Letter to House Republicans: Present a Balanced Budget
March 20, 2012 at 1:30 pm in News by Tea Party Patriots 26 Comments

Dear House Republicans,
President Obama recently proposed a new budget that never balances — not in ten years, not in twenty, not ever. But at least he proposed one, in contrast to Senate Democrats. Nonetheless, and especially in light of the unprecedented accumulation of debt by this administration, it reflects a stunning abdication of fiscal responsibility. In short, it is completely unserious.
Now you have the opportunity to produce a serious budget of your own, but it must sharply contrast with the Obama budget. It will be difficult for President Obama’s opponent to set up such a stark contrast if they have to defend a budget that is not serious.
We therefore write to suggest a compelling point of contrast: present a budget that balances in ten years or less and does not raise taxes on the American people. As members of the conservative movement, we believe that no budget that fails to meet these two standards can reasonably call itself conservative. At kitchen tables across America, families are making tough choices as they balance their own budgets. The very least Washington can do is to do the same.
You will have our strong support, along with the enthusiastic support of our millions of members, and the respect of American people at large, for doing the right thing. Please don’t settle for anything that doesn’t meet these two criteria.
Together, we look forward to working with you to restore fiscal sanity in our great country and avoiding the plight of countries like Greece that failed to rein in their deficit spending.

Have some courage and prove why you deserve to be re-hired. This country needs good sense, and the Constitution provides the guidelines.
Unless you can show some backbone, stand up for the constitution and get serious about your job, then you have no business going back to Washington following the next election!!
Stand up for what is right. That is what the American people elected you to do. We need someone that will fight for what is the right thing for our Country and for the people. If you are there to serve us we will see you in action. If you are not there for us we will not be there for you when it comes time for re-election. We are tired of all the rhetoric while it is business as usual in Washington. Do something!
I am an American gal who loves God, Country and The Constitution. This country needs to have a balanced budget so the next generation doesn’t suffer or we completely sell out our country. The Constitution is there for a reason. Use is accordingly.
God Bless America !
Reform Medicaid, Social Secuity Disability, and Social Security Aid to Dependent children. Unscrupulous doctors help many undeserving people fraudently get on these programs. Take away treatments for non-life threatening conditions from Medicaid recipients. For example: no free cell phones, no free braces for children, dental care removed, no surgeries fo obesity… No aid to dependent children using a diagnosis od ADD or ADHD, those are not seriously debilitating conditions! Reduce Congressional budget’s for Congressmen’s offices. Reduce foreign aid….
In his March 15 op-ed “Can the Secret Service Tell You To Shut Up” Andrew Napolitano reports that the 1st Amendment shredding Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011 was passed unanimously by the Senate and with but 3 dissenting votes in the House. That means, of course, that most “conservative”, Tea Party supported candidates, elected in 2010 voted for this legislation.
Thus, Jesse Schierloh’s challenge to Republicans in Congress to “….prove why you deserve to be re-hired” resonates very well. And one must wonder if there is any point in appealing to any congressional Republican for conservative action on any issue.
Please act with fiscal responsibility and the do the right thing for us all! Don’t make us come up there!
In response to post by Carla … Dental care IS preventive medicine! And a dx of ADD or ADHD … are you nuts to take those away if they are TRUE dx’s ( not dx’s meant to get the parents SSI or doc more money). Have you ever lived with someone who had those conditions? They ARE debilitating in that the children can not focus. How do you think they’d be able to manage a job without medical help? I know adults who have ADHD/ADD and without medication they would not be able to work at their jobs, etc.. What is NOT “preventive care” is CONTRACEPTIVES and ABORTIONS!
The future of our countries future is what is at stake here. I expect you to proceed as such. Do not fear the bold and seemingly unpopular decisions and ideas. There is a realistic community here that do and will support those that have the “Constitutional Fortitude” of those members of the house that will put there nose to the grindstone and do what is expected and urgent. I will accept nothing less. Your honor hinges on your backbone.
God Bless America
Fiscal responsibility is Biblical, don’t load, don’t borrow…
Fiscal resonsibility in goverenment is an oxymoron, and unfortunatly, the morons have the key to the printing presses that print greenbacks…
A parasite by definition, produces nothing and lives on the blood of the the host, in other words, you are the HOST and the government is the Parasite… and it will suck the last drop of your blood and put your body in the compost pile if you let it…
Take a look at the following utube vid of O-don’t-care plan for you, in writting with pages and paragraphs quoted… Scary

Lets fire them till they know we mean business as usual, is the voters business, not their own…
Excuse me? It’s a matter of priorities! Explain fully why we still need 750+ military bases in 45 different countries. Where’s the $80 billion going for intelligence? Why do we still need 80,000 troops in Europe, 20,000 in Japan, 30,000 in Korea, etc. etc.
The Cold War has been over for 20 years. It’s long past time to cut the military to balance the budget, and to end a lot more fluff in the budget.
“The budget should be balanced, foreign adventures should be curtailed, least we become bankrupt.” Cicero 55 BC
If we keep on the same path, we’re going to end up like Greece, Egypt, Syria, etc.
Cut spending long before raising taxes. Congress reminds me of a bunch of hungry preschoolers lose in a candy store with a credit card…
You all took and oath when you went up to Capitol Hill to represent us the People. Now show us how brave and strong you are and put that oath you swore to uphold what America stands for into action.
You all know damn well what has to be done. Here’s a couple ideas to help you accomplish that:
1. Follow the Constitution as you swore to when taking the oath of office
2. As a Guide to know what to do, ask Paul Ryan. He clearly knows.
3. Say no to the lobbyists. It’s hard but if you want a job next year, do it.
4. Remember, we are all Americans pulling in the same direction, for
pride, prosperity and national sovereignty.
And remember this. We are not the dumb hayseeds so many of you think we are. We are smart enough to know we don’t like what you are doing in D.C. And we are angry as hell about most of your atittudes to ignore us or take us lightly. We are from all partys and spectrums of political thougt but most of all we are all AMERICANS.
You dive a truck just like i do, tell me, what channel is on in 90% of the truck stops, you know it’s fox and they are the only network that went to court for the right to lie, florida case
Fact: Again a liberal tool spews hate!!!!
Mr. Baggett,
Yes, I drive a truck to pay my bills and save for retirement, but I also know this is a letter to the Congrssional Republicans intended to encourage them to vote for and push their fellow members to vote in favor of a balanced budget. The reason I know this is because I read the heading at the top of the page. That was my clue to not use this as a chat line site.
If you have any comments regarding my stand on any thing I write about, I welcome them, but put them in the proper site, PATRIOT FEED. That way you don’t encourage others to get their shorts in a knot and start a meaningless spat between air heads in a space dedicated to a LETTER TO CONGRESS.
tell ya what, let’s cut the military budget in half, we’ll still be bigger that the next 10 countries combined, and do away with social security and medicare.Oh wait, you say you don’t want your medicare and SS messed with, then that leaves the military
Fact: No it leaves Obamacare and all the entitlements surrounding the Obama waste machine!!!!
Politicians, we are watching you all. Nowadays can you be sure there is not a camera and recorder “behind those closed doors”. Tiny cameras and recorders now can go ANYWHERE,literally.
But if you are doing the best you can for the American people and Balance The Budget you can look forward to grateful voters re-electing you.
We are tired of hearing transparency and getting “snow” like an old TV set with poor reception. Show us how you are balancing the budget…
Stay on offense for sound fiscal policy. Forget about what the national press and the Democrats say. Do the right thing and “we’ve got your back”!

I would like, an amendment which would, Limit Legislators terms to 2, max 3 terms to any Legislative Branch.
I affirm & support the 27 ratified amendments, with the exception of the 16th..Congress should post legislation on the internet & respect the voice of the people..There’s much more, that I could go on about..I’ll keep in touch..
Fact: Next election day we will all see Obamavillage in the rear a view mirror !!!!
Mr. Craven,
This is a LETTER in intended for Congrssional Republicans, not part of a chat line for you to waste their time wading through. We are a diverse group in America, but I like to think we are respectful and intelligent enough to put personal comments in the correct web site.
After GSA mismanagement. I say cut 20 percent of all governement managers and half of there support staff. Do not cut teachers, law enforce, or any one working directly with the public. Cut there managers. Over my years in governement. I watch it become over weight in management. Service providor positions cut, but managers grow. I saw less equipment, but managers grew.
