Excellent! Keep shouting-the time IS now!
Jenny-Beth did a very good job, however;
we should have had a masculine rebuttal on the lines of ALLAN WEST , as he would have also brough to mind we should have a brokered convention to get the world ready for ALLAN WEST for President.
Did the main ST. Media ignore Dr James Dobson’s endorsement of Rick Santorum until after the S.C. Primary?
AND why are you still ignoring these as well as the voter fraud of Iowa’s hiding just how many votes Rick won by? Or where the district votes have been spirited off to?
There was another endorsement by the Ministers which Main Street Media establishment SPINCASTERS are refusing to show.
Then there could be some voter fraud. Because the vote tallies were Absconded with? Where did they go?
Where there is smoke; and mirrors…. something seems fishy in Iowa.
Could it be that my sour g r a p e s are not really sour after all?
It is still a wide open race; JOIN IN NOW!
As you gather your dollars to fax flags; let me submit to you another plan:
America needs to occupy the voting booths.
YES we need to train WE-THE-PEOPLE how to be poll watchers; how to recognize vote thieves. WE need to man (generic) the polls so people will not be coerced into
“Go home if you are not voting for Obama”
Remember; we are FIGHTING for our political lives, and the LIFEBLOOD OF AMERICA!
Go to they are going to send e-mail links for people toget this information out. (I wish they will hurry up.)

Good Job, Patriots.
Great message! Go Tea Party! I thrust this party and am looking forward to supporting Tea Party approved candidates! Thank God for the people of the Tea Party!
Really? This was the response? We couldn’t do any better than that?
Richard,
Remember that TPP is a grassroots organization, so please create your own SOTU response and submit it.
Why is the Tea Party not 100% behind Ron Paul? Seems he is the only candidate in line with the goals of the TP.
Jeremy,
Isn’t what you want the same type of group think that has put us here in the first place? We are individuals who want individual freedom. Wanting 100% following is not what the tea party or this country is about. The dems demand the 100% agreement in their ranks and that is why an empty suit now occupies the white house.
Matt
I guess the reason the TPP will not support a candidate or present a unified front can be seen in the above:
“Remember that TPP is a grassroots organization, so please create your own SOTU response and submit it.”
The TPP will never support one candidate nor will they make a unified detailed response to the SOTU as the grassroots will never support just one candidate nor agree on just one SOTU response.
I guess the best we can expect is:
1. To be made aware of how far a candidate falls away from our 3 main principles of free markets, fiscal responsibility & limited government &
2. To see the results of internal polling as to whom most TPP support
The tea party can’t and shouldn’t support everything that Ron Paul or anyone else claims to believe in. We don’t know for sure what Ron Paul would do in the White House, but I am not sure that he would leave us with enough military forces to defend Rhode Island
short and sweet! I like it
… and it won’t happen with Obama as POTUS and Democratic majority in the Senate. Lets start our work on both.
I thrust this party too! Seriously, does your budget not afford a spokesperson who is not as clearly nervous and awkward as whomever this woman was? The time has… ummm… passed.
I would like to think that I speak for many when I say that I do not see anything wrong Jenny Beth Martin as the spokes person that you referred to as “this woman.” Don’t get me wrong I do respect your right to your opinion but if you are going to vocally object then please let us know why you object. Give us facts and be prepared to back them up. I personally feel that she looks and feels just as the average American does and is a good choice. Would you rather a Hollywood celebrity (actor) be the spokes person? Furthermore the time has not as you put it “ummm… passed.” It is attitudes like that that allow the damage to our country to continue.
I agree Gregh.ny we can’t afford to so critical our country is in jeopardy to focus on things like how nervous the spokesperson is I rather the tea party doesn’t WASTE MONEY on an actor that doesn’t believe what they are saying.
I give the young lady kudos for at least having the guts to do what most of us would not. It’s not always easy standing in front of a crowd and being the central focus of attention. Jenny handled it like a trooper. Great job.
That’s because you value form over substance, which is something the current power structure wants. They don’t want you to listen to words and think about ideas. They want you to focus on appearances and petty distractions. The time has passed for immature and intellectually vapid assessments. Do you believe in the principles she espoused or are you in favor of a “living” Constitution, federal government expansion, continued deficit spending, and Obamacare? Time to choose.
I did not listen to the presidents speech. I have only ever listened to one. George Bush’s first after 9/11. I did listen to the republican response. I do have to say they got it right. I also have to say I like this Tea Party spot. Hold the fire to thier feet and make sure they follow through. TIME IS NOW!
It was a pleasure and honor to be in South Carolina with so many great Patriots, to get to network and plan for 2012. Thank You Tea Party Patriots, you staff, leaders and support groups for a Great Convention and Response to the State of the Union.
You know you’re not doing well when you have to open your argument with a reminder that you exist. I bet that spokesperson had no idea what a free market is, or how hard it is to define ‘free’ in the first place. Should we be free to sell whatever we like? Can I sell meth to your teens? I know there’s a big market there! Or can I dump radioactive waste into the Delaware river to save money on having it properly disposed? You seem to think the country works better when we’re constantly fighting with each other for top spot, big dog, mega-millions? We can’t work as a team without being competitive? You will be the end of the chances of a globally competitive United States of America, and we’ll all be speaking Chinese by the end of the decade. And I swear if you delete this it’s only a testament to your fear of criticism, something I fully expect will happen because of the Tea Party’s known cowardice. You’re the spoiled children of the greatest generation that ever lived and you cling to their outdated ideals like an orphaned pup suckling on the teat of it’s dead mother.
Your “examples” of issues with having a free market system are not indicative of what TPP is asking for. Of course there will be regulations designed to keep people safe. Notice how we say “Consitutionally Limited Government” as opposed to “No Government.” In short, there will be a government to protect people, but it needs to have limits to prevent from hurting the citizen. There also needs to be a significant element of personal responsibility. The #1 way government control comes in is by the people losing their ability to self govern. To use your example, the person dumping into a river. That person knows that dumping into a river is wrong, but still continues to do so. We need to A. see people like that listen to the voice of self-reason or B. see them be oppressed by way of the free market by refusing to give them your money. In fact, the government having control over the market makes matters worse because they choose where the money you pay them goes vs. you controlling it. And by the way, the person in the video was not a paid spokesperson or actress. She is Jenny Beth Martin, the Founder of Tea Party Patriots and she, unlike many politicians, has experience owning a business. She knows what the consequences of NOT having Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets are. Please let me know if you want further information on these subjects. Call me at 206.424.5190.
Define free markets–is this the new mantra of the far left? It is usually followed by insults toward folks you don’t know anything about. I’ve seen this tactic quite a bit lately.
Mike,
Your post is filled with all kinds of risible assertions. The tea party movement is doing just fine, but thanks for your concern. It seems that it’s you that doesn’t understand what a free market is. I’ll explain briefly.
A free market exists within a framework of laws and regulations, rules, if you will, that don’t allow you to lawfully dump radioactive waste into the Delaware River or sell meth to my teenager. Such things are illegal. The laws and regulations of a free market enable people to trade freely with one another, as long as they abide by the rules. Free market capitalism has raised countless millions of people out of poverty and created wealth that was unimaginable just a few hundred years ago.
It appears, Mike, that you don’t like competition. You don’t like it when people compete “with each other for [the] top spot….” There’s not much to say about your comment other than to say, “Welcome to reality.” You go on to plaintively ask, “We can’t work as a team without being competitive?” Well. Welcome to human nature, Mike. If the reality of human nature doesn’t meet with your utopian vision, I suggest you adjust your utopian vision because human nature is not going to change anytime soon.
Apparently you believe that a “globally competitive United States of America” depends upon the US becoming a European-style socialist state, a fundamentally transformed US toward which Obama is trying to lead the US. Perhaps you haven’t noticed that socialism has failed everywhere it’s been tried. Socialist governments purposefully caused the deaths of an estimated 170 million people – not including wars – during the 20th century. The socialist governments killed the people who didn’t join the statist team.
A US that abandons its founding principles, abandons individual liberty for group (team) identity politics, exchanges a free market for a government-controlled market, creates unsustainable debts and irresponsible, punitive regulations, and trades a constitutionally confined federal government for an all-powerful federal government will be the one whose citizens end up “speaking Chinese” by the end of a few decades.
And to your final, churlish accusation that the tea party is composed of “the spoiled children of the greatest generation that ever lived… [clinging] to… outdated ideals…” I’ll believe you, presumably to one of our ultra-spoiled grandsons, with the words of Calvin Coolidge (he was a former president, Mike) -
If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction can not lay claim to progress. They are reactionary. Their ideas are not more modern, but more ancient, than those of the Revolutionary fathers. – Calvin Coolidge
“A free market exists within a framework of laws and regulations, rules, if you will, that…………”
Like any Corporation, Public or Privately held like McWane, e.g., follows these regulations. Not when the Profit Motive is that matters. I could give you more examples if you like but I am sure you know them?
“Free market capitalism has raised countless millions of people out of poverty and created wealth that………….”
Not really. It is the advancement of Science that has helped humanity. The Free Market just happened to be the mechanism at the time. It also created much instability in society because of the many aberrations with the philosophy. The Free Market at this point in time is just an interference to much quicker scientific advancements. I could give you examples?
“It appears, Mike, that you don’t like competition………………………………………”
Competition is a learned behavior when scarcity of life sustaining resources are non existent. Nature verses Nurture paradigm. Check Wilkinson’s “The Spirit Level” and Kohn’s “No Contest-The Case Against Competition”.
“Socialist governments purposefully caused the deaths of an estimated 170 million people – not including wars – during the 20th century…………………..”
So have Capitalistic Societies. Reference “War is a Racket” by General Smedley Butler, and Perkins “Confessions of an Economic Hitman” e.g. , plus genocide done to people of East Timor. Of course, you only hear of Pol Pot in the U.S. I could give you more examples? You only give one side of the primary Elitist systems that have had majority rule in the world for the last century.
“A US that abandons its founding principles, abandons individual liberty for group (team) identity politics, exchanges a free market for a government-controlled market, creates………………..”
This is comedy and typical Free Market rhetoric. The Free Market failed in the U.S. In 1929. Reference McElvaine’s “The Great Depression”. If it wasn’t for the state, which I am no fan of the state, the so called Free Market would have failed many times over. The state is just another competitor in the Free Market system. Monopolistic Capitalism is just a natural gravitation of the Free Market system. Do you remember Standard Oil? Yes the Free Market will regulate itself like the Enron scandal, the 2008 crash, BP Gulf Oil Spill, even the apple juice crisis that was recently on the Dr. Az show. Perhaps Dr. Az is a Socialist, Communist, Apologist, or some other label your kind usually uses in an effort to discredit people that do not agree with your philosophy.
“If all men are created equal, that is final…………………………………”
The U.S. has had a little problem with this one along with Free Market philosophy. Just ask some African-Americans about their slave ancestors. Exploitation of Third World labor and resources.
“No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people………………………..”
There really is no rule of the people when all they do is fight amongst themselves plus the special interest that rules the power structure. Money rules. You are only as free as your pocketbook allows. It is a system of coercion and exploitation. History proves the aforementioned statement to be true. Matewan, The Triangle Waist Shirt Factory, e.g., and the continued exploitation of humans for some other humans’ monetary gain proves this is not a system for the good of humanity. I have said in a previous post on this site, “The Free Market is at the apex of Social Darwinism similar to National Socialism”. I hope you are not a proclaimed Christian like some that advocate Adam Smith philosophy? Libertarianism is not attainable because it will interfere with the freedom of other people. I can give examples?
We are preceding backwards. Technology advances and the old monetary system is becoming more absolute. Technological outsourcing will continue because of the profit motive. If you or other believers in your Free Market congregation think the jobs are coming back than you will be in for a big surprise! Look how much human labor has been replaced in the last century or the last decade. IBM’s Watson shows the next phase of automated systems and the impact on the job market will be tremendous. Nano technology is another that will replace labor. Who knows maybe Huxley’s “Brave New World” or Well’s “1984” will result in full scale. 1984′s media propaganda machine is here in the so called Free World .
Science has and can continue to help us if we get a more up to date system to go along with it and am not referring to any Elitist system. Things are not black and white. We live in a world with more complexity than humanity ever realized over 200 years ago. One thing is for sure, if we do not adapt than many or all will die.
I leave you with this piece of what your kind would call Socialism. A quote from Jonas Salk when asked “Who owns this patent?” which was on Polio. To which he replied “No One. Could you patent the sun?”
Awesome, the time is NOW! The Tea Party has been a little quiet up to now, I think a lot of it is due to not having a candidate the fits what we as Americans want. Why is this? If you watched Mitch Daniels response tonight it was awesome. I want someone like that for President!
The “LIAR” has Spoken
Well if you listened to the “State of the Union” speech by Obama tonight, you know “The LIAR has Spoken”. He went on and on about us being “FREE” while the entire last 4 years he has done nothing but figure out how to take away our freedoms, ones that I as a VET fought for us to keep.
If you in anyway think you are free, try to pray in public, in court, in school, at a baseball, basketball or football game. Especially try to pray aloud for all to hear.
If you think you are free, try to get an “Innocent until proven guilty” status/verdict in any court. The only place you might find that right reserved, would be if you are actually a criminal and deliberately violated the law. We have definitely stripped that right in cases of child abuse/sexual misconduct, things covered by the Patriot act, freedom to assemble, demonstrate, emanate domain, address grievances against the government and now the right of “self determination”.
Go read the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the documents of the Founding Fathers and understand, how they saw our freedoms, and see if you think you still have those.
If you are “a property owner” go read your “title deed”, which legally is a “rental contract” not ownership, and compare that with wording in the original land contract documents that declared you “sovereign” and that your rights of ownership were guaranteed against “all comers” which included even the government itself. They could not even tax you, then without your consent. That meant taxing and services had to be individually negotiated with each and every property owner, which we consider tedious.
But that is how we have regarded our freedoms, tedious, so not wanting to be bothered we have lost them.
I pray desperately for this land I love, but it is too late, God has already declared judgment on America, and He does not turn back or repent without a complete repentance by our entire nation. To stay His declared judgment would require that complete repentance accompanied by a national entreaty for mercy, lead by the leaders of our nation. I do not see that forthcoming and our course to destruction is already set by HIS ALMIGHTY HAND.
I am the technology’s leading trend forecaster and have been since 1974. This year in the “Forecasts” section of my tech blog, with heavy heart, I have to announce that the USA has lost it’s world leadership in technology. That title is past to Israel this year. That both shakes me and rejoices me as a patriot and man of faith.
Loved being at the conference in SC! We are supposed to have another one this year, right? BTW…..When’s the funny version coming out?
The time is now for the tea party to stop talking out of their _ _ _ ! U want to cut taxes, except on the wealthy. U want spending cuts for any program U don’t believe in, but not vice versa. U want a budget yet your party was the biggest holdout to an agreement. U just want it all for U and nothing for America. The tea party is boiling away hurray!
Mitch Daniels is the man who says it now, says it right, and has all the qualifications to become our next leader. Listen to Mitch Daniels response to The State Of the Union Speech.
Right on! M. Daniels is the man!
Jenny Beth, Mark, Kevin, Shelly, Keli and all Coordinators of Tea Party Patriots Organization:
YOU GUYS ROCK — you continue to amaze us with your dedication and energy.
Your latest VIDEO “WE CAN’T WAIT” is an awesome message. Very effective and very powerful.
Thank you for standing up to corruptible Washington that must change its ways. I have never been more proud to call myself a member of the Tea Party movement. I AM THE TEA PARTY!
God Bless Each and Every One of You!
Kathy Hassan – Trout Creek, Montana
I agree, the Tea Party members, individually & in groups, are great! The rest of us need to do what our spokeswoman and others have been doing right now before the primary, then before the election. Our spokespeople are not expected to be “Hollywood” polished, because they are speaking for us, “We the People…” God Bless America! Let’s also send millions of prayers for our country daily to our Creator & Savior.
Now I see how ignorance looks like. Tea party and “the time is now” My question would be, who is paying for all the ads and campain you guys are doing?
Randy, what an ignorant statement. And who do you think pays for it? Tea Part Patriots pay for it. Get a clue.
Please put a candidate on the nov. ballot for the tea party, preferaly Sarah Palin. I would hate to have to vote for the lesser of two evils. Time for a new party in this country. My family has been democrates since the beginning but what they have become makes me sick. No I am not prejudiced in my family we have Afro-Americans and mix of white, native americans, mexicans and middles easterns. All of my grandchilldren are of mixed races. We can’t seem to trust the republcans to keep their word once they get in office. I want to join the chant…..RUN SARAH RUN……………………………PLEASE OTHER WISE I PRAY FOR THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE I BELIEVE WITH ALL MY HEART WE ARE IN FOR A GREAT FALL LIKE HUMPTY DUMPTY
Something that needs to be discussed is that COMPETITION is why the America economy has been great. The choice of different products, schools, cars, etc. COMPETITION keeps quality up and prices lower. Having government running products like car companies, public schools allows quality to decline and prices to raise. This is one reason other government run countries have trouble competing with the U.S. on products.
Please stop that jerk occupying White House!
Please become very visible during the campaign!
obama WORST PRESIDENT IN OUT HISTORY
Thank you for staying focused and making elected representatives accountable to the ones that sent them there. Our nation can’t stand another four years of Obama nation!
We are still here, Mr. President.
the time can not come soon enough……..
yes the time is now to impeach obummer and put in someone that obeys the constitution that they swore to uphold.

Follow this link and see the real creators of staples. No mention of Romney anywhere.
I believe he may have been one of the later investors that loaned it money for expansion but, he did not have anything to do with the long roads building process..
Nice work! Go Tea Party Patriots!!!
Great to hear the Tea Party is active and energized and continuing the message and supporting conservative candidates.
Nice response but can’t we get someone who doesn’t have a lisp to get our message out there? The main reason middle of the road voters don’t like Palin is because she sounds like she’s from the back woods… not because she isn’t smart! We are trying to wake up people who are judgmental and selfish so don’t give them any reason not to listen to our mission!
God Bless
The president is a GREAT orator and a terrble leader
This video is TERRIFIC!
Keep them coming – I think they are important!
The time is NOW!
You’re absolutely right…sort of….the TIME IS YESTERDAY!! These things cannot happen soon enough! CUT, CAP, BALANCE and live by the Constitution of the United States. It isn’t just a piece of parchment that is out there to annoy liberals….
THERE ARE MANY THINGS IN THE OBAMA HEALTH CARE THAT BOTHER ME. BUT ONE STANDS OUT MORE THEN OTHERS. ABORTION IS ONE THAT I AM PAYING FOR WHEN SOME MAN HAS THE PLEASURE OF MAKING THE WOMAN PREGNANT AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR HIS PLEASURE. IF HE HAD THE ENJOYMENT OF THIS ACT THEN HE SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS ACTIONS AND PAY THE BILLS. PLUS HE IS GETTING OUT OF THE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF PAYING FOR THE UP BRINGING OF THIS CHILD,MOST LIKELY OUT OF WEDLOCK. MAKE HIM PAY HIS BILLS.
Michael,
I agree with you, but I would add that the woman was a full and willing participant in a mutually pleasurable activity. Therefore, it is not only the man that bears financial and parental responsibility for the child – the woman also bears financial and parental responsibility. In short, the woman is not a victim.
I am constantly amazed at the ignorance of my friends when it comes to economics, the Constitution’s unique experiment in the history of the world, and what has been done to corrupt that experiment by this government and its bureaucracy. Tea Party Patriots’ focus on upholding the Constitution makes me hopeful that Obama’s legacy will disappear as fast as Jimmy Carter’s. Their concern on “outcomes” and fairness are misplaced. Fairness has always meant that one gets what one deserves depending on his behavior, not on what % of the wealth curve one occupies.
1/25/2011
I still want to Recall Sen. Mary Landrieu – Louisiana starting now before the election.
I believe that THE TEA Party is absolutely correct. It is just past time to stop the lies from the President. The American People just want the truth. Also, simply a person and party to work with and correct what all parties are guilty of – Self Interest – not helping the people’s interest who put the elected officials in office.
Absolutely! Let this message be heard in the halls of Congress and the White House! My fellow Patriots, we can not just wait until November – we must take action now!
EXCELLENT work, Tea Party Patriots! I am one also & support Patriots wherever I can find them. Let us fight the good fight!
Eternal vigilance!
Excellent response by Jenny Beth!
While the media portrays the Tea Party as insignificant, the Tea Party movement has become a stealth movement at our local levels. We are stronger, we are wiser and we are making a huge impact locally. We don’t need the media attention to do our work on the ground! We are dedicated and persistent with positive direction.
While the media portrays Occupiers as a people oriented movement it has become painfully obvious these are simply homeless people. Rendered homeless by the Obama administration. Look at them closely because this is exactly what this administration intends us all to become. If not for the Tea Party information would be stifled and manipulated. Tea Party People ROCK! God Bless America!
Nothing new from the President…
Thank you Tea Party. Trusting you to keep us informed with candidates attributes.Go Tea Party!
Very well done! The Tea Party will continue to get my full support.
Great response. We need to keep the pressure on our reps and senators and on the pres candidates. We ARE the electorate, and we WILL be heard!
I truly wish the Tea Party would take control of the Republican party, like the way the perverts, socialists, welfare deadbeats, black racists and other America haters did the Democrap party.
We’re still 100% with the Tea Party – It’s been about common sense and the “original” American way since the beginning. No debating this, America is in poor financial shape. This administration is making it worse and must go.
Great message! Below is how I responded to the State of the Union speech last night on yahoo news.
State of the Union?……All political campaign rhetoric! This country won’t get back on track until we elect a President who adhere’s strictly to the Constitution and eliminates this massive debt created in the past 3 years. We also need to revamp the Senate with Tea Party members who actually care about taxpayers rights, eliminate lobbying & ‘Pork Barrel’ projects, create a budget, uphold the Constitution, fix Social Security and make Congress pay into it and pass the 30 job creation bills residing in the Senate. November 2012 is the time to get rid of ALL of the “Deadwood” in Washington. Eliminating ALL of the 600,000 plus government jobs that this administration created and the IRS would be a great start.
Jerry Bogus – Tea Party member – Oxford, MI
The Tea Party is our last hope. He must be stopped.!
Obama is asking for more centralized controled power on the exectutive level, making the constitution and congress irrevilent.
Swell the ranks. Get the message out. Let’s take our country back.
mitt romney and newt gingrid are corrupt they are bad for this country ron paul is the best canidate if you want your freedom and liberty back vote for ron paul our next president of the united states of america let’s stick together on this 1 god bless america
Why does President Obama (and others, for that matter) keep referring to the “middle class?” In a Democratic Republic (and that is what the United States is) there are no “Upper” “Middle” or Lower” classes. We live in a classless society. I know Obama believes he is “Upper Class.” But he isn’t. He may be “upper income” but he is not “upper classs” as much as he would like to consider himself as one of the “elite” of the population. We are all created equal. God created us so. We should try to afford equal opportunity to everyone, but we cannot guarantee equal position, economic or otherwise. That comes through personal effort and, sometimes, luck. That’s life.
A very effective response.
State of Union NYET!
Great video. Wouldn’t hurt to add “bring american manufacturing back home so we can have jobs”….
The man believes his own lies. He is now trying to change everything back, so he van be elected. Obama is an arrogent black man. No one has the guts to tell him the truth, that he is a fool. His next job should be as a court jester.
The man is a fool. He believes he knows more than the Democratic party, the congress, and the supreme court. I look forward to his becoming a “comunity organizer again. Get this fool out of our lives.
Another Obama term will damage the U.S.A. permanently. The Tea Party is right. “THE TIME IS NOW”.
We need to elect candidates that believe in and follow the Constitution!
Right on! This message clearly shows that we (Tea Party Patriots) are watching our government officials and will hold them accountable. Thanks for being our united voice at this critical juncture in American history. God bless you!
Really good!!! You spoke for me here!!!!
Right on! The Time Is NOW! It is time to restore the first principles of our Constitution, the Constitution that was entrusted to us by our founding fathers. It was passed to us to safeguard and we must protect and defend it so that we may pass it on to our children and grandchildren.
This Prez. wants to take more power – become dictator in chief to add to his campaigner in chief – adding more czars, more travesty bills, to destroy our nation! The media says tea party folks are declining. They don’t get it. It is a state of mind – and our state of mind is sick of the state of the union brought on by the Democrats total control of congress, and this administration’s blatant ignorance of the nation, the nat. security, the constitution, and the energy and econ independence we need to stay healthy – Fire the bunch of liberals now ruining the country. Fire the Dem Senators and keep the house – Time to turn this nightmare around!
THE TIME IS NOW! we must not wait. Keep up the great work TPP and we will win!
We must Work while we still have the time and ability to do so.
“FREEDOM And LIBERTY – USE Them Or LOSE Them”
Good message and keep up the good work! It worries me though that the involvement and growth of the Tea Party has declined since Beck’s leaving FOX. I wish we had a “liked, well known, and respected” figure to take his place as being the spokesperson for the Tea Party.
I would suggest someone like Kelsey Grammer or John Voit. There are plenty others out there and we need a great speaker to send the message!
Excellent response. Count on my continued support and ……..Thank You!
As we are already a declared “terrorist group” by the Obama administration, “WE THE PEOPLE” had better be willing to stake our lives fighting this criminal administration.
While the DNC/Soros sponsored OWW were allowed to pollute our cities and culture, the “Tea Party” will never be given the right by this administration, to peacefully and vocally reject this administration or their effort to destroy this country.
Only in numbers, twice to four times the numbers we had in the public before the last election, is our only long term hope.
Obama can’t wait until October and he he knows it. His plan to silence us was just announced. http://www.kfiam640.com/pages/NEWS.html?article=9653697
and they call us “extremists”…… right!
I’m proud of being a member of the Tea Party and the movement. I continue to spread the word of what’s wrong with Obama’s policies, his abuse of position and power and his vision of OUR nation. OUR Nation, Our Rights are being protected by The Tea Party and its vigilance focused on Obama’s failed policies.
We the People have our rights granted to us through the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. This is the correct way to have a Revolution., through knowledge.
“Don’t Tread on Me” “Don’t Tread on Us”
thing about the tea party i don’t understand, you have not pick one person to run for prez.
for as many members you have ,you have almost that many candidates for prez.
We should boycot all mainstream media,as they seem to report only what’s best for their profits and beliefs. They tell us who to vote for, what to buy and have only their opinions of how to make our country great again. If we boycot like gas prices in the past, maybe we can change the one sided view they broadcast!! I say we have had enough CHANGE,now it’s time for American’s to shout– THE TIME IS NOW!!
What truly was amazing was the time before the speech. I was shocked that “The Anointed One” didn’t simply walk across the surface of Reflecting Pool to the Capitol, accompanied by a choir of angels. This is s true sign he has lost his touch.
We need the Tea Party to start registering voters. The GOP has lost it’s way. They need to go the way of the Wigs party. How can we all help make this happen?
Very funny! Is this a satire of the tea party? Extremely clever
I came away from the SoU broadcast feeling like Mr. Obama wasn’t even speaking to me or any of my friends and neighbors…like he was speaking only to those who support him and/or voted for him.
He did not speak to any of the basic concerns, nor did he mention any of the very basic fixes.
Ditto what others have said—the Tea Party is alive and well, and we all need to keep the pressure on if we are gonna’ truly watch his moving van leave our Nation’s capital!
Thank you to the Tea Party for it s efforts to bring us back to constitutiuonal government. We have ignored our constitution for too long. The Republican Party seems to have no interest in constitutional government. We, as the Tea Party, must bring them back!
Its Good. I like it. We need to shift our tax arguement from (HIGHER LOWER) to (REVENU REFORM) FAIR AND FLAT TAX. I am expecting this shift.
IF the TEA PARTY support any instance of this IRS, I am going to have to cut out.
Greate work..
Alexander. Please look at the tax issue again. That UN-fair tax is very WRONG for America as it creates a National Sales Tax. That creates a NEW huge federal bureaucracy that will track every single business transaction..
.
That National Sales tax is justified by people who say 1/2 of Americans don’t pay taxes. Well, that statement is NOT TRUE. 1/2 of Americans may not pay Federal Income Tax, but they surely pay all the State taxes, sales, property, gas, fees, etc.. And, those state level taxes are WAY MORE than federal income tax.
.
FLAT TAX is also wrong. Pick a percentage.. say 10% for discussion purposes. If you make $40K/year, 10% = $4,000 and that is a HUGE hunk out of the pocket of someone on the POVERTY level. That’s just not RIGHT. To take food off the table of the poor is really bad form.
.
So.. that takes us back to the only really FAIR tax is a graduated income tax where the more you make the higher the % you pay. BUT… we can retain the income tax’s fairness AND eliminate the IRS… the WHOLE IRS processing system can go.. easily.
.
How we get rid of the IRS, yet retain the income tax funding of essential federal programs, is shift all the tax administrative processing to the states. With the exception of Wyoming, every state already has some form of income tax.
.
The IRS is a completely redundant administrative bureaucracy. All we’d have to do is have the STATES add collection of the appropriate percentage of income for the feds to their existing processes.. Then just fold the IRS..
.
States can determine what deductions are appropriate for THEIR people, and protect their people from federal government encroachment.
.
States can also RETAIN their their portion of federal money. How dumb is it to send our money to DC then beg for it back in ear-marks and grants with strings attached that are aimed at social engineering and economic manipulation.
.
So, my friend. The solution to our tax problem is NOT creating a new tax (the UN-fair tax), nor is it changing to a flat tax that punishes the poor and favors the wealthy. The solution is the elimination of the redundant IRS and inclusion of federal income tax processing on the existing State income tax forms.
.
By altering the taxation systems in this manner, the power of tax collection processes is returned completely to the states which puts control back in the hands of the people of those states.
Nora,
I am sorry you are so misinformed on the Fair Tax. I think it is a fantastic idea. Here’s why.
.
1) It does not create a huge new federal bureaucracy. It is a sales tax, but that is collected at the retail level in much the same way state sales taxes are collected now. States do not “track ever single business transaction”. Merchants collect the money and pass it on to the government. They do not submit a huge pile of receipts to go with it.
.
The Fair Tax, as written, requires the repeal of the 16 Amendment, which authorizes the income tax, before it can go into effect. So you can’t have the Fair Tax and the income tax at the same time. If passed, the IRS will be no more. If you are concerned about the growth of bureaucracy that should come as a breath of fresh air. What’s more, the Fair Tax replaces every other form of federal government taxation. No more anything tax from the feds: no gas tax, no telephone tax, no payroll tax, no oil and natural gas production tax, no self employment tax, timber yield tax, no gift tax, no coal severance tax, no corporate income tax, no capital gains tax, no estate tax, etc. etc. etc.
.
2) It is a fact that most Americans do not pay income taxes. Every American pays federal taxes in a thousand different ways (see the above list). That is what is so great about the Fair Tax. Business do not pay taxes now, nor ever will. Business taxes are included in the cost of everything you buy at the retail level. If they weren’t, all business everywhere would lose money until they went bankrupt. The Fair Tax eliminates all of the little nooks and dusty corners where unaccounted for taxes can hide.
.
Have you bought toilet paper lately? How much did you pay in corporate taxes on that toilet paper? How much gas tax? Timber yield tax? You see, all of those taxes are included in the final price of that product. You don’t know how much you paid, but pay you did and the government made off with the loot. The collection of all those taxes and compliance with all of that tax law costs businesses $500 billion a year.
.
I will withhold comment on the “Fairness” of the graduated income tax. I will say that manipulation of the tax code is one principal corrupting influences in Washington. What is it that most lobbyists are lobbying for? Tax breaks for their special interests or tax increases for industries they want shot down. They use the police power of government to pick winners and losers in the marketplace. Think big business hates big government? Think again.
.
3) The wonderfully “progressive” thing about the Fair Tax is that it collects revenue when it is spent not when it is earned. What good is being ultra-rich if you don’t live it up? Under the Fair Tax, when you spend big to keep up your luxurious lifestyle, you’ll be getting taxed on it.
.
Your ideas on decentralizing the income tax are interesting, but they are not as transformational as the Fair Tax. It would be a new birth of freedom and is by far the best tax proposal I have ever heard. Please look into it more closely. It is easy to demagogue.
.
My bumper sticker slogan for the Fair Tax, “If you don’t like it, you don’t understand it.”
Why would a graduated tax where the more you earn the higher tax rate you pay be fair? So, the more successful someone is, the more they owe the government? The more productive someone is, the more we need to penalize that person? This is backward thinking compared to the founders focus on the freedom to pursue our own interests. This actually sounds a lot like “from each according to his ability…”
And it works against economic growth because we are taxing success and the creation of value, which is what firms and people are compensated for. Anything we tax, we will get less of. We want to create value in the country so we need to put the fewest penalties on that as possible.
A sales tax is based on consumption not producing income. If rich people consume more (which they generally do), then they will pay more tax in absolute dollars. And the states can process that as well since even more states (if not all) already have the apparatus in place to handle state sales tax. There are several other states with no income tax besides the one you mentioned (Texas & Florida come to mind).
Nora, love your idea about letting the states do the federal tax collection and eliminate the IRS. If a state wants a progressive tax, another a flat tax and another the fairtax, let them experiment. Wont be long before people see what works best for them and they will move to the states with the best solution. Who knows, maybe one state wont collect ANY federal income tax. oops, sorry, that’s the fairtax.
Nora Craig:
Un-fair? What does fairness have to do with it? Nothing.
You are speaking socialist dogma and hiding under the “fairness” label. At best you are an unwitting RINO (or an in label only conservative) on this topic.
A progressive tax signals people NOT to work too hard for it will not be rewarded – you lose money to the Gov. Your approach is socialist and merely disguises the progressives. Those who make less than $XY,000K (pick any number) better know it takes education (skills training or book learning), work, and EFFORT to succeed.
A flat tax is THE answer in eliminating the IRS, political influence, unwieldy legislation, and encouraging people to do better (on their own or with help from communities, friends, and family). The answer is not taking taxes from any taxpayer to support “fairness”. By the way a 0% flat tax is the ultimate answer.
No changes in the Federal tax system will work unless we as individuals, political units, and as a country live within our means.
America was not founded on “fairness” – it was founded on and grew to be great based on equality of opportunity and justice.
I like your idea. I hope you can keep going…….
Nora,
I think you are incorrect in your assessment of the Fairtax and the Flat tax systems, however I think you may have stumbled on a great third alternative to our current system. This is the first time I’ve heard the idea of giving the power back to the individual states, and I really like the idea. Has anyone done any studies or research to back up this approach? I know the background of the Fairtax, but I would love to read some more about your idea.
Shane
Nora, Your idea of having state-run IRS’s and eliminating the US IRS is interesting. But then where would the US get money to defend the country, wage wars, enforce immigration, etc. etc?
The “fair” current graduated tax is only “fair” to the crony-capitalist and greatly detrimental to our economy. The FAIRTAX is progressive and adds favor to our exports. It is not a National Sales Tax. It also eliminates all payroll taxes on the working poor.
The FLAT TAX is also wrong because it can be un-flatten in a heart-beat. Congress & corruption will still be in the game until the 16th Amendment is repealed and a tax for all to gain wealth is implemented.
To have 50 states work with the Congress to establish the laws, rules, and additional “administrative process” sound nice but can anyone imagine this happening. Wyoming is not the only state without an income tax.
The states are all set up to collect and manage any tax on NEW goods as under the FAIRTAX.
.
Let us let the States “determine what deductions are appropriate for THEIR people, and protect their people from federal government encroachment.” The end result will be zero Federal tax revenue when each state decides to tax more and keep the money for the state.
.
So, my friend. The solution to our tax problem is (delete NOT) creating a new tax (delete-UN) fair tax., The solution is NOTchanging to a flat tax that punishes the poor and favors the wealthy. The solution is (delete-elimination of the redundant) use the IRS to ensure taxes are collected and remitted.
This is the best solution to big government taxation I have seen yet. I hope the Tea Party gets on the band wagon for this.
Nora,
You’re sample “argument” ignores the prebate portion of the FairTax that removes all federal taxation from those living at or near the poverty level.
Have you read the actual legislation?
David
This is a great opinion piece. It solves so many problems including a transition from the IRS, which would be problematic. It makes sense for Government to use tax as both a carrot and a stick for those directions that would have the greatest benefit. The emphasis of when and what to tax also changes in the life of a person and a corporation. The States are in a much better position to monitor and make changes where necessary. This also brings money matters much closer to home where citizens have a much better opportunity of contesting legislation.
Nora, while I agree with you that the Fair Tax is not a very good idea, I think there is merit in examining the idea of a Flat Tax. The best component of the Flat Tax is to take away all deductions, credits, and incentives thereby taking away the government’s power to control us. It also takes away their power to use our tax system as their personal slush fund.
I’m sure you’re well aware of this, and the Republicans do this as well, but Solyndra and the Green movement are a good example. The wealthy “environmentalists” contribute to politicians who in turn give credits to people who comply with their will and buy energy efficient products “approved” by the government. In turn, those “environmentalists” profit and the people who don’t comply have to make up the difference in revenue.
You’re idea of having the states collect Federal Revenues is not bad, however, a flat tax would so simply the tax structure that it ends the need for a huge bureaucracy. It would also take away the power of the Left muddying the waters with talk of effective tax rates, fairness, and who pays how much.
The numbers would have to be crunched on the actual rate, but I don’t believe that 10% is that far off on what someone earning $40,0000 is already paying or should be paying. I’m in the just under $75K range, and even with my allowed deductions paid a rate of just under 12.25%. I wouldn’t like it but may not even have a problem if, under a Flat Tax system, I ended up paying a little more. As long as I knew that everyone was contributing, the government was using the money for their Constitutional duties only, and we paid down the National Debt.
A graduated scale is something that could be discussed, although I can just hear my mentor Mark Levin screeching at that proposal. Someone earning less than say $20,000 would not pay any Federal Income Tax, but would also not receive a “refund” on taxes they didn’t pay.
Any thoughts?
Nora,
You are so, so wrong about the FairTax!!! You are completely uninformed and are surmising conclusions from invalid assumptions. Do some basic research before you step out in such a big way!!
You are also way wrong about having the states collect income taxes. In order to collect taxes based on income, the states all use numbers and definitions based on IRS forms. If you got rid of the IRS, you would get rid of the states’ abilities to collect taxes based on income (getting rid of both federal and state income taxes would be a good thing!)
There are so many errors in your statements, I’m not sure where to begin….I’ll try to explain and clarify..
Yes, the FairTax creates a national sales tax. At the same time, it eliminates: federal income tax, employment taxes (FICA, Medicare), gift taxes, estate taxes (a.k.a. death taxes), corporate income taxes and more. In the end, it virtually eliminates the IRS.
The FairTax is a federal tax, but it will be administered by the states and the revenues collected by the states will be passed to the federal government. It DOES NOT create a huge federal beauracracy. In fact, it gets rid of one — the IRS!!
The federal government WILL NOT monitor every transaction. If anyone is monitoring every single transaction (which is not likely), it will be the states who already have effective sales tax enforcement agencies. The states will enforce and collect the tax (like they already do for state taxes). The federal government will simply collect the state revenue departments.
Regarding state taxes and the FairTax … the FairTax has NO REGULATIONS regarding state taxes. It won’t lower or raise state revenues at all. For the states with no income taxes (e.g., Texas, Tennessee, Florida and others), the implementation of the FairTax will have very little impact. All they will have to do is collect an additional federal sales tax at the same time they are collecting their existing state sales taxes and then pass the federal FairTax collections to the federal government.
For the states which currently collect income taxes, there may be significant change, but whethere there are any changes and what those changes will be are determined by each state. Most (all?) of the states which collect income tax base the amounts on their forms on the federal IRS forms (with some tweaks). Since the federal forms (and the IRS) will disappear under the FairTax, the states with income taxes will have to make a choice about how to collect their taxes going forward. Most (all?) of the states which have income taxes also have state sales taxes. The authors of the FairTax bill believe that most of the states will eliminate their income taxes and (necessarily) raise their sales tax rates to replace that lost state revenue. But the FairTax bill has nothing to say about what the states should do or what their state sales tax rates should be. It is left up to the states (as it should be).
There are two key differences between the federal FairTax and most state sales taxes. First, many states choose to reduce or eliminate sales taxes on selected foods considered to be “food staples” for the poor, such as bread and milk. Second, most state sales taxes do not collect sales taxes on services whereas the FairTax does tax services. I will tackle “food staples” now and handle services later.
The main reason for the exemptions or reductions in rates in state sales taxes for “food staples” is becasuse the states recognize that sales taxes on these goods disproportianately affect the poor (as a percentage of income). The problem with these type of exemptions is that someone has to decide what is food items (and other types of products) are worthy of an “exemption”. One key area of lobbying (and influence peddling) in the state legislatures is around determining what is a “staple” and what is not. This process keeps the lobbyists in the back pockets of the state legislators.
When the FairTax was conceived, one of the key goals was to significantly reduce the influence of lobbyists by eliminating lobbying around taxes (in whatever form). So the authors of the FairTax took another approach to handling how to make the new FairTax “progressive” (e.g., reducing the impact on the poor and thus increasing the impact on the rich). It’s called the prebate. Here’s how it works: Today, prior to the FairTax, the federal government determines/defines the “poverty” level based on family sizes. The FairTax includes a “prebate” paid to the head of every household based on the family size. Let’s say the FairTax is set at 23% (inclusive) and the federal poverty level for a family of four is $20,000. (I don’t remember the exact numbers). The annual prebate amount for that family of four would be $20,000 x 0.23 = $4,600. This would be divided into twelve monthly payments, which in our example would be a prebate amount of a little less than $400.00 per month. (It’s call the prebate because is it paid out the first month the FairTax is implemented and at the first of the month, before the family actually purchases anything). This means that family of four would effectively not pay any federal FairTax sales taxes on the first 20,000 in living expenses. This means that the FairTax COMPLETELY UNTAXES THE POOR!! (At least from the perspective of federal taxes). By not worrying about what should be taxed and what should not be taxed, the prebate not only helps the poor, but it also eliminates a very large chunk of lobbyists and lobbying at the federal level.
States will have the option under the FairTax to eliminate their exemptions and reductions on “food staples” and possibly institute their own prebates, but the FairTax does not require them to do so. They would be smart, though, to do so for the same reasons that the prebate exists in the FairTax.
While I am on the topic of “fair” treatment for the poor, we should discuss the payroll taxes. The FICA and Medicare taxes are the most REgressive taxes in America — they hit the poor the most. The FairTax completely eliminates them. Again, the poor are COMPLETELY UNTAXED under the FairTax.
As I mentioned earlier, there is another difference between the FairTax and most state sales taxes. States generally do not tax services. I can’t explain the historical reasons for the exemptions on services. (Maybe someone can enlighten us all about this.) In any case, the FairTax does tax services. This is because the FairTax is eliminating the income tax, which taxes income from services. The FairTax, then, must also tax services in order to replace the income tax. But there is another reason for taxing services. One major goal of the FairTax is to make sure everyone is paying some kind of taxes (except those in extreme poverty). It would not be fair to let lawyers and doctors who make all of their income from services not be taxed .In order for the FairTax to be truly fair, all sources of sales, including services, need to be taxed.
Almost all states will also need to make a decision about what to do when it comes to taxing services. The authors of the FairTax believe that most (if not all) states will choose to also tax services. Doing so will allow them to increase their tax base and simplify the collection of the FairTax by aligning state and federal sales tax programs.
Your logic and statements regarding the half of Americans who don’t pay federal taxes and how they do pay taxes at the state level is completely mixed up. Your facts that poor people do pay state taxes and fees is correct. But your conclusions against the FairTax because of this are completely misguided. Again, the FairTax has nothing to with state tax revenues, how they are collected, nor the amounts states collect. If the states continue to choose to tax the poor with sales taxes, fees, property taxes, etc. that is their choice and the FairTax has nothing to say about that either way. By the way, states which choose to continue these policies will not be able to compete against other states who choose to eliminate these policies.
The reason that the issue of how many people pay federal taxes even comes up with the FairTax is regarding “increasing the tax base”. The FairTax will collect taxes on many people who pay no FEDERAL taxes today. This includes: criminals, federal income tax cheats, illegal aliens, foreign workers on visas, etc. This is a huge source of additional taxes that is untapped today under the federal income tax.
I could go on and on about the benefits of the FairTax … transparency, increased exports, booming economic growth … there is so much. But enough for now.
We in the T Party need to come together to support one candidate. Else our voices are lost in the storm. As for me, I like Ron Paul’s proposal to do away with the IRS as soon as possible.
The leadership training weekend in Charleston was so worth it! Getting so much information and meeting so many wonderful patriots is very encouraging in the fight to save our country!
The destiny of America is in the croosroad in the next election…..If this ideological president is re-elected.. our values, freedom, and posibilities are all gone… Fight hard Tea Party…. you are the oasis of the real liberty
Obama is a sinking ship! BUT, we all need to get the message out to the candidates to stop the petty bickering at get to the issues at hand! Tell us WHAT YOU WILL DO AND HOW YOU WILL DO IT! Candidates, PLEASE stop the petty bickering and represent a confident and mature plan for the American citizens! If I could vote as an independent, I would go with Romney for he knows how to make money and work the system at hand! Why would anyone not want to learn how to make more money FGS! Stop all the negative towards the sucessful American and get in his corner FGS
Like the slogan
“WE CAN’T WAIT”
we need to have these signs at the political meetings of all political parties
excellent we have to get this kind of response out! kepp it up!!
Excellent – I wonder what the odds are that congress will LISTEN and ACT! OMG = Obama Must Go
I totally agree with your message. President Obama acts like a dictator, saying one thing then doing whatever is expedient for his purposes. I can’t believe anyone would believe one word that comes from his mouth. THANK YOU for your your sane message and mission. I am so thankful for your organization and its efforts to restore the United States to a proud, prosperous nation again.
May God bless and guide the Tea Party Movement and the United States of America
out of the Darkness we find ourselves.
Great response! Let all Patriots remember, no matter how flawed our candidate will be… he can and MUST win this election! “We Can’ Wait!”
You are being much to kind in your response to the President’s State of the Union Speech. In no way am I advocating foul language or anything of that nature. What I am saying is that, like the mule that needs to be hit between the eyes with the proverbial 2″ x 4″ just to get its attention, Obama is completely oblivious to facts. He says anything he believes is palatable at the moment. This may have worked before the advent of all the various types of recording devices available today, but no longer. He says one thing one day and the exact opposite the next, without blinking an eye. How he does it with a straight face is beyond me, except that he is a professional, at not being truthful. The only things he will understand are being faced with Articles of Impeachment, or an overwhelming defeat at election time.
We must be vocal against the power grab that this president has achieved and is trying to excelerate with this State of the Union address. Listen to his words and the ajenda is obvious, he is trying to manipulate the system and ignore the constitution. What are our representatives doing behind the scenes to combat this movement by a liberal/progressive power grab? The media hasn’t even come close to vetting this president or his cohorts. The veil of suspicion must be removed to show the true emperors clothes! Thank you Patriots for taking a stand for the silent majority, which must not be silent any more!
We must start to be visual again…in this short term memory country, out of site out of mind. If we are not visual to the public we look weak.
There is NO candidate for the Presidency that will support our NOW objectives. Very little difference in the 2 parties. They just want to CONTROL the spending not reduce it. It is imperative we identify qualified, conservative, Tea Party supporters, to run for the House and the Senate.
Thanks for this. Your leadership is honest, clear and indispensable.
Repeal not just Health Care, but the multitude of Government agencies which are trying to control our lives and steal our liberty. The strength of our Tea Party is our only hope!!
I am appalled at this President! He is doing everything he can to destroy our beloved Nation! I stand with the TEA Party! The time is NOW!!!
Great! It makes me laugh when they say “the tea party is dead!”
No, we are just busy working, not mooching like the “Kool -aid party”
(those in this administration AND the so called OWS mooches!)
President Obama quoted President Lincoln’s statment that government should do for people only those things they cannot do better for themselves. Then he said he AGREED WITH THAT :O
He is absolutely right! So are we going to quote him quoting Lincoln every day until he quits trying to turn the government even more into a nanny state ??
It’s about spending, not taxing. Since the Senate has been derelict in their budgeting duties for over 1,000 days now, why are they not recalled? Either budget or be gone. Remove them.
If the Tea Party were to really stick to its 3 main principles: Fiscal Responsibility, Limited Government & Free Markets… there would only be 1 candidate in either Major Party we could support 100%: Ron Paul. Tea Party people usually come up with excuses (outside of the 3 main principles) to NOT endorse him. If they do: it will either be another 4 years of Obama or, at best, more of the same big government R instead of D.
That was a pretty thin response, given the amount of material covered by the POTUS. BTW why do you continue to repeat an easily debunked claim that there has been no budget passed for 1000 days? Barack Obama took office in 2009, which ran under Bush’s last budget. The 2010 budget was passed by Congress
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/04/29/politics/main4977653.shtml
as was the 2011 budget:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_United_States_federal_budget
When one of your three major talking points is incorrect it harms your overall message.
Is the Democrat-controlled Senate that has not produced a budget in over 1000 days. Jenny was just fine.
What do you do when taking risk or not taking risk carries the same danger?
What would this political campaign look like if it were simply framed in the question, “Do we want a man of True Grit as president or not?” All of the TV commercials and all the platitudes would simply fad away.
Ron
IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE,
BACK TO THE CONSERVATIVE, CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE.
THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS GOT TO BE FIRED !
GOD BLESS THE TEA PARTY
GOD BLESS AMERICA
Thank God for the Tea Party!! I think its the only thing that keeps me out of a state of depression….Anybody but Obama!!! Good idea to go for the Senate and the House in case he steals, lies or cheats his way in again.. I can’t stand his voice or the sight of him.
Thank you for the concise, clear response and message to spread to others! Stay strong, Tea Party!! We have and we can make a difference!! Continue to spread the message everyone!
We need Mitch Daniels to run for President! We are going to lose this election if either of the front runners we presently have win the nomination!!!
We can not afford to lose the 2012 election! If we do, we have lost America as we know it.
If the Tea Party has any influence at all….use it to persuade him to run!!!!
THIS “REPLY” TO THE SOTU BY THE PRESIDENT IS WONDERFUL AND SHOULD BE PLAYED ON THE INTERNET FOR ALL TO SEE.
PUT IT ON YOUTUBE SO MILLIONS CAN GET THE MESSAGE. PLEASE, PEOPLE NEED DIRECTION, THE “RIGHT” DIRECTION TO GET THIS COUNTRY BACK.
God bless you all! Keep up the wonderful work. We will all “Remember in November!”
Great, short TPP message. President Obama’s long message touch on something for each and every one and made few mistakes by making alienating statements. The battle is joined. The few people (Tea Parties) must be very animated with great logic and feeling to awaken the masses. It only takes a few percent of the people to change our course. George Soros stated yesterday in Switzerland that the US can expect (the 99%) riots in the streets. We must keep our Tea Parties standards and peacefully mass together. I think that the TPP wants a return to the existing the Constitution rather than being diverted by support of repeal of an Amendment. But eventually we must face up to the core issues of money, government power and national wealth. Repeal of the 16th Amendment would allow great wealth increases, better control of government revenues, and reductions in lobbyists and their crony-capitalism power. With repeal, the FAIRTAX offers a solution that would level the import/export playing field.
Terrific message! We need to get behind one candidate, and our theme should be, “The Time Is Now”.
Good message.
Our message to Our Congressional Representatives needs to be strong and forthright in saying; Do the tough job we backed you to perform. Don’t stall, Don’t waver and Don’t mince words, represent We The People in the manner in which you promised or remove yourself so we don’t have to. Lead, don’t follow, We have no time to dillydally!
Gilbert Silva
Jenny Beth. . . How can you and your staff of Patriots get this video put together so quickly? You are awesome!
Excellent! I am pleased to be a part of the Tea Party! Keep up the good work.
After listening to the state of the union address ..I can not tell anything different from the last time our pres. was standing on the soap box, spouting off on things he cannot get done…. three years and still no budget…. I could not pick a better example of gov. gone awfully wrong. one can pick any hot button topic, and see that nothing has been accomplished for the people or by the people…. I belive the tea party might want to find out who he is really is………………..this would perhaps defeat him next year. not much else will I”m afraid…..the real hope for America is to throw out the senators that are members of anti freedom, or communist party members
In Montana, the Tea Party is gaining momentum every day. Local Tea Party members and supporters are running for, and winning, positions at every level of government. We hold candidate forums and work directly with political leaders and prospects. We investigate and steer legislation. We educate our families, friends and neighbors on the importance of restoring fiscal sanity and productivity to government, and protecting our constitutional freedoms.
The Montana Tea Party Coalition, made up of affiliate groups from all over the state, continues to grow and take on important projects. It is a powerful force in Montana politics and government. Registrations for an upcoming training session for Tea Party leaders in Montana quickly overran expectations and required an increase in capacity.
While the liberal media slaps each other on the back and hangs “Mission Accomplished” banners, Tea Party members and supporters nationwide are working hard behind the scenes and getting results. It is cause for great optimism for the upcoming elections and beyond.
Don’t we all just hate seeing a bad actor perform? Barry’s performance last night was just another terrible episode from a sitcom gone wrong,,,, its time we rally the masses to cancel his show due to his bad ratings. We need to stay on course by electicting true patriots who have a vision of a “new, old America” Our country has lead the world in positive changes over the years but in doing so has lost some of its core values that put us in the leadership position to begin with. God Bless Americans!!!
So, Ms. Martin, you think that Mr.Gingrich, this self proclaimed Wilsonian, TR progressive, FDR worshipper, big government idea, pro amnesty, immoral, unethical, ultimate Washington insider is the answer?!?! I don’t think so. I’m sorry.
They think we’er just a movement that has lost its steam and is going away. Watch what happens when we are going away from the ballot box, after voting them out!
Excellent response! Verbalized concepts and
Steps needed to remedy our country’s
basic problems! Now to keep moving forward!
We have a greater threat than just eliminating the current “Chief of Strife.” Our President took an oath of office to “support and defend the constitution”. He is abrogating his oath. Why aren’t actions underway to punish him for knowingly and willingly violating the limits of his constitutional authority? What can we do to rid ourselves of this constitutionally corrupt administration before our constitutional rights are destroyed?
Well DONE, Jenny Beth.
You killed your argument when you assume poor people have $40.000 dollar a year jobs. the problem is all these lovely businesses that we tout so loudly as the Saviour’s of our economy are paying $10.000-20.000 a year. Thats what poor is miss. And the government is taking roughly $2800 from the ten. I so wonder why you folks have such a disjointed and unrealistic view of this country? I suspect it might have something to do with all the drinking and partying you all did in college.
I think you have a great point. If you look at the original constitution, the federal government was supposed to collect taxes from the states, based on their populations. It was up to the states to collect the taxes, not the feds.
I wish we could get that movement going. It we did that, the spending issues would be solved pretty quickly I bet.
Nora, how is it unfair when all americans pay the same tax? The truth is the system that you purpose is what we have now and that is unfair. 1) Why should one american pay more taxes because he earns or makes more money? The fact is the only person keeping anyone from earning or making more money is themselves. If you don’t like the amount you earn or make then do something else like educate yourself, take on another job, start your own business, its’ up to you. Your future is in you hands not the governments. 2) The 1/2 of americans that do not pay federal taxes (income, social security, medicare) don’t pay property taxes either because they don’t own homes. Therefore they don’t pay any state and local taxes except for sales tax, yet they send kids to school and use public facilities. They also more than likely collect some sort of government subsity. 3) 40K is not poverty and there is a big difference between making and having. After your plan the person would have less than 36K. 4) As long as there is a income tax there will always be an IRS department. That’s what they do, collect and check income tax statements. How else would they know if your paying your fair share. A national sales tax would not require an IRS department, and you should like this, because the states would see to the collection of sales tax just as they already do. 5) So what if the federal government wants to track spending habits. They will not know how much money an indivdual has and thats a good thing.
As a new member I found the conference to be extremely beneficial. I was able to network with established coordinators and get ideas from what they are doing. And the training classes had great information. We called a leadership meeting to discuss how and what to implement first.
Thanks to everyone for all your help!
The message was presented Clean and to the point,Very good
He is asking for another term so he can do what he promised to do in his first term…Good-bye Obama….Please go back to Hawaii, I only go there about every 3years, but live in Illinois so please don’t move back to Chicago…Our prisons are getting full of Democrats now, we don’t have much room left.
Lets hope that Onmam is unemployed in 2012. Yet, I fear if Newt wins the GOP then all bets are off. Newt has fare too much baggage and I fear would lose the general. The general election will become a focus on Newt and let Obmam avoid running on his failed record. I am sure Obama and his team are hoping that Newt wins. Romney is the only GOP at this point that could win the general election. However; it seems the tea party is supporting Newt. Do we want a President that can’t even live by the values of marriage in the White House or a first lady that sleeps with other peoples husbands? Newt will become the talking points for late night TV shows. Sat Night Live will love Newt and his wife! Makes for good jokes. The first lady is having a White House party and it is for husbands only! Get ready for jokes like this if Newt wins. Then the general election will be all about Newt.
John.. don’t you believe that PROPAGANDA for one minute. Romney is a RINO, bought and paid for by the establishment GOP we are FIGHTING as conservatives.
.
Every human being has BAGGAGE in that we were all young at one time and made mistakes of judgement. Romney has MORE baggage than Newt does in that he has NEVER been a conservative in any way, shape or form.
.
Newt will fight for conservatism.. Romney will not. This is THE battle of our age.. Do we roll over and let the RINO’s keep screwing things up? Or, do we take a stand behind someone who will fight tooth and claw for CONSERVATIVE values?
.
Don’t believe all that electability crap they are propigating as it is pure PROPAGANDA to try to convince you to support the GOP establishment candidate. They are trying to SCARE you and you are falling for it.
.
Stand on your conservative principles and support Newt.. or fold to their bluff and fear mongering tactics… do that and the RINO’s defeat conservatism. Remember, they also said Reagan couldn’t win as a conservative… Now they were pretty WRONG there as America happens to be conservative..
Newt, a conservative?! Madam, you cannot be serious. Newt has a proven record of a big government ideas. He is a progressive republican and if you don’t believe that, just check youtube;Newt in his own words. Newt will not fight for our conservative principles, Newt is only going to fight for his grandiose ideas. What is the point of replacing one megalomanic with another?!
Nora, I wish I was as convinced on Newt as you are. I personally still have some reservations about taking the leap to Newt. My belief is that Washington is broken because our politicians that go there and get caught up in the power and influence. It’s hard for me to think of Newt as anything but one of the Washington insiders, now claiming to be an outsider. I will remain open minded but Newt hasn’t convinced me yet.
but newt is a big government republican who has favored a mandated federal insurance for over 20 years, and is a believer in man-made global warming. we dont need someone who thinks that just because he has some conservative fiscal ideas, that Big Brother Government is the way to our salvation.
Newt has so much baggage and is definitely NOT a conservative, even though he wants you to believe he is by WHAT HE SAYS…(Rhetoric), that one has to be blind to endorse or even consider Newt. He is the last on my list of candidates. All one has to do is some (very little) research and see that Newt is a globalist through and through! I could post everything there is to know about Newt, but I’m sure if you look up, even in his years in the Reagan administration you will find some very startling words coming out of his mouth that go against everything he is saying now.
Nora Craig I agree with you. I support the one that getsc bashed by the media at this point we don’t have time to focus on baggage its a game of chess.
I agree with John – Newt has too much baggage. And Newt is all about Newt. We already have a narcissist in the Whitehouse. We don’t need to replace him with another one. Like everyone else, I believe Newt would tear Obama apart in a debate. That is the “Superbowl” everyone wants to see. But debates alone do not elect Presidents. Character also matters and that is where Newt fails. So we are left with Romney and I believe he has enough general voter appeal to win. Given Romney, then we need to elect as many Conservatives to take back the Senate and retain the House. Whatever conservative legislation is passed by the Congress, Romney will sign. In the end, we accomplish our goals.
I think Newt is the ONLY true Conservative in the race. I am not concerned with private lives, but I am very concerned if the person elected will bring this country back to the goals and values that Reagan had–and that is NOT the moderate Romney. Newt was the leader in getting the Budget balanced 4 times (no one else can claim that), he was responsible for the “Contract with America” that brought control of the House & Senate back to Republicans, and he was able to work with not only the Democrat President, but the Democrats in the House & Senate to accomplish this! He is the Man we want!!
Whats a conservative value and how does it differ from the progressive value? Say what you mean.
I understand your concept but I respectfully disagree with your layout. Now days if you look at the U.S. population in general, most have been divorced at least once.
I have yet to make up my mind on the two candidates and I certainly hope that the debates last a very, very long time. Don’t allow the liberal media to pick our next candidate. We need bold idea’s whether we know it or not.
Independents will vote for Newt if America determines him to be the next GOP candidate. We do have to stay focused on Obummers record. The media will make that tuff but while we change back to a more conservative point of view, lets demand that in our media as well. It will make years ahead much better for America.
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS THE TEA PARTIES
It seems to me that the main goal of both Romney and Gingrich is to keep Ron Paul from speaking. And so far they have accomplished their goal. The media is doing it too. What is that all about ???
I’m sick and tired of letting media, or television networks dictate what is right and wrong. We’re not going to vote for someone because of the fear of saturday night live liberals? Newt has the experience and record for the sustained change that we need. Who cares if his personal life was less than perfect in the past. I care about what you’ve done for me lately and Newt is a leadre who can win!
Well said…
Great response… The Time IS NOW!!
To those who believe the Tea Party has weakened I say, good luck with that. See you in November.
Please, if your are going to state Obama care needs repealed, add and be replaced, or, just replaced. Those folks out there think they will lose their health if you and other conservitives just say repealed.
Jack Vasko
Great Job! Direct and to the point. Thank God for the Tea Party! We the People will take America back. 2012 is the most important election in our life time. We the People do not want a socialist nation.
The Tea Party could not be more lucid in what Congress actions should be. These basic requirements are self evident and it is hard to understand why Congress has chosen not to follow sound principle and to work genuinely in the best interest of the people. Keep working I’m in full support keep the great work up.
You plainly state everything you want in your new ad. What you really need to do is get behind the man that can help the most. Get behind Ron Paul. It seems to me that is what the Tea Party is all about. He is only electable if enough people can be rallied to vote for him. This may be the only chance America has to save this Republic.
I know the Tea Party does not like him, but Newt is not worth the powder to blow him clean to hell, and Romney is just like Obama in a white suit. THe Tea Party could do wonders for the Ron Paul campaign. What are you afraid of? A change for the good, or something different than the status quo?
Good speech Jenny Beth. We need more of this and fast. The state of the union address that Obama made was stolen straight from the GOP playbook. No one believes that he is serious about drilling for oil, natural gas, nor anything else. This is just more lies to try getting re-elected.
Join the FIRST BRIGADE— it’s so easy and you can know that every month you are giving to some of the hardest workers in the movement to stop progressive liberals! I love being a First Brigade member, we give just a small amount, and it’s automatically deducted. Money talks and if we all give a tiny bit, we can continue making progress and reach TPP goals!
My comment is awaiting moderation????? I thought the Tea party was all about the constitution, and liberty.
I watched Obama’s speech and also observed the people in the audience. Many seem to be people who live in a fish bowl and not in touch with the citizens of our country. I understand why we need to have term limits. I don’t believe that I heard anything about following our Constitution.
Great job Jenny Beth and all the hard workers who are trying to save our country. Thank you so much! God be with you!
My comment is awaiting moderation????? I thought the Tea party was all about the constitution, and liberty. I must have been wrong again. Darn!
This sounds like Tea Party needs to back Ron Paul…fully. Let’s hold them accountable!
We will have to be very, very resolute in 2012 until we elect President Obama’s replacement. The enemy keeps repeating the message that the Tea Party is evil & they have hundreds of million$ to put into TV ads to repeat that message while the captive media embelishes in counterpoint. Keep up the great work you have already accomplished. Truth is a killer of lies. Absolute truth is even better. I love everyone I have met in the Tea Party. My greatest moment was hearing Gov Palin speak to the thousands of us assembled in Nevada. It was a beauthiful bus trip from Flagstaff.
Tea Party, I’m a supporter. Would love it if you had a “Membership Drive” and drafted a set of basic principles that you/we stand for. This would go a long way in closing arguments about who/what who we are and what we stand for. It would solidify our Party. The OWS has been criticized for not having an organized goal, mission, plan and no one seems to understand what they are protesting, except that the rich have it and I don’t. I would like for the TP to have a list of basic principles that we stand for and support. We may have interests outside those basic principles but this is our basic stand. This way we can gain more members and grow in size and influence. It is possible that we could grow into a 3rd party and not have to accept the McCains or Romneys of the RNC.
Very good message. We have not gone away, as they would like. We are re – grouping. This is our time. STAND UP FOR AMERICA.
Nora, I want to add to your thread. I think on principle, a flat tax makes simple sense. Why should one citizen pay a tax rate higher than anyone else? Because I make more money? Sound unfair to me. If I make more, then I pay the same rate, and in turn is fair. Be it 10% or 5%. Lets exempt the poor. Start at $25,000. or less. $40,000. is not poor.
I think that a platform to reform taxes will swing the voters our way versus Obama’s spending and tax method. The IRS should be abolished, and Congress should not be able to play with tax shelters, deductions, easily. Tax legislation should be hard to create, and Congress has been corrupt.
There is absolutely nothing conservative about Newt. He favors the big government programs of Wilson and F.D.R., supports universal health care and opposes the second ammendment. If you don’t believe me check his record. Nothing screams louder than that. He is nothing more than Obummer lite. The only true conservative left in the race is Santorum and most of you probably won’t even give him the time of day. We stand at a crossroads in our nations history. If we don’t stand strong and elect TRULY pricipled people to the government then we WILL lose this fine nation to the progressive left. One thing I noticed in last nights campaign moment that nobody seems to be even talking about is the statement that Obummer wants congress to grant him MORE executive authority to do what he wants to “slim down government” and put the power in his hands. It seems to me that there was another individual in history who asked for the same thing from his government back in – oh – about 1936 – and got it. The rest is history. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. God Bless the United States of America because it seems to me that no one else will.
Well done, Jenny Beth. Great conference with great patriots. We will stop them NOW!!
Great Americans, great message, very engaged. “Charlie Mike” (Continue the Mission)
We’ll keep shouting AND praying !
Keep up the awesome work! Thank God for the Tea Party!!!
I fully support Jenny Beth’s comments and the Tea Party as a whole. I also agree with the comment above that Romney is a RINO. Why else did McCain endorse him?The RINO’s have not made a serious attempt to overhaul government, and for too many years we believed that Republican=conservative, but that is not so. I do have one question. Has the TPP officially come out and endorsed Newt, or any other candidate? Before I make any donations, I want to know what the plan for the election is.
That’s right! The time is NOW! Because if not now, then when? After we fall and our freedom lost? We don’t have time to lose. We have to act now, and we won’t stop, and we won’t give up, and we won’t give in!!!!!!
Good Job, the establishment of both parties are trying to minimize the Tea Party Movement, but it may not be on the sidewalk with picket signs right now, but there are lots of people working at all levels of govt. As for Newt, I was a GOP Activist from 1993 to 1998, It was the establishment gop and the dems that wanted Newt gone, The dems brought 100s of allegations to force him from office. This is par for the course, pro-life, gun owners, constitutionals are welcome to work, but diont run a canadate , remember Pat Buchanon after New Hampshire, Romney is supported by the Establishment, like “no new taxes bush”, he will attempt to keep the status que. better than Obama, but we must get away from the lesser of 2 evils, Dole, who allwed the Assault weapon ban to come to the floor, when it had been stopped, so It could be used as a camaign strategy, Bush and Mc Cain who signed and sponsored Campaign Finance leg. that limited the money to a canadate, focing the money through the party, so they could control the candidates. These people do not want fundamental reform of a corrupt crony system.
You know, it’s a crazy thing to see, but even I am warming up to Newt due to the simple fact that he has reconciled with God and his family. To me, that takes a lot of courage to do and to continue on as he has.
Alot of people are speaking about he non electability of Newt and I am seeing that quite the opposite is happening. He won South Carolina, and they are saying on the news that he has a great chance of winning in Florida. Me personally, I would vote for Newt, or Rick Santorum for that matter. They both have a personal strength and character about them that we should be looking for in ourselves. I know that Newt has made mistakes in his past, yet, haven’t we all. If the true conservative base were to rally behind either him or Rick then they would be unbeatable.
Let’s face it, if we don’t rally, as is our responsibility to do so, our country, economy, culture, standard of living, and so on and so forth is going to come to a grinding halt. It doesn’t matter what is in Newts past, if we rally, we can’t lose and the left knows this.
Believe it.
We can live and prosper, together, or we will end up in a collapsed America where you will have to choice but to fend for yourself for your very own survival.
A House Divided Cannot Stand. It’s time to rally!
If the Tea party is supporting someone like Newt, then all the education we had these past three years has all been for nothing. As an Independent conservative, Not a Republican nor a Democrat, I cannot believe that there is consideration for this particular candidate. I’m a born-again Christian and definitely understand the meaning of God’s redemption. But, Newt is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and really if the Tea Party cannot see this, then I don’t think I would want to be part of the “Tea Party” any longer. Good Luck to you all! God will allow whom “WE” choose to be our “king”, and we will reap the consequences, good and bad
I’m with Nora… and for Newt. The Republican establishment, that gave us both Bushes and McCain is freaking out about Newt’s popularity and message. Romney is a nice guy, but at best, a moderate with a bad case of “Potomac Fever”. Newt has “been there, done that” on balancing budgets, welfare reform, and directing the government to empower business – not take over business.
Tea Party people should become Republican Precinct Committeemen and change the party from within. Don’t just fight from the outside. From within is how Progressives took over the Democrat Party. We can’t just shout at politicos from the outside. Most of them are deaf unless you’re packing a hefty checkbook. Change the whole party from within. Then build the “farm club” of candidates that hold to Constitutional principles.
What Presidential candidate is the Tea Party supporting
Lawrence Overton
Keep up the good fight!
This presentation almost brings tears to my eyes. Our beloved Nation is under seige by left-wing radicals. To stand with Tea Party members at events like the one depicted, as they espouse their love for the U.S.A., is priceless. Thank you to every one of you. Keep up the work, never give up, if not for yourself, for your grandchildren. We must continue standing up and make our voices heard, even as the radicals try to vilify us. We know who the “Astroturf” are! God Bless us and our beloved U.S.A.
This video captured the essence of our organization……congratulations. Just a few words of truth spoken with conviction and reason. Obama becomes more frightening each day. This worker bee is ready to move again…….The Time is Now!
I am proud to be a Steadfast Patriot……… grateful to our dedicated talented and dignified TPP leaders. Thank you
Let America catch her breath and she’ll show you what she can do!
When I was a young boy my Grandfather would tell us not to believe anything you see or read in news. The left are propaganda specialists.
I am with you 100%. The time is now to back your favorite candidate. You must study it out and really think about who you are voting for and why. It’s not easy, I know. But we, as hard working, constitution loving Americans must survive this trial. We MUST succeed, or…..
AMEN! Count me in.
Mit Romney got rich not paying taxes! And so should we! Let’s be clear we are not talking about income taxes, although everyone, including the poor will benefit from paying lower income taxes. The issue we need to frame is how higher taxes on investments reduce investments, just as higher taxes on cigarettes reduced cigarette consumption. Lower capital gain taxes encourage investment. In fact, some may rightly argue that the tax rate on investing should be zero!
So let’s keep our argument focused on taxes on investment and not on comparative effective tax rates.
The number one challenge is the economy, number two is the deficit. Which republican is better trained and experienced? Romney. There is no other.
Obama is just out of touch with real Americans that struggle ever day with his out of control spending and growing the size of government. He announced yet again another agency he is forming. That money comes from us!! He is way over his head running this country. Time to put a true conservative in office.
Something to think about. A new story this morning mentioned that Romney has 72 Congressional endorsements, but Newt has only 11. Why the discrepancy? Because those established Congressmen know that they CANNOT control Newt, but believe they could easily control Romney. I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of the established way of doing things and am ready for someone who can ROCK THE BOAT! If Newt is the candidate selected, then it’s up to all of us to make sure the nation focuses on the ISSUES and not things the media decides should be the focus.
Romney is a liberal democrat trying to hide in a conservative republican disguise. He won’t change anything from Obama’s policies that really amount to much,no matter what he says. Gingrich to start with is totally unlikable, he believes in a strong military. That means he wants more defense spending, a U.S. military presence EVERYWHERE. A continuation of WPD (World Police Department). No change in foreign policy, no reduction in the deficit, no change to letting the Fed. Reserve doing whatever they feel like. Only Ron Paul speaks out about out of control spending and the Fed as the most important problems. We took down the Soviet Union and we don’t have the common sense to see we are doing the same things that brought them down. One problem though, when we fall we won’t have the USA to help us like the rest of the world has had!
This was the worse SOU speech in over 30 years. He thinks he is a KING and wants to control all aspects of Government
I am honored to have been able to attend the conference and the GOP debate. Great job everyone. Jenny Beth you are the bomb!!
None of the candidates seem to be completely free of not doing anything liberal. I am still worried about what is in Newt’s past. Pelosi is threatening more revelations. The last thing we need is a crisis of trust. Mitt may be boring and then there’s the Romney care thing but I do believe him that it was for a limited amount of people in MA and wasn’t mandated on everyone and every employer with monetary punishments like Obamacare. But he knows about how jobs are created and where money comes from. Santorum is ethical, with only a few liberal votes but can he Win? Not even going to discuss Paul’s foreign policy. We really do not have a true Tea Party candidate so we will have to wait and see who ends up to be the least risk to the country.
We really can’t wait. Our Nation is under fire from Mr. Obama. He doesn’t want to fix America, he wants to tear it down.
We are held hostage by our politicians, more from the liberal side than the conservative side. We are taxed, for the most part, to pay for special purposes not out of what is needed to run the government. Once a tax is implemented it never goes away. Three things need to happen. Term limits for all representatives and congressmen. A review of all taxes, with the elimination of those taxes that are not used for running our national government, as spelled out in the constitution. Lastly elimination of those Departments that we know are not in the best interest of our country such as the Department of Energy, Department of Education, and Department of Housing and Urban Development.
This is just a start a total review of the Government and a shift back to the basic principles our forefathers outlined for us in the constitution.
FWIW: From what I’ve learned, Newt’s Congressional past was a purely political, in-fighting power grab. While I truly don’t care for Newt’s marital business/history, I believe that’s behind him, and I believe he, with Tea Party’s help, is capable of blowing off that rhetoric like water off a duck—-and fighting the Conservative fight!
To wit: He blew away that first SC question from that CNN dolt in a few heartbeats—and THAT reverberated not just those present—-throughout the media, as well—probably was a major turning point for him in SC, and probably again come FL.
And, the late-night X-gen, immature and uniinformed audiences are not gonna’ turn to Romney either—-they’re Obama sheep—-look at the Obama crap they bought hook, line, and sinker in ’08!
I’m with Tea Party all the way. The Occupy network is gonna’ be all over Romney like stink on do-do……..I’d much rather work harder and give more to see Newt standing up for Conservatives than to see a RINO sucking up and crossing the aisle.
i have not seen my Tea Party position on ILLEGAL aliens. i want them all DEPORTED.
what is the Ea Party position.
Jenny, you didn’t need to make a believer out of me, but it was a wonderful confirmation. Keep up the good work.
We can not have a healthy society where the more numerous poor and middle class through the power of the ballot box coerce the fewer wealthy, successful individuals to subsidize them. Alexis Tocqueville warned of this in his works and we are in grave danger of devolving into ochlocracy under the present regime.
Ours is a nation built by individuals striving to better themselves for the benefit of those they loved working as families and communities to achieve their goals. Have we learned nothing from the failure of the worlds socialist / communist states during the past few decades?
Please check out the “Fair Tax” the best solution to this issue of taxes. We need to stop taxing income. The current tax code is designed to prevent middle income earners from ever acquiring real wealth. The Fair Tax is a national retail sales tax that does away with the income tax and the IRS and has provisions for those with lower incomes.
We have to stand together and stand strong. Obama is going to do all he can to make everyone but hiimself look good. I’m leaning toward Newt right now. He has baggage but we all do. He admits his wrong doings and has asked for forgiveness. That takes a big man to do that. He is smart and I think he cares about our country and wants to help us take our country back. We have to vote Obama out and Repeal Obamacare. Come on people we have to stand united. God Bless America!!
I love receiving your work, but have such a hard time hearing them.
Fortunately, I am not hard of hearing. I think there is something wrong with your audio. When I try to increase the sound, absolutely nothing happens.
I receive lots of emails with great sound, but the Tea Party Patriots videos are barely audible.
Kathleen
I wish, our Republican contenders: Mitt romney and Newt Gingrich, don’t dpend their time fighting each other, but rather, fighting Obama-the -disaster.
There is enough weakness actually in the Republican Party to give advantage to the disaster-man. please, Tea party members, if you can talk with Gingrich ,particularly, tell him to be strong, and positive; budget, international politics, and the needs of this country about: jobs, natural resources such oil, and factories back here must be the subjects number one.
Hello Newt, speak strongly on the behalf of We, the People! Good luck!
Anne Marie Gressani/ Naples
I was so proud to stand with the Tea Party the last three years. I thought the silent majority had finally awakened and how much we could accomplish. And we have accomplished much. But now it is time to pick our next President, and I’m afraid we are really blowing it. Look at our choices – Romney, another moderate, who says what he thinks the audience before him wants to hear. Gingrich, another megalomaniac and narcissist that believes in big government and that it just needs to be run better – by him of course. Santorum, who I like to call sanctimonious Santorum, whose family values I admire but don’t believe should be mandated by government. Parents have relinquished their parental role and let Hollywood and the government take over the children’s morality and education. If our child doesn’t do well in school, it is the fault of the teachers, not the parents who don’t take any responsibility for their child’s education. If our child has no morality, it is the fault of our culture, not that we don’t bother to teach them morals or take them to church or to speak out against the immorality in music, film and TV. Only the People can restore the values of America, not Government.
Then we have Ron Paul, a man who tells us the truth that we say we want to be told, but really don’t want to hear. He holds to the Constitution, which the Tea Party said it wanted to restore. He’s telling us we are acting as an Empire and all Empires in history have fallen by overextending themselves. He’s telling us we are broke and can’t afford any more wars. We can’t afford to police the entire world. He wants to build our defense by trimming the overseas expenditures, but keep our military strong. If we need to go to war, he wants it to be a legally declared war ( known as a Constitutional war) where we go win and come home. Then we listen to the pundits who tell us he is dangerous? He is a Constitutionalist who believes that the primary responsibility of the Federal Government is to protect the Rights of the Individual, per the Declaration of Independence, and to protect the Nation, per the Constitution. Declaration of Independence – Government is instituted among men to protect these rights, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Constitution – We the People, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of Liberty for ourselves and our posterity, do hereby ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States. When asked about the execution of an American citizen without Due Process, al Alaki, he reminds us of the Rule of Law, and gets booed. We are a nation built on the rule of law, not the rule of man. Am I glad the terrorist is dead – you bet. Was it done by the rule of law or the rule of man? You decide.
I leave you with this final thought. Don’t choose heads or tails, two sides of the same coin, Choose Real Change – Vote Ron Paul – 2012.
The time is now… for calling thie treacherous reprobate the Muslim-Marxist that he is. His policy is all about dividing and conquering and he is being given a free pass to do just that. Throw the lying Marxist out on those elephant ears of his – he definitely deserves it!
Please let’s not get too excited in trying to respond to the occupier of the 1600 address. We are just wasting our breath there. I tuned in late last night and was 9 or 10 minutes after the hour. I was so disgusted that he was late as usual that I turned him off after torturing myself for a monumental length of about 5 seconds. He makes me sick , we pay this clown a fortune and he lives better than any historical king or dictator ……. yet he can’t give us the respect of EVER showing up anywhere on-time ! I want everybody to do as Rush, Levin, Doyle, Dave Merlino, Savage , etc keep the pressure on obummer by speaking to everyone you can. Make them defend their weak positions, get out all our voters and do whatever you can to eliminate voter fraud. I am from Chicago and I bet I can still vote as many times as I want; even when my ” name” is on an old grave marker ! Let’s pray that someday soon we shall be able to see a real president when someone says the president is giving an address ! This present fraud in the office does not deserve any recognition and I will not ever refer to him as our president. The emperor has no clothes and we have appx 20% of the legitimate voters wagging the dog when they only compromise the dogs tail ! ( and it stinks too )
…If Americans TRULY want to see what the majority in this Country want? Then lets have the ULTIMATE ELECTION TITLE BOUT! The Socialist vs. The Constitutionalist! …in the blue corner, wearing the colors of the socialist liberal illegal immigrant party, weighing in at an unprecedented $15 Trillion Dollar Debt (and asking for $1 Trillion more), hailing from parts unverified, the master of economic disaster, the current President of the (once respected) United States of America, …Barack “BIG Government” OBAMMMMMMMAAAAA! …His challenger in the red corner, wearing the Constitution with the Bill of Rights trim, weighing in as the ONLY Congressman to vote NO on every tax increase, NO on sending troops to fight undeclared wars, is very concerned about the weight of $15 Trillion of debt (and will cut $1 Trillion in his first year), hailing from the 14th Congressional District of Texas for over 25 years, the man known as “Dr. No”, the Defender of Liberty, …Ron “Tax Slayer” PAUUULLLLLLL!
Feel free to repost if you like! RON PAUL 2012
Great message from true patriots. Now to work we go to save our nation from the clutches of this horrific menace that only wants to control, not lead!
SILENT NO MORE!!!
Excellent video and message. Great job continuing to perservere for this great country! God Bless America!
Nora Craig
You are spot on over the fair tax! With the cost of gas and electric, I’m broke from month to month, not to mention the cost of food and now gasoline! Hussain is piling on taxes that we don’t even know about, over a trillion dollars alone in the deathcare bill! The deathcare bill must be repealed, ALL OF IT, NOT JUST PARTS! rOMNEY IS A BIG RINO AND i DON’T TRUSRT HIMTO WALK MY DOG! aLL THE POSITIONS HE HAD WERE all democrat so he could get elected as gov. He said himself that he had to say what was needed to get elected, so what makes anyone think that he is not just saying what it takes to get the republican vote? I believe he is! He was for the vat tax, higher taxes in general, gun control, global warming, and abortion. I don’t believe he had a suddenly had a change of heart as soon as he decided to run for president to abandon all his democrat principles. No way, he wants to power of the white house! Either way, Hussain has got to go!
Nora Craig, Ma’am By what stretch of the imagination do you consider the “graduated income tax” fair?? Why should success be penalized? A fair income tax would be a flat percentage of income. The more you make, the more you pay, but at a fixed percentage that everyone would be taxed at. You think it is OK to treat people differently? The Constitution surely does not! I agree that we should not add a national sales tax without first killing off the income tax which is nothing more than a method of controlling the population. A truly fair income tax without a national sales tax should be our goal. Or, failing that, a national sales tax without the income tax.
I Love what the Tea Party stands for…America, God, and the Constitution.
Let G-d be true and every man a liar.
I believe by what I have listened to, by my carnal judgement
is that Mr. Gingrich has the fire in his belly. Do we want another
casper milk toast presidant! To me, he had the stones to call Islam
what it is, radicalized, and the historic truth about the palestinian people
who Biblically were Edomites. King David got rid of thousands of them
(historically). Why true it is an egnigma having to make a decision on
certain policing or assisting countries, but the land of Israel is the “ONLY”
Democracy in the whole of Asia. That county is a vested alli. The bombed a
fraudlent nuke factory, at the time of the Gulf War, when the Arab nation claimed
it was a “milk ” factory. Who knows if at that time,it could have been as Iran is now!
Whoever you decide to favor, is your decision. The is wisdom in a multitude of counslars’.
Pray that your choice will be guided by G-d, or at lease a rightous decision.
Newt, show Reganess prowess. Remember we have to have a Daivd to go against
the Liberal Goliath’s.
Leave us ALONE and we can heal our country.
The President used a lot of commentary to say absolutely nothing as usual!!! Keep the American voice loud and clear, we’ve had enough of big government!! We’ve had enough of lies and empty words !!!
Hang in there Tea Party, keep up the nation’s work, please!
Great job, Jenny. You are absolutely correct that the tea party movement is alive and well. Those of us in this movement understand that a ‘momentary impulse’ is not sufficient to change the nature of America’s political parties. We are challenging established powers that will not willingly give up the levers of power.
The Tea Party Rocks! Real Americans with Real Solutions. Time for us to overthrow the elitist Oligarchy who lord over we Americans. Time for the Constitution to be followed. Time to remove the Communists from our midst and put America first. Our prosperity spreads when America is Prosperous. Making America into a 3rd World Crap Hole helps no one, no where no way.
Regarding Newt:
It’s not so much his electability that bothers me; it’s that I don’t know what principles he truly holds. He’s an excellent debater, but we’re not electing a debater. We’re electing the leader of the free world. And for those of us in the tea party,we hope to turn the giant ship that is the United States toward its founding principles. Newt bought into the anthropogenic climate change meme that proved to be not just false, but purposefully falsified as a means to distribute wealth across the world. He supported Obamacare’s individual mandate – and on and on. He speaks forcefully and says the things conservatives want to hear, but I cannot say that I trust him to govern as a conservative. I don’t know what to expect from a Newt Gingrich presidency.
Mitt Romney is a weak horse; he’s a RINO. We all know that, and I’ll vote for him if I have to, but I don’t want to. The ugly fact is that we’ll end up choosing between Romney and Gingrich. I’ll vote for whomever the Republican nominee is; but given this field of candidates, I won’t be happy about it.
John I agree with what you said. ghowell, yes we have all made mistakes but we are not running for the Presidency.
Jenny Beth–Great Presentation
Looking forward to the Tea Party Candidates–you have my backing.
Newt has the experience to streamline taking our country back IF he stays focused. The fact that Pelosi is on the attack–he may be our best choice.
@Nora Craig
I love your IRS idea. For the life of me, I have never understood why the States do not collect the Tax. The governors should wake up and take back the States’ Rights. We need more Conservative Governors!
Why should the States turnover the Tax to the Feds and then beg to get it back? This could eliminate the Pork Barrel spending for sure, sure.
Bravo Tea Party!! Its good to hear you loud and clear. This is a good clear, simple message which is what this country needs. The elites would have us all believe we are too stupid to understand the “complex” problems in this county. The fact is that they too smart for their own good. The problems are simple in nature but it only takes courage to tackle them and go against the rank in file which draws strength from the dependent class. I can’t wait until the next TP gathering in DC to go and tell the folks in person that we have had enough of their incompetence!
The Founding Fathers put in a lot of time and effort designing this government, but it turns out that we are not following their template. The relationship between the two active branches of Government (The Congress and the Executive) is not correct. They are not dividing the power the way the founders wanted. The problem seems to center around the word “appropriate.” Please go to my web site where I discuss this and several other governmental malfunctions, Richard Mondale.org
I agree with g howell. Newt is a much better debater than Romney, it’s like nobama visiting all 53 states. Everyone had baggage and that mostly a personal manner. I say mostly because of that president who “did not have sexual relations wit that girl” but was getting a blxx job while on the phone discussing critical United States challenges.
We really need someone in the White House that will follow through on the tea party platforms they promised they would after they get into the White House. Right now, Gingrich may not be the perfect candidate, but the most electable we have to beat Hussein. I just don’t understand why people can’t see he’s trying to make us a socialist country.
I am surprised to see how little outrage there is expressed over Obama’s State of the Union. I guess that we are getting use to the Saul Alinsky rhetoric and feel more comfortable arguing about which Progressive Big Government Fascist Candidate, i.e. Obama, Mitt, Newt or whoever, is best for America. The fact is that America, as we know it is dead regardless of who wins the presidency. The younger generation, people who were bourn this morning, come into this world under the yoke of $46000 dollars of individual debt for which they did not vote for, they did not incur and they did not benefit from. Put simply they were bourn into indentured slavery thanks to the rotton stinking politicians that have trampled on our Constitution.
In a 65 minute prevaricative diatribe that he had the audacity to call a State of the Union, he declared the other two branches of government irrelevant and promised to get down to some heavy duty trampling on the Constitution. He promised to further enslave our young people, pretended that he is a ressurection of Robin Hood and bragged relentlessly about spending trillions of dollars while sacrificing 4000 soldiers in order that he could order the kill one arab – Osama Bin Laden. Wow – he is a real killing machine!
What do We The People do when we should be talking about dealing with high crimes and feloneous actions committed by the tyrant occupying our presidency? We talk about a fairer tax system and whether or not another Big Government Despot could do a better job. May be we deserve what the president has in store for us, but, as for me it is difficult to justify placing the yoke of tyranny on our young people. Throwing the Emperor’s tea overboard isn’t enough, it has got to the point where we need to sink the whole stinking ship. Prosecuting the Head Despot and his sleasy Czar type minions for corruption and possibly treason would be a good start.
Charles,
Thank you for your opinion and contribution…..Eloquently stated and 100% TRUE!!
Doesn’t the fact that we are here commenting show our disgust for the SOTU?
Amen. I agree, however, anyone that even asks about this is deemed a kook by the media and therefore, not listened to from then on. Apparently, something drastic is going to have to happen before the people wake up to what is being done to them.
I am so proud to be a part of the Tea Party Movement! I am truly grateful to all those dedicated and talented members that have given so many endless hours and sacrificed so much over the last 3 years to publicize, organize, train, communicate and bring this organization to where it is today – We have truly become a force to be reckoned with! Proud Americans coming together, from all walks of life, from all over this land, loving and caring deeply about their country and it’s future! We know in our hearts that if we want to preserve the freedoms that we share for the next generations to come that change must come NOW! 2012 is here and our real fight has only just begun! We will be victorious in defeating the Left and those who want to “change” America because we will always have God on our side! God bless the Tea Party and may God bless this great country that we all love!!
Dang Herman Cain. . . . you had to go get busted!! Well we didn’t need another bill the Molester of young interns in the White House. I still love you. As for Newt,. . . . he keeps talking about Washington Elites. . . Dah!!! He was one of them before he had to resign in disgrace. As for Mitt. . . . he doesn’t have a clue how the real people struggle to put gas in their cars, pay for insurance, heck. . . . buy a gallon of milk or a dozen of eggs. $5.00 for a gallon of milk!!! Wats up with that??? I love Ron Paul, but dang he’s in his 70″s, come on.. . .those vulture’s in the white house would give him a heart attack. Rick. .. i’m Catholic, but i would never be so nieve as to force our religious beliefs upon the nation. That’s not the job of the Oval Office. It’s all about the economy and guarding our boarder and the rest will fall into place. I’m still holding out for a white, black, pink, purple knight to come riding in to save the day. . . i really don’t care what color!! Just as long as he’s not a politician!!
I measure a person by several things, but the most important is, would I follow this person into combat. only Newt stands the test in that reguard. Daddy war bucks laccks the fire in his belly and is seeking The White house on greed. being a 1%, I am sideways over the fact that others feel they have a right to my money. As for taxing the people, well kids, if you use the system, you be paying for the system. Flat tax makes it all fair. Then we can place all those lovely folks sucking on the federal tit out to pasture. Let the ex federal employees have a go at what the real world has been doing. Stop state drivers license reneals and go to a national license. Pay for it once and never have to renew it till you are 75 years old. Heck you proved you could drive. I have to go lie down, I’m getting all worked up.
I think Newt is the best way to defeat Obama. No one can tell by the Dems (they use lies and deceit) who they most fear. Newt is their fear. He can have Obama on the mat before he even gets started. We don’t need a preacher to be president; we need a tough, experienced glib and desisive president who knows his way around Washington and the world with a lot of old fashion swaggar as a proud American.
I can’t see how the Tea Party could reconcile its support for Romney or Newt. Both supported the bailouts, global warming, and individual health insurance mandates.
Very well done lets get this message out all over our country, The time is NOW .Lets do it.
A picture or video speaks 1000 words. The Tea Party does not represent the Majority of the individuals who are called Americans. As they pan out at the end of the video you can see this in the lack of diversity represented.
I am very impressed with Jenny’s response, it was right on. Jenny, keep up the good work as our T. P. Patriots leader. With my best regards, Andy
Well Said. I have been in support of the Tea Party objectives from the very beginning. Remember that we are the same brand of patriots that broke the tyranny that attempted to rule over us when this great country was born. We fought then and we fight now.
Liberals have good reason to be terrified of what we stand for.
GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
If Time is Now – then why don’t you endorse the one candidate who will make REAL cuts? Either you have no guts, or the Tea Party is just another Traditional Republican Scheme to get votes for a Bush-copy-cat. If Ron Paul is not electable than NOBODY who proposes real cuts is!
Hey Bill, Was just reading your post. As I have told my friends the Tea Party is not about candidates, its about ideas. By not endorsing specific candidates we don’t get into all the political pandering that goes on. I want people who believe in my ideas. By committing to endorse ideas we force whomever is running to focus on the same. If everyone in this country stopped getting tied up in personalities and focused on the issues we would all be better off. The key is stay positive though and know that a majority of Americans believe as we do, in a core set of ideas that are what make this country great!!!!!!!
I don’t believe the Tea Party is gone or dying. We are more stealth now. We are here supporting our courageous leaders. Go Go Tea Party Patriots.
There should be more outrage from the teaparty leader in response to Obama’s SPTU, Obama basically delivered another campaign speech without addressing any of the current problems facing the nation. He still wants to tax the rich and creating larger government, even if he force the rich to give up all their wealth to the government, it will not solve our economic problem, we don’t have a cash problem but spending problem. The rhetoric sounds good but it hasn’t solved any of the problems in the last three years. We should demand for Obama to keep his campaign promise that if he can’t turn the economy around in three years then he should be a one term president.
Fair taxation means that everyone pays, instead of hopping on the 4% wealthiest Americans how about the 50% of Americans who don’t pay taxes, since they enjoy what this country has to offer, they should pay their share. Just saying……
Still a proud member of the tea party…….you represent us well. Come on 2012!!!!
There is a technical problem with the playback on this video…audio vs. video is a little off and difficult to appreciate the speakers intelligence with her lips moving wrong….
Love the message though, hair on the back of my neck sprang up at the end. “the time is NOW!”
what an excellent effort but let’s face it: “the time is now” for a better video communicator
Obama’s Motto: We got what it takes to take what you got… Well!!!!! We the people, the Constitutional patriots , The Tea Party, will show the petulant president what happens when his tyranical regime threatens the freedom loving , hard working everyday Americans and don’t forget our military heroes, past and present.
I will not let this poor erxcuse for a representative of America to continue to threaten the very lives of my children and grandchildren.
I demand his impeachment process along with the treasonous Eric Holder begin immediately. (my Senators have this message) IMPEACH NOW< SAVE OUR REPUBLIC…
wow you are 1 of the few people I have heard talk impeachment, I agree and along with him a whole list of other politicians who’s only goal is to line their pockets with as much money as they can beg barrow or steal from the American people. It is so sad to see all the spineless people with their hero’s mask on pointing the finger at “the other guy” doing the SAME thing he is but the corruption goes so deep because all the career politicians have so much dirt on each other and owed favors ect. that nothing will ever be done to turn this country around until we just clean house and FIRE them, that’s what would happen to any of us if we did wrong we would have to pay the price now they need too.
This was shared with me !
THOMAS SOWELL – OCCUPY WALL STREET
..This should be read by everyone. What is missing from Sowell’s biographical sketch is the fact that he started out as a Marxist and with education and time realized the terrible flaws in the Marxist theories. This is his hardest hitting commentary to date and is absolutely correct.
**************************************************************************************
Thomas Sowell (born June 30, 1930) is an American economist, social theorist, political philosopher, and author. A National Humanities Medal winner, he advocates laissez-faire economics and writes from a libertarian perspective. He is currently a Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
Sowell was born in North Carolina, but grew up in Harlem, New York. He dropped out of high school, and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He had received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in 1958 and a master’s degree from Columbia University in 1959. In 1968, he earned his doctorate degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
Dr. Sowell has served on the faculties of several universities, including Cornell and University of California, Los Angeles, and worked for “think tanks” such as the Urban Institute. Since 1980 he has worked at the Hoover Institution. He is the author of more than 30 books.
By Dr. Sowell
The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama’s America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is
an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.
It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American
civil society.
It is an America where humans have been degraded to the level of animals: defecating in public, having sex in public, devoid of basic hygiene. It is an America where the basic tenets of a civil society, including faith, family, a free press and individual rights, have been rejected. It is an America where our founding documents have been shredded and, with them, every person’s guaranteed liberties.
It is an America where, ultimately, great suffering will come to the American people, but the rulers like Obama, Michelle Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, liberal college professors, union bosses and other loyal liberal/Communist Party members will live in opulent splendor.
It is the America that Obama and the Democratic Party have created with the willing assistance of the American media, Hollywood , unions, universities, the Communist Party of America, the Black Panthers and numerous anti-American
foreign entities.
Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in four years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of.
The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the annihilation of America .
“Socialism, in general, has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.”
Thomas Sowell
I completely disagree with the message given here. If this is all the Tea Party has to offer, I’ll be looking elsewhere for ideas about the direction of this country.
“We can’t wait”? Every one of the items about which Ms. Martin claims “we can’t wait” are nothing but rehashed 1% talking points. I believe the true, original Tea Party is not represented by this group of talking puppets.
How’s your bank account lately, Ms. Martin?
your all a bounch of idiots. deregulation of the market and agencies without any teeth is what got us in the econmic collapse.
I can think of 1 way every person in congress and the president can start cutting the budget they can take at least a 20% pay cut and they need to stop paying every president a life long early retirement for just putting in 4 to 8 YEARS service. We the people don’t get that why should they? All of them write books give speeches and go on to other careers, why should the American people have to foot the bill? They throw big party’s to impress their ?. We pay for that! Why? are we invited? Obama buys 2 bus’s so he can tour around the US. How much of the people’s money do they give foreign countries? When Americans are homeless! A lot of government employee’s get cars and many other perks while they expect Americans to ride the bus! They talk about how we should give up our gas sucking cars while they ride around in limo’s and fly everywhere in their private jets.
I was sooo mad when I was listening to what little of the State of the union sitcom I could stomach when Obama was talking about the housing market crash and how the banks and others who caused that to happen should be held accountable NEWS FLASH he was apart of the committeeman that introduced that legislature into effect. What is his speech writer a freshman in college or what? Mr. Obama’s 1 and ONLY true quality is he is a smooth talker. What I can’t believe is we were going to impeach Clinton for lying and from what little I try to hear from Mr Obama can anyone refresh my memory as to weather he has told the truth 1 time?
PROUD MEMBER OF THE TEA PARTY
It is a sad display that we have witnessed in the last few days, I have been a registered republican since 1980, but I have to say, the Republican establishment, is showing us that change cannot come to this party, they will assasinate the caracter and record of any competition in the party, If Ron Paul or rick Santorum would be competing in the polls you would see the same tactics against them, Romney has been picked and he will be the nominee , because he has promised to keep the crony system and insure the spoils of victory. While not a Markist as is Obama, we will continue on the same path, While Newt has lots of flaws, What was his record of voting while in office. We need to organize as a political Party, be on the ballots, not this year, but in the future, we must adopt a platform or constitution that all candidates must adher to or they cannot represent the party, I do believe we can win elections at the state level and pressure both parties in the process, the issues we see are dictated by the press, the Tea party has brought new issues to the table, but did you really see anyone talk about debts and defecits. Lets start to talk about moving to a viable political opposition.
“…The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama’s America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.”
I think you have the protesters confused with the people they are protesting. That description fits Wall Street bankers much better than it does the members of the Occupy Movement. I cant believe that anyone in the TP actually supports corporate executives who made their money through their political connections, from speculating with other people’s money, and not from competing and winning in an open market doing work that actually delivered a service or produced a product that was useful to someone…
I’m really confused. I joined the Tea Party to register against more spending and higher taxes. My focus is and will remain on getting conservative “tea Party” types elected to senate and house seats both statewide and nationally. As long is we can fill those seats with desirables, it is not really that important that we have a Tea Party endorsement of a president. I’m voting for the individual most likely to win against Obama – Romney. As Tea Partiers, think about this. There is no way anyone strung with the banner “Tea Party Endorsed” can possibly win. Lets focus on senators and representives.
“There is no way anyone strung with the banner “Tea Party Endorsed” can possibly win.”
Sooo… you’re saying you belong to an organization that would cause the political defeat of what you say you want. And you are also willing to vote for someone that does not fit into the 3 main Tea Party principles.
You are confused! Either support what you truly want & believe in, or continue being a sheeple afraid to do those things.
Phil, many of us disagree with the conventional wisdom that Romney is the best match up against Obama, arguing that we need someone who actually *contrasts* with the President. Not only will Romney be unable to criticize ObamaCare (his weak federalism argument supporting state level statism a la RomneyCare will not sell) but he will not repeal it.
I agree that our main focus needs to be on Congress, but Mitt Romney will be easily painted as Gordon Gekko from Wall Street and Obama will defeat him.
I’d say: The time is now to support Ron Paul!
We can’t wait for the other candidates to support those things that you said yourself are most important.
If the Tea Party Patriots can’t support the ONLY candidate in the Major Parties that supports what we say are the most important things, why have a Tea Party?
Because you’re missing the cororllary…..IS ELECTABLE.
Paul isn’t electable for a host of reasons, many pointed out on Townhall.com.
If you don’t support who is electable, then you don’t win. Get it?
1. So… you’d be willing to support someone who you think is more electable but who does not support our 3 main principles? I’d say, what’s the point in that!?
2. Why do you think Ron Paul is unelectable? I’ve seen polls where Ron Paul does much better in a match-up against Obama than either Newt or Santorum and about the same as Romney. I’d argue Ron Paul would wind up doing better than Romney, because Ron Paul would get more of the dissatisfied crossover Democrat & Independent votes than Romney would.
Frank, All your postings about voting for Ron Paul in baseball terms would be a swing and a miss!
Because we have to have some sense about things, Frank. Though this falls on deaf ears every time that I have this conversation with a supporter of Dr. Paul, he is utterly unelectable.
You may agree with his isolationist foreign policy positions, but middle America will never EVER elect a guy who lacks a basic understanding of how the world really works outside of our borders. Obama’s people would run commercials 24/7 showing Ron Paul inexplicably expressing no concern about Iran obtaining nukes and that would be the Ron Paul version of Johnson’s Daisy ad against Goldwater. That would end Ron Paul’s campaign.
I think that Ron Paul supporters need to get out of their echo chamber sometimes and realize how the rest of the electorate would view him.
1. He’s not unelectable (see comments above by me & others as well as national polls).
2. I guess you still like to repeat the false establishment mantra that Ron Paul is isolationist. He supports our Founding Fathers belief in a strong defense, free trade & non-interventionist foreign policy. We can’t afford to be the world’s policeman anyways, even if you thought it was a good idea. So the point becomes moot!
I think big government Ds & Rs that insist on heading this nation towards a fiscal collapse & continued erosion of our freedoms need to wake up and realize we need to abandon the old left vs right or liberal vs conservative glasses & look at the real problem: big Unconstitutional government vs small Constitutional government. I should think Tea Party Patriots would want the latter.
I understand your position, Frank. But you guys need to be more practical about the rest of the American Electorate. Even Joe Biden would *crush* Ron Paul in a national election, and that is saying something.
A vote for Ron Paul is like bowling a gutterball and feel good about how straight it went down the channel completely missing the pins.
I am a proud Tea Party Patriot.
Newt is just another Big Government progressive. I’m starting to lose my faith in the teaparty. They’re not doing their homework. Newt believes in the individual health mandate, amnesty and global warming. What more do we need to know? If this wasn’t rigged it would be Santoram and Paul as the front runners. But we have 2 big government fools decking it out as to who is the most corrupt. Both of them had dealings with Freddie and Fannie. Newt is a fantastic debator, but he uses the same style as Obama. Even if the questions are off topic he diverts it and never answers it. Works great now, but believe me the heat will come down if he wins the nomination.
Obama’s resume to me is like the following:
They forgot to mention he was the first president to talk about 57
states for America.
Who said he hasn’t done anything?
An impressive list of accomplishments!
First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny
he was a foreigner.
First President to have a social security number from a state he has
never lived in.
First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United
States .

third party.
First President to spend a trillion dollars on ‘shovel-ready’ jobs when
there was no such thing as ‘shovel-ready’ jobs.
First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of
companies to his union supporters.
First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through
executive fiat.
First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the
deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S. , including those with
criminal convictions.
First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his
political appointees.
First President to terminate America ‘s ability to put a man in
space-defunded NASA.
First President to have a law signed by an auto-pen without being
present.
First President to arbitrarily declare an existing law unconstitutional
and refuse to enforce it.
First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly
spoke-out on the reasons for their rate increases.

protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN).
First President to withdraw an existing coal permit that had been
properly issued years ago.

one of his friends in a corruption case.
First President to appoint 45 czars to replace elected officials in his

First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it.
First President to not know how to properly pronounce Navy ‘corpsman’.
First President to go on multiple global ‘apology tours’-including
bowing to foreign rulers.
First President to go on 17 lavish vacations, including date nights and
