Senate Votes to Violate the Debt Limit Agreement

Powerline had a great blog post about the Senate’s vote to violate the debt agreement that was put in place 9 months ago during the debt ceiling debate.
Today the Senate voted 62-37 to do exactly that. This means that the consideration that Republicans obtained in exchange for increasing the debt limit is gone.

You can view how each Senator voted here. And check out the video below from Tea Party Patriots Jenny Beth Martin.

Why are Republicans surprised at this? The GOP is the party of the stupid. If you’re in the right on an issue, compromise is evil. The only reason to compromise with the Democrats is if you feel you are actually wrong on an issue.
You are right on. The GOP is not the Conservative view any more. There’s nothing to comprise here as MickeyD says!
The Republicans need to shut off all spending until the Senate passes a budget. No More Continuing Resolutions.
BTW, what was the bill’s ID number for this override. However I am going to add a comment. “Typical, typical typcial.” I remember the fight over 13 weeks last summer. It was a grind. However very proud of our efforts. It was historic. The TPP is the most active and productive. They others have to watch in envy.
We need Integrity in Congress which we do not have. Integrity is doing the right thing when nobody is watching.

This my friends should provide you a nice list of anti-TPP charlatans. These are the fiscally irresponsible Republicans. Remember Arlen Specter? Really! I mean, take a good look at the Senators! The “bakers dozen” of turncoats that have sold out our fiscal responsibility aspect and ignored their Oath of office in the process. We must hold these Senator’s feet to the fire with a riot act or they will continue their “holier than thou”, “we know what’s best for you” attitudes.
These are NOT America’s friends. On April 5, 2012, Eghan-Jones down graded our nation’s credit rating to AA-. Standard and Poors may follow suit soon. So this is twice in less than a year and never that been downgraded.
These Senators, and all but 4 Democrats voted to spend money we don’t have and will have to borrow and pay interest on.
If we are blind to party, as this group promotes itself to be, then it is very clear we face a bi-partisan problem and neither party is exercising any influence or discipline in any way over their reprehensible spending and bankrupting spree!
When you compromise the limits in the Constitution, you get unlawful government!
Democrats plan to punt until 2013 has republicans in a state of dumbness on fiscal matters!!!
Cochran & Wicker ratted out on us in Mississippi!
