The TSA Can’t Even Screen Their Own Employees

The last few times I have flown have not been pleasant experiences,
thanks to the TSA! I was told I was selected for additional screening
like I had won the lottery. I didn’t do anything to warrant this
extra screening. Nothing was detected in my luggage or on my person
and I don’t look like a terrorist. (Oh wait, strike that last part,
it isn’t politically correct!) I purchased an over-sized sweatshirt
the last time I visited Phoenix because I was cold!! After passing
through the metal detectors at the airport, I was given a lecture and
a pat down by a very rude TSA employee. She informed me that her job
would be a lot easier if people wouldn’t wear over-sized clothing.
It doesn’t even matter that the 4th amendment guards against
unreasonable searches and seizures. The TSA marches on, trampling on
our Constitutionally given rights.
The TSA and airports are not even capable of screening their own
employees. So, why are we so quick to let them trample on our rights?
Does the TSA really make people feel safer? Really? The TSA has
bullied 4 year old children and grandmas in wheelchairs, but have they
made our airways safer? I don’t think so.
Earlier this week, Bimbo Olumuyia Oyelwole, a 54 year old Nigerian
national and security supervisor at Newark Liberty Airport was able to
pass work related background checks for 17 years even though he had
stolen the identity of a man that had been murdered two decades
earlier. That’s comforting, TWO DECADES!!! And this guy was a
supervisor!
In Los Angeles, four TSA employees have been charged for accepting
payment to let large quantities of drugs pass through inspection
points. Thirty-six TSA employees, including the director were
recently fired for not screening baggage for explosives. Multiple
news agencies have reported that over 500 TSA employees have been
fired for stealing passengers property since it’s inception.
With all the press of how vulnerable we are at our airports and the
Transportation Security Association (TSA) being created to protect the
nation’s transportation system to ensure freedom of movement for
people and commerce you would think they would at least be able to
screen their own employees! The current administration has even
announced that the war on terror is over – but the assault on US
citizens at our nation’s airports continues, and has expanded to train
stations and rest stops. Could it be the TSA was created for the purpose
of increasing the size of government and decreasing our rights?
As Americans, I believe it is our duty to insist that this attack on
our liberties be stopped. It’s time to start writing our government

Im convinced that this is a well strategized plan to trample our rights. We have to stand up now before its too late. Back off big brother. You are not wanted.
Right on. The idea is to get Amerikans to obey instantly all orders, no matter how ridiculous, from authority figures in uniform, to be sheeple, and submit quietly and quickly. For when the SHTF…….
Bart, I think your on to something there. If we are groomed to follow. We like the lemmings will run off of that proverbial cliff, when told to do so…
Israel does not use these methods and they are quite successful at screening people. They base certain criteria on whether a person could be a potential threat, background, nationality, history, etc. This here in the US is a huge attack on our personal liberties and is quite frankly perverse. I, for one, do not want anyone groping my person, children or grandchildren. Why should we be surprised though. This adminstration encourages gay marraige and everything else.
TSA security has become an Orwellian farce. They molest travelers, while allowing unchecked workers clearances to any part of the airport, allowing over 50% of the cargo on airlines to remain unscreened and hire criminals and child molesters to staff checkpoints.
So far this year 12 TSA workers have been arrested, including one for child pornography and 4 for smuggling drugs through LAX. In 2011 there were 72 TSA screeners arrested for serious crimes, including 11 for sex crimes involving children, 4 for smuggling guns and drugs through security, one murder and one rape.
TSA costs us over $8 billion a year wasted on repeatedly feeling up former Cabinet officials, Congressmen, Senators and millions of others who pose no risk. They have mindlessly traumatized and humiliated millions of adults and children while never apprehending one terrorist nor preventing one hijacking.
If the cost of this illusion of airport security is assault on innocents by Government goons while failing to produce any tangible benefit in a decade, then the cost is far too high.

I experienced the TSA’s “friendliness” personally last Christmas, flying from Boise ID back to Billings MT. I had passed through security, picked up my little travel-on, got my shoes back on and proceded to go forward. I was tapped on the shoulder and told I needed further screening. The female TSA demonstrated how she would search me and asked if i would like a more private setting. Just for kicks, I said yes. So, two female agents took me to a room where one ran her hands down the front and back and sides of me. Then, as she finished up commented “feels like a normal bra to me”. Totally unnecessary and as I walked away wondered, ‘did I get singled out because they didn’t look the looks of my bra?’. But America is more secure because a blue-eyed, blonde of German decent got frisked.
what does gay marriage have to do with the tea party?
WE have the democrats to thank for the TSA mess as they pushed govt control over private contractors which in every area shows successes. WE need to shelve the whole agency and return to a meritocracy
