immutable truths, and yes, they are self evident.”
Again, my apologies for any confusion.
God Bless Texas and God Bless the United States of America
I have been searching for a TEA PARTY group in Texas and no one can give me an address and I will not make a contribution to a P.O. Box # and above all definitely not a P.O. Box # in WASHINGTON, P-E-R-I-O-D!
Your treatment of Chuck Hegel recipient of two purple hearts was despicable . Wow, you have been there such a short time. Who are you McCarthy? You and your tea party friends are awful to keep obstructing progress. Then, you go on vacation. In case you aren’t informed the President won the election. The people of this country are hating the Republican party. If you have two purple hearts, go ahead and obstruct. Of course you do not! You are an ugly man who is trying to make a name for yourself. Guess what? We don’t like you.
