Statement of the passing of conservative blogger and activist Andrew Breitbart

Today, following the passing of conservative blogger and activist Andrew Breitbart, Jenny Beth Martin of the Tea Party Patriots released the following statement:
“Andrew Breitbart was essential to the liberty movement. One of the things that our grassroots knew and appreciated was his willingness to fight for our values boldly and brashly. If more of our elected officials support our principles and core values as fearlessly as Andrew did, our country would be in a much better place today. He cared passionately about our country and it was evident in his words and deeds.
“In private, he spoke to me about the importance of his family and how much he cared for them. Today his family are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for sharing your father and husband with the rest of the country. It is a better place today because of the time your family sacrificed for us.”
“If roses grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for us. Place them in Andrew’s arms and tell him they’re from us. Tell him that we love and miss him, and when he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile….”
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

It is up to us, individually, to set America back on course through the practice of Judeo-Christian, Western Way of Life, Free Market Capitalism/Free Enterprise, and the Constitution of the United States proudly, unabashed, and unafraid without being intimidated into silence. Amen.
Thank you for that beautiful statement about the beloved “happy warrior”, Andrew Breitbart. IT’s just too hard to believe he’s gone! We must pick up his mantel and keep the march to freedom.

Yes he was and for Obama’s sake I hope he didn’t have anything to do with his death, as nothing this administration does surprises me
He will be missed….seems strange he just dropped dead…did he have heart issues?

Please replace the words “liberty movement” with the words “conservative movement.”
Today is a sad day for America. But we must let the work Andrew did for America be for
naught. We must all muster the courage and faith he showed us while he was with us.

I remember when I first heard of what Andrew Breitbart was doing to expose the radicals in the media and our government, and I thought, whew..thank GOD we have someone with such intellect and tenacity on our side out there..in the trenches–for me, for us. He was like a warm blanket that soothed my anxiety about the travesties going on in America. I will attempt to honor his name by telling my children about what he did and what he started. I pray for young, energetic leaders to rise up and follow his lead. God Bless you Andrew.
My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Breitbart’s family. He truly was an awesome man and will be sadly missed.
Breitbart is a patriot and the Tea Party should have some sort of Tea Party metal for this distinction.
Andrew was definitely a patriot of the first order! May his family and friends take comfort in our loving God and know that Andy changed this country for the better. I hope that we as a nation can take up the torch and keep his dreams for this nation alive.
I think we should make the Andrew Breitbart Award for Unrelenting Conservatism in the Media . The man was, as Rush said, a bulldog for Conservatism and a tea partier before the tea party. He purposely exposed himself to the full frontal assaults of the liberal media, claiming that he did it so that others wouldnt have to suffer the same attacks.
A much admired man has been lost. I pray others will take up the banner and continue to march forward for the cause of truth and freedom.
I think he inspired a lot of people to do investigational research much in the way Glenn Beck does… asking questions….picking everything apart to get answers….
Lets just hope that all of his sites continue to operate without him – and are able to carry on with the same fervor and focus.
In honor of AB, we should boycott all the progressive media and companies who cater to the progressives. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton do this to intimidate companies to further progressive causes. The millions of Tea Party Patriots should use these same tactics against the liberal media and turn them off and tune them out. Do not spend one red cent with the companies who advertise on them. The Tea Party should publish a list of media and companies that we should boycott. Be Bold. AB would love this. Also, we need to organize a “buycott” and spend our money with companies and watch and listen to media that are pro-American values. Do it for AB.

I love the tribute characterization at the header showing Andrew wearing a trefoil hat – it suits him admirably. The man inspired me in so many ways and I hope that our loss of him only serves to create many more just like him. We can’t take his place but that should not stop us from trying.
