The GOP is aging. The democrats have guaranteed that they stay in power with their policies of entitlements & open borders. Many feel that there is no difference between Democrats & Republicans. What makes us different? What do Republicans believe? What makes us different? What is our political history? NBRA.info and why do conservative principles work? They want us to shut up and get out of their way so they can turn America into a third world nation with them at the top and us at the bottom. A nation of serfs. They have taken off the gloves and tell it like it is. The left excuses the worst behavior from their side and yet destroys anybody on the right that gets in their way. They forgive bomb throwers like Van Jones (a declared Marxist and former Obama Czar until Beck outed him) and crude language by others, yet get upset over the slightest blunt remark by our side. Enough. It’s time we tell the truth. It’s time we restore our country and once and for all expunge the dangerous Leftist agenda from our schools and country. It’s time we give tribute and honor to our military and the fantastic work they do to protect and defend not only our freedoms here; but also abroad. Reagan Reagan Reagan when will the worship end? Reagan is part of the problem. Why is Obama so popular? Is it because of his policies or is it because he understands that people are tired of the religious right of telling everyone what they can and can’t do. I am a fiscal conservative who isn’t concerned if you’re gay or straight, if you do or don’t use contraception, if you go to this church or that one, and on and on I could go. What I am concerned about is that we borrow more than we produce, we no longer manufacture anything in this country, we allow corporations to send jobs out of the country to boost the company’s bottom line while we have people on welfare who want to work, but can’t find a decent job that pays a decent wage to feed the family. So the conservatives complain that these people get Earned Income Tax Credits when they don’t pay taxes. I guess you’d feel better if they just starved. After all that would be one less moocher wouldn’t it? We need to find solutions that are equitable so that those who want to work can. And for those unfortunate who are unable, a sustainable living where they do something to help support the economy rather than drain from it. Lets find workable solutions in a spirit of love and compassion (fruits of the spirit) rather than from a spirit of anger and hatred.

I, too, could care less whether you’re gay or not. I, too, am a fiscal conservative. I don’t think we should be spending money that we don’t have. Most of the problem is caused by the bleeding hearts who have demolished the family unit by encouraging parents to not marry by handing out funds as if there is no tomorrow. Parents should get married THEN have their children and WORK to support them. That is why we must be more than a fiscal conservative. Re-establish the familty unit and other things follow. It has been proven that children with married parents are more stable emotionally, do better in school, as well as socially and are fewer incarcerated than their peers who live in a single parent home, especially one that subsists on welfare.
I personally have a similar ideology as you. Fiscally conservative, and socially liberal. This election, however, I am not voting by my social agenda, but my fiscal one. We are flat out broke. Actually we are worse than broke…16 Trillion reasons to vote out the POTUS. Lets get back to a position where compassion really makes a difference, and is not reduced to a comfortable ‘slogan’ that makes us sleep better at night. That position is fiscal stability in my opinion, and we have 2 VIABLE choices this year. A choice to elect a spendthrift that would be unfettered to public opinion in his second (and hopefully final) term, or a choice for something else. I’ll take Romney.

I would ask you to look at the national deficit, a minus, as viewed alone, but also look at the GDP in parellel. I will be happy to help any one who can not work or contribute. Also, please research the demographics of who ends in poverty and who rises above ? I think you will find that children of a family with a mother and father, not divorced, fair much better than children from alternative arangements. Children from single parents have a huge disadvantage compared to children from conventional families. How long do you think I should pay for social experimentation into “correcting” such disparities ? The huge taxes i pay could have alternativly allowed me to start up a buisiness I have dreamed about for years that would creat jobs. Instead, the money is used to experiment with social engineering and failed policies.

Not enough people think like you do. The majority will always vote Republican or Democrat. Because of that, voting for anyone other then the Republican candidate will divide the vote and nobama will get back in for sure.
Well it seems a lot of conservatives are falling for the establishment candidate again. Isn’t it funny how people in masses can be guided to wherever the one with the most money takes them? It is a phenomena that hsppens every election, and none of us seem to see it until it is too late (hindsight is better than foresight). Who backed Obama in ’08? Who is backing Romney in ’12? All the elite corrupt corporations that were part of the bailout and some are based in Europe! But, people are easily swayed by the good looking, smoother talking candidate that promises jobs (which the government does not create) and better times for the masses. Campaign promises that will inevitably be broken. If a candidate moves to the left, the right or center in order to get your vote, they are lying to you, period. I have listened to people over the decades say, “why can’t we get an honest politician?” The reason we do not get honest politicians, is because when one comes along, we listen to the elite and call him crazy. The elite do believe the honest candidate is crazy as the honest candidate will end their status quo, and they do not want that. Go ahead and put Romney as the nominee, he will give Obama a second term and our country, as we know it, will be dead.
A third party is the same as a vote for Obama. DON’T DO IT!! (Remember Ross Perot??) Santorum was the best bet for a Conservative President but we now must all unite behind Romney if we want any chance at taking our country back! Hopefully Romney will choose a super conservative VP (Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, Alan West, Joe Arpaio, Bobbie Jindal).
I believe the answer to your question is a rather simple one. There is no way possible to have another candidate come in and win the Republican nomination at this point, and no third party candidate will ever have a shot at winning the presidency. To even run a third party candidate would divide the conservative vote and guarantee an Obama victory. Believe me; Romney was far from being my first choice as President, but when it comes down to Obama or Romney; and realistically that is the choice we have, Romney gets my vote. It is time that we stop dreaming of the perfect conservative candidate because it is just not going to happen this year. We all need to rally around the best shot we have to stop the assured destruction of this country that four more years of Obama would produce. Real conservatives like Rubio or Rand Paul would be great VP choices.
I am a Republican who registered as a Republican in Florida in 1958 when the Registrars were saying there were no primaries and I was wasting my voting privilege. I was the FIRST candidate in the state of Florida of either party to take the Candidates’ Oath in March 1966.
I view with serious alarm the rise of Romney, the RINO, when his history is not Conservative and he flip-flops on virtually every issue. I am disillusioned with John Boehner who had the opportunity to do what I remember Newt Gingrich doing as Speaker, briefly let the government shut down but emerge with a balanced budget and a rapidly rising economy.
As a result, I see ONLY TWO MEN who have the history and the guts to do what is necessary to save America. Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain. I have officially withdrawn from the RNC over Romney and now encourage the TEA PARTY, which I have joined, to register as a political party immediately in all 50 states and field oour own candidates.
Over 62 percent of total voters indicate conservative leanings. The Democrats are radical socialist and the Republican Party has chosen to take a “moderate” compromise with the liberal position. We MUST fight for the America we love. Four of my ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War to give us the United States. I do not want to see us become a Soviet Union of America.
Finally, George Soros, arch enemy of Conservatives and major push behind Obama has stated that Obama and Romney are alike to him and he doesn’t care who wins this November. That was on a liberal interview show and I saw and heard Soros so state himself to a liberal host.

Ron Paul is a conservative, Eisenhower was a conservative, Robert Taft was a conservative. Most of you wouldn’t know freedom if it bit you on the asses. Allen West or Paul Ryan would be very good VP candidates. They are solid conservatives. For all you libertarians out there, before you condemn conservatism learn it first. Once you do, you’ll see that reasonable libertarians and conservatives have common ground to economic policies and our U.S constitution. Conservatives never created, helped or endorse modern liberal policies since Woodrow Wilson. It was always liberal Democrats and liberal Republicans(Establishment) who marched along with liberal policies. Ronald Reagan who was our only real conservative president in modern times would have done more on what he preached if he had a conservative, even some libertarian ,Congress. That wasn’t the case back then. Mitt Romney is no Ronald Reagan, but he is a whole lot better than the current president who touts communist/ socialist rhetoric. Give me an example when Mitt Romney ever touted communist/ socialist rhetoric? If we get a conservative/ libertarian Congress Romney will govern that way. OBAMA ABSOLUTELY NO WAY!

My thinking exactly. Romney has the expertise (and confidence of American Business) to turn around the economy if it can be turned around at all, but he has no experience in foreign policy. Allen West would balance that perfectly, and Romney also understands the necessity of building a strong management team rather than relying on cronyism and egos. Romney / West would put America back on its feet so we could tackle the remaining problems facing our nation.

I, too, love Allen West, and I believe that he is the real deal but there is a factor which may make him unelectable. You have to realize that the only real obstacle to saving our Freedom is the ignorance and apathy of the American people. Let’s face it, almost a majority of Americans have no idea of the onslaught on our liberty that waits in the wings to make an appearance in the second term. All they know is that Nobama hasn’t done a good job for them personally and that he is black. A small percentage, enough to decide a close race, will never vote for a ticket containing a black man. It’s sad but true that Nobama has set back the cause of the black race for decades.

You are so right about ignorance of a majority of voters. Allen West does have a lot of my admiration and I think he is doing a great job as a representative. He also has a great deal of international experience which is very needful. But the biggest problem in this country right now is the run-away spending of the Federal and state governments and I see Newt gingrich as the only man who has proven his ability and the guts to follow through to lead the country out of the fiscal mess and restore faith in business and employment. Next to him is the previously non-politician but very successful businessman, Herman Cain. The two of them would turn our nation around.
As to your comments about four more years under Obama, I don’t think he will wait for the November elections to find sufficient excuse to declare a National Emergency, followed by Martial Law (Notice how he is weeding out opposition in the military so only those who will obey him blindly are in power? Notice how he is bringing troops home to be available to enforce Martial Law?). Thereafter, every conservative voice (like mine and yours and even Supreme Court justices and members of congress) will be silenced and Josef Jugashvili Obama will emerge. (Josef Jugashvili, native of Gori, and grew up in T’bilisi of Georgia was the notorious Josef Stalin, in case any didn’t know!)

The Progressives have waited for this election since Woodrow Wilson. They have been nibbling away at the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, the Supreme Court, the Two-Party system etc for decades. Nobama’s second term would be the final end to the Freedom of Speech, the Right to Assemble, the Right to bear arms and all of the other Bills of Rights.
The Supreme Court by one means or another would gain another progressive Judge making the Court irrelevant. The Congress would be circumvented by the Executive branch Czars, making the Congress irrelevant.
In his second term the National Labor Relations Board would be given the power to force unionization across all industries. All Right to Work legislation would be repealed. Is it not obvious what we see in store in Nobama’s second term when you see what the NLRB tried to do to Boeing when they planned a new plant in SC, a Right to Work State. Wait until his second term when there are no constraints.
Nobama’s energy secretary uttered a second-term statement a while back and revealed Nobama’s plans for energy in his second term. Gas prices in Europe approach $10 per gal in some countries. He said “We have to find some way to make gas prices in the US the same as in Europe”. That’s an exact quote.
Everything I have outlined above has been in action during his first term. He has had to be cautious and not nibble too much as even the ignorant American citizenry will realize what he meant by “fundamentally changing America” if it becomes too obvious. But with a second term there is no reason to be cautious and we’ll see blatant destruction of the freedoms that we are accustomed to.
Make no mistake, the Progressives intend nothing less than a one-party system as in Russia. Alexandr Putin has shown the Progressives the way and that’s the path they will follow. Putin will be President for Life, expect Obama to be the same.
This election is not about Republicans vs Democrats, folks, the Democrat Party exists in name only, Progressives have hi-jacked the Democrat Party and I’m sure JFK and Truman are spinning like a whirlwind in their graves.
I am truly distressed at the so-called Conservatives, Tea-Party Patriots all who state that they cannot support or fund Romney as he isn’t conservative enough. How can you be so ignorant of the real dangers? Our basic liberties of speech and assembly, all of the Rights we are accustomed to stand on the brink of elimination. The basic Right of a free election is in danger!
I personally believe that Romney understands the brink we rest on as well as I do. I believe that he is a good man, a loyal American and will not want his five sons and his grandchildren to grow up in the kind of America Obama is hell-bent on forcing upon us. I believe that in order to be elected Governor of the most liberal state in the union that he had to move to the left. Once in office he vetoed hundreds of bills submitted by the liberal Congress, balanced the budget and endeared himself to the people of Massachusets, overwhelmingly social liberals. They learned to appreciate fiscal conservativism when they saw that it worked.
I don’t believe we have any choice but to get behind this very good man who has proven himself in our free market Capitalist system and who has gained the experience necessary to manage our government using proven conservative principles.
I say pair him up with Marco Rubio or Chris Christi and get behind them like the wolf is at the door, spend your time and your treasure to defend American like their is no tomorrow, for I can tell you, folks without any doubt, if nobama gets a second term there is a pack of bloodthirsty Progressives at the door, the have their eye on the prize and for those of us who love America, the Land of the Free, there is no tomorrow, just today and less than seven months remain to save Freedom for our children and Grandchildren.
I’m a Texan, we are a majority of loyal Americans and Conservatives. We are aware of the onslaught on our liberty that faces us. A majority of us will support in national elections whomever can save us from Progressive Socialism/Marxism.
As I don’t have to spend my limited funds in Texas I contribute to Governor Scott Walker, to State Congressional races where I can make a difference and I will support Mitt Romney as best I am able.
At this point I can’t see the difference in Romney, Santorum, Paul, Gingrich or any of the other candidates who dropped out. They, to a man or woman, would have given us at least a chance of saving our way of life.

Tri-cia is right. As a lifelong-almost 75-year-old who saw that the Democratic Party I grew up in was no more Democratic and in 1958, when I couldn’t vote for local candidates for doing so, I registered Republican. I receive regular opinion surveys from RNC and various other Republican committees and have served in numerous local party posts.
But I have served notice that I will NOT stand by and watch the architect of Romneycare, renamed nationwide as Obamacare, a man who panders to powerful unions in one community, claims strong conservatism in the next, etc., etc. ad inifinitum to destroy the credibility of the Republican Party and the conservative movement while I am a member.
I cannot go as far as to be a libertarian nor an isolationist as Ron Paul advocates so passionately, but let common sense prevail. Those who say Romney is better than Obama remind me of the “…better Red than dead…” philosophy of the 1950′s and 60′s.
If you know who, more than others, pushed Obama to the White House, it was MOVE-On’s George Soros. Certain people hereabouts watch MSNBC and their radical socialist positions and I SAW and HEARD an interviewer interview Soros. Soros stated plainly to the moderator that he really does not care which one wins so long as it is either Romney or Obama.

I do not have exact figures, but based on the backing I have seen for Tea Party events, I believe Tea Party is in position to challenge BOTH the Democrats AND the now liberal-compromising Republilcan Party and put OUR Tea Party President in the White House! I keep seeing Ima Right’s comments and her link to the former one-term New Mexico governor, Gary Johnson. He sounds like someday he could become a viable candidate,but for now, we need a man with a proven track record of both accomplishment and the guts -the intestinal fortitude, if you prefer – to follow through and get the job done. Newt Gingrich faced much criticism and opposition, even within the party and indeed eventually resigned or was dislodged from the Speakership, but he got the job done and America was a better country for it for a number of years afterward. Never in recent history has so large a group of people identified with a political party philosophy that had not yet formally become a recognized official major party, but today, if I read statistics correctly, more people of both Democratic and Republican parties are identifying themselves as “Tea Party” and the last figure I saw was 62 percent of voters are saying they want a repeal of Obamacare and are aligning with basic Tea Party philosophy. This is why I am BEGGING ALL OF US to PLEASE unite to back a genuine Conservative who stands for smaller government, tax code revision, balanced budget, tort reform to eliminate unreasonable lawsuits and common sense in all other areas. A return to our founding fathers’ philosophy that made this country the country people around the world want to migrate to because of the opportunity our government has provided through over 200 years, but now is fast eroding. I could back Newt, Herman Cain, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum (despite his somewhat pork-barrel history), Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Paul Ryan or even Ima’s friend, former one-term New Mexico governor Gary Johnson. There should be a third choice. Like a no vote. There is no third-party choice who can pull out a win, only those who drain off votes from the two nominated candidates who can attain the office of the presidency. So not supporting the Republican nominee is exactly an effective vote for Obama. I have all along been of the mindset that ANY Republican candidate is better than Obama. I’d vote for Mickey Mouse before I’d vote for Obama with his lack of effective leadership skills and economic knowledge, not to mention his incessant class warfare, hypocrisy and blatant crony capitalism.

The party is still very loosely organized, but I believe enough of us are sincere, Common Sense Conservatives who believe in smaller government, traditional marriage, preservation of human life at all stages, Not trying to be isolationist as we live in an international world and business community.
There are two candidates who are too much like us for the Republican Party, one of whom is still trying to remain in the Republican race in the hope that Common Sense Conservatives at the convention will rebuff and refuse a Romney nomination as political suicide. The other allowed a predictable distraction to cause him to drop out of the Republican race. Since then, despite activism on his and supporters’ part, his Cain’s Revolution on the Hill was disappointing. But it must be admitted that despite a somewhat lackluster demeanor Newt Gingrich did, in fact, work somewhat of a miracle with his “Contract With America” as Speaker of the House and the country went through an era of unprecedented prosperity. Herman Cain’s business and early political success predictably brought “black man seduces white woman” allegations and as anyone who has had business success knows, anyone you have to lay off or fire because of non-productive work will surely accuse you of some wrongdoing because they were laid off or fired. Sexual harassment is a favorite accusation. (I know that apparently there was a black woman a news media contacted from Cain’s phone, but what abut Bill Clinton?)
Would we rather have four more years under Obama or four under Romney? If it comes down to the lesser of two evils, then we must choose that candidate. In this case, it is Romney. We cannot let Obama get re-elected. Imagine what he will do to our country knowing he cannot face re-election.
That is why term limits are useless. It gives a president 4 years of free rein knowing he’s not gonna be accountable.
And that is why we have Impeachment for Presidents that commit crimes in office, even down to misdemeanors. By the Constitution, they should be discharged.

Romney needs the enthusiasm that Ron Paul’s people bring. His record will draw support from the military as well as those opposed to the wars. He also draws heavily from the independents needed which are needed to win in November.

I hadn’t thought about those parts when I voted for Marco Rubio, but I believe Ron Paul might be a better choice in picking up more independent and constitutional voters (IE tea partiers like me!). I would love to run as the V.P. or even President one day. Grew up and traveled around in the military. My upbringing in the military has given me a different view on issues in life and on issues facing the nation today. A different perspective from those that have grown up outside the military life and upbringing. I am a conservative and I believe that everyone has the responsibility to protect our freedoms and way of life. Not let a liberal touchy feely attitude and perspective destroy what has made our country the great place it is today. The VP choice rarely ever helps the presidential candidate win, but a bad VP pick can certainly help him lose. Since Romney is basically the nominee already, he needs to pick someone who isn’t politically divisive and whose character and experience won’t be in doubt of that person has to take over as President.
My picks are Jon Huntsman (who knows a LOT more about foreign policy than Romney) or Gary Johnson (who actually has experience at balancing budgets).

With Santorum out I still haven’t found someone that I can or will vote for for President much less a VP. I’m starting to feel that the GOP has blown it again by getting behind someone such as Romney that not even every registered republican can vote for, much less any independents that might vote for a republican this year. I can forgive for moral failures but I can not vote for someone that is against my BASIC Christian beliefs.

Basic Christian beliefs are 1) that Jesus Christ is the only name wherein humanity can be saved. 2) that all must be baptized to be saved. 3) that all should love God and love their neighbors as themselves. Romney believes all this. Point to any other Protestant or Catholic doctrine such as the Trinity, to name one, and I’ll show you how the Pagan influence of the 1-4th centuries ACE are the root of this doctrine and not the gospel of Jesus Christ. Focus on the things you do have in common with Romney’s Christian belief (yes, he’s a different kind of Christian than you), but is still saved by Christ just like you are because he’s a believer. You’re shooting the entire conservative move toward the constitution in the foot by your archaic and misinformed stance.
So let me see if I have this correctly understood. You would rather cling to your christian beliefs and not vote for Romney than show your clarity about this nation’s destruction and cast a vote for a person who can turn it around? Romney’s beliefs may not be completely acceptable to you but what’s idea of the alternative.
Will you vote for a racist, white man hating president whose main goal is to gain a totally free reign to do what ever he wants for another four years without a concern about being re-elected? How will you feel about paying for health insurance you don’t like or want? How will you feel about paying a $2000.00 fine for not buying it? It’s unfortunate that we will have to vote for Romney. I have to wonder how Ron Paul would have faired if Newt or Santorum were not in the race. I would feel more comfortable voting if Paul was involved in some way. It’s time for something new. That’s what got Obama the job. The GOP hasn’t found anything but the same old same old.

I was feeling the same way about Santorum a few weeks ago when I saw the end of the road for him. Santorum pulled in more votes than Paul or Gingrich yet was also stymied by the same playing field.
For awhile I thought Gingrich was secretly staying in just to ensure Romney maintained first place in the Delegate count because arguably Santorum would have outright won or stayed much closer in Delegates, in more states, without Gingrich, even with Paul.
I am still trying to understand what Gingrich was thinking. My theories range from:
1) Gingrich played into Romney’s hand intentionally and has more cards to play. *** That is the Gingrich people expect
2) Gingrich let his emotions rule and was beaten because letting go of the prize was the only way he could have seen Romney defeated yet he was not psychologically able to let go. *** This I suspect is the truth
3) Gingrich conspired to defeat Santorum by splitting the conservative vote in order to guarantee Romney maintained the lead in Delegate count. This is the most vexing of the possibilities but history has shown that reality trumps fantasy times over. I could see it going this way if:
a.) Gingrich was secretly conspiring with Romney the whole time and the anger thing was a ploy to throw the media and everyone else off track (if so then it worked very well)
b.) Gingrich thought he could eliminate Santorum, then recapture the lost delegates and plod on (Phase one is complete but it all took too long that this falls apart because the conservative spirit is broken and won’t recover for this election)

Condalisa Rice. She’s not quite as Conservative as I am (I’m a right wing radical like the Founding Father’s were) but she is an expert on Russia, which is becoming more of an issue every day. She’s black (enough) and her IQ is incredibly high. She’s had experience in the White House and around the world and she’s the equal as a Stateswoman as Ronald Regan. We NEED her to balance the lack of foreign affairs experience of Romney.

Read my earlier post. If the tea-party wants to have a real impact, they need to do what Bernstein and Woodward were told to do. Follow the money. Only this time don’t follow the money, STOP the money. I’d send back every piece of campaign literature received from the RNC, the state Rep party and any local piece you may receive and write on it that you aren’t listening and until you do you don’t get a dime. Maybe they will get the point. Problem is there are too many worried bout too many side issues. We need to focus on the one issue that should be uniting us. Pass a balanced budget amendment, cut spending (INCLUDING DEFENSE SPENDING) Pass a line item veto and repeal obama care but replace it with a national health care reform that is constitutional and equitable.

Alan West is most probably the best choice to turn around the current political climate. He’s got years of sustained proven leadership, Understands and equipped to deal with foreign policy and domestic issues, family values, articulate and poised. He will bring with him many black voters who now will be able to assess by choice a sense of creditability of who is best for the future of America. A man who has stood up and faced the enemy in the Field of Battle and has made his mark in society honesty. The alternatives choices do not represent the unity required ot offset the one who has played the flute like Pied Piper and has taken the ordinary citizen into beleving change yet led them into the river for Americas demise.
I am with the Allen West for VP crowd. I just hope that even though Romney may not have been any of our first second or even third choice as President, he definitely hs one attribute that I think we can all agree is a great one. What is this question when I see Romney as little better than a white Obama? I’m just a frightened senior that want’s to see a Teddy Roosevelt running. How is it that criminals are in charge in Washington and everyone is talking election? Has no one seen that the election results are to be tabulated by a company owned by a large contributor to Obama’s campaign and this is moved to SPAIN? There is also to be no way to check the validity of the results. The name of the party he is running for is going to be renamed the DAZI party. There is no way to know how you will vote if the company tabulating the votes is owned by an Obama supporter and the tabulation is to be done in SPAIN! You may vote for brand X and the count will be for brand Q. I want to know where the election commission was when this change of the company went down. Another case of being sold out. I think the “Condoleeza Rice” suggestion for VP makes the Republican Party look like a clown and guarantees a Democratic win. In 2004 she didn’t know the alphabet.
