Obama’s “Recess” Games

At his Inauguration on January 20, 2009, Barack Obama swore an oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
On January 4, 2012, President Obama broke his oath.
The so-called “recess appointment” of Rich Cordray as Czar of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) was described by Investor’s Business Daily as having “crossed over from socialistic extremism into lawlessness and, perhaps, impeachability.”
Why such harsh words? Because this “recess appointment” (of the head of a powerful regulatory body, with Czar-like control over America’s once-free market system) was done by the President of the United States while the Senate was not in recess.
That means the Constitutional requirement that the American people have a say in such appointments, through our duly-elected representatives, was thwarted by the President.
The purpose of the Constitution is to enumerate, and then limit, the powers of government. It was an affront to America’s founding principles to even create a department like CFPB, with unlimited power over our once-free markets and the ability to set its own budget. But it was an assault on the Constitution, and a breaking of the President’s Inaugural oath, to “recess appoint” the head of CFPB while the Senate was not in recess.
Some say that Tea Partiers are anti-government. That is not correct. We are for the American government as it was founded. And it was founded specifically to limit the power of government, to give the People a voice in our government, and to secure our liberties so we can pursue our happiness and achieve the American Dream in what used to be a free market system.
All of that was violated when the President made his un-Constitutional recess appointment to an un-American regulatory body with unchecked power over our once-free markets – while ignoring the will of the people through our duly-elected representatives.

Our President has been ignoring “we the people” since he took the oath of presidentcy and, in my opinion, he hasn’t been defending, preserving and protecting our Constitution.
What will he accomplish in 2012? He and his “czars” are going to make it as bad as they can. He is un-American — he should be impeached! Having Joe Biden as our President would be just as bad.

As a 22 year active duty Army veteran and ordained Methodist minister I take issue with your contemptuous, derisive, and fact-challenged opinion. The President as Commander-in-Chief has doen an outstanding job of leading our military. His leadership led to the elimination of one of our nation’s greatest enemies Osama Bin Laden. His formal ending of our involvement in the Iraq war will stop the ceaseless deployment of service members and family separations. His appointment of Richard Cordray (a devout Christian) will help to ensure our service members are no longer targeted by fly-by-night financial institutions out for a quick buck. I suggest you read up on Holly Petraeus (wife of former General Petraeus and current CIA Director) a longtime advocate for military families who now holds a senior post in the CFPB. They are all working together to protect hard working Americans from the immoral, unscrupulous financial industry “Vultures” that played a starring role in leading our nation into financial meltdown. Lastly, its “Dierector” of the CFPB, not “Czar” please stick to the facts.

I don’t think the recess appointment was right. But let’s put things in percpective. Obama has made 33 recess appointments and Bush made 167 while Clinton made 136. Again, I don’t think it’s right, but it’s just another political game. We need to get back to the Constitution and quit letting political games rule our country. Like the Keystone Pipeline. Build that badboy and lets make a move to get this country back on track!

Maybe nobody’s started impeachment hearings because he hasn’t actually done anything worthy of impeachment. Just a thought.

Do you think that Obama passing a law that gives the government power to through anyone in prison without trial and no evidence and holding them only on ” suspicion” for as long as he wants is ok?

This President is out of control and continues to ignore the constitution to push his ‘Socialistic’ agenda. Let’s do something about it and not continue to complain and not act. It’s time for impeachment, as his “Out of Control” spending, partying with the Hollywood crowd and lavish vacations are beyond hypocracy, as he asks the American taxpayers to cut back, “Eat our peas”, etc., while they foot the bill for his millions of dollars spent on King Obama & Queen Obam’s lavish lifestyles, “Eat our peas”, etc., all while he’s off living like a king. Look the Messiah has been a failure for all that don’t believe in Cloward and Piven conversion of America. Wearing a uniform doesn’t get a pass from education of why and how America was formed. Democrats continuous handouts of housing to the drum beat of Dodd, Frank and Waters caused the monetary collapse that have awaken us to the point we find ourselves, not republicans deregulation like you falsely accuse for your malfunction. So don’t worry for or with TPP inching forward election by election until our elected patriots coral in waste and what you earn you can keep and not spew away in taxes. At some point you should at least look up the words meanings of what you post then make better decisions.
I am not sure we can blame President Obama for his escalating constitutional transgressions. Before his election It was well known that Obama was a collectivist (socialist/communist). He did not hide the fact that he had distain for our Constitution and certainly indicated that he would not uphold the constitution before he was elected. It was known that he had strong associations with known Terrorists, Communists and world wide Socialists before he was elected. Yet the American People elected him anyway. In short, Americans got what we ask for.
We the People could have made a mistake, and the checks and balances should have sheltered us from the ravages of an unintended despot or tyrant. The fact is that Congress has been declared by Obama ,et.al, as being irrelavent. They, leadership included, refuse to act in accordance with their Constitutional duties. Collectively Congress is nothing more than a cadre of overpaid pusillanimous politicians – as wothless to us as they are to Obama.
As for me, I will continue to support the Tea Party. But in my spair time I am hunkering down to defend myself against Obama’s rendition of the Storm Troopers, Gestapo and KGB. I encourage other freedom loving people to do the same. As I see it, Obama is likely to be your next president. I hope not, but I believe it is likely and there is little that we the people can do about it. A Billion Dollar Campaign, and total controll over the Federal Reserve Bank really do assure that likelyhood.

Soni, Congress cannot do anything because you have a Democrat controlled Senate and a Democrat in the White House that blocks things from getting done. Whatever congress tries to do the senate blocks it. The only way to get things done in order to change anything is to have a Republican congress, which we DO have and a Republican controlled senate, which we DON’T have. Imagine for a second what can be accomplished with a Republican congress, a Republican senate and a Republican in the White House. But, if we at least had a Republican controlled senate together with the Republican controlled congress then that would make president Obama a lame duck president meaning they will hold up many of his requests. That is why it is important to elect republican for the senate and congress together with a republican president in order to get things done. Mr. Obama, a Democrat had a democratic congress and a democratic senate for his first two years in office, that is how he got Obamacare passed, they were all one. And wait until 2013 when all their regulations come forward, you won’t recognize America. That’s why we need to change what’s happening in Washington. Pay very close attention Soni and pray….

………..why do people fail to realize that in terms of the rest of the developed world, we have a small government…….. Honestly European countries have better education, healthcare, and live longer than most Americans. I’m not an advocate for socialism as I believe that it is a faulty economic system, but in terms of education and healthcare it is a good thing to have. However, when big government spending starts to interfere with debt and economic progress then it becomes a tumor onthe economy and must be cut to stop complete economic meltdown. Obama is a relatively good guy, but he needs to make some changes with his policies for America to continue to be the biggest economic and militaristic power.

Our country is at a crossroads with this election coming up. Mr. Obama doesn’t care anything about this country except for the fact he has an opportunity to run it into the ground and strip us of our rights and getting his smug picture in our history books as the first black president. How sad is that? He has surrounded himself with vowed communists and socialists and that, in and of itself, should tell the American people something. The true reality is that come this November when the people have a say in all of this many will turn tail and go the other way should they believe the lies Mr. Obama spews out in his campaign speeches and TV ads. “We The People” need to stick together if we want a real change and that means voting for the republican candidate even if you aren’t a 100% thrilled with him. Let’s face it, there is no perfect man walking this earth right now. Whether we have Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, or Rick Santorum as our candidate you MUST vote for him. The very biggest mistake anyone of us can make is to say, “I am not happy with any of them so I am not voting.” Think then of what you are doing, by doing nothing at all you just gave a vote to Obama. Should you be this person, Shame on you. You should then go away and never complain again because if you do this, you are part of the problem and we’ll pray for you. We need to stand strong together, and NO THIRD PARTY VOTING, we MUST ALL VOTE TOGETHER. Mr. Obama is counting on that third person vote, don’t give in to that. ALSO, now comes the time when we need to inform our young people who are being spoon fed the socialistic bulls–t in their colleges and universities and now the high school and grade schools are teaching them. YES, it is important to maintain a clean environment and yes we need to recycle etc but these schools have many, many, many teachers and professors who are brainwashing our young people of the liberalism and socialistic values and not teaching them about our constitution and what our forefathers gave us in this great and wonderful country. By teaching them all about a safe and clean environment and going green, and all about liberalism tells me it is a distraction from teaching them the real subjects they went to school to learn. They are taught not to work hard and make an honest living because the rich out there should cover you, after all they’re making enough. OMG! Where are we going with these kids. After this election, and GOD please hear our prayers, after we get rid of Mr. Obama we should turn our attention to the colleges and universities and look into the curriculums being taught and by whom. If you are in the 60s, 70s, or 80s age bracket, then you have to remember Nikita Khrushchev, a Soviet statesman from Russia at that time, when he spoke at the UN general assembly on Oct. 12, 1960 when he took a shoe and banged it on the podium yelling to the Americans, “We will bury you from within.” Think about it, socialist media, socialist Hollywood making movies our young people are absorbed in, communist and socialist teachers and professors, board games, hand held games and computer games all capturing and brainwashing the young minds of our future generations. Now stop and reflect, think about the faces of Occupy Wall Street, think about who you see in all the protests against the establishment and listen to what they’re saying. And yes, I am very sorry to have to say this, but the unions aren’t helping either. They don’t give a hoot about what the kids are being taught as long as they are getting what they want from the Democrats, yes the Democrats more so than the Republicans. All you have to do is look at how much money they give to them and watch who they backj in any election. Both my grandfathers fought in World War I, my father and 7 uncles fought in World War II, 1 uncle fought in the Korean War and my husband and two cousins fought in the Viet Nam War. We were all once strong Democrats but when one of my grandfathers saw what was happening in 1967 with Viet Nam and how Lyndon B. Johnson (our president at the time) was running this country he said, and this was in 1967, no more Democrats for us. He saw through what they were doing and how this country was turning around. The last true, really dedicated American who was a Democratic president was JFK. He saw what was happening in Viet Nam and started to withdraw and I believe that is why he was killed. The politicians had to much to lose if we pulled out of Viet Nam. That was a war for the politicians and all their big corporate friends who were making money at the time in Viet Nam. You poor naive fool…. I do have a college education, a “Real” one, one from when teachers and professors weren’t professing liberalism, when they were unbiased and taught “Real” subjects. My major was American History and Constitutional law before I changed over to Predmed. We were taught about socialism, communism, marxism and learned much about Lenin, so much so that we learned how to identify it. Not like what you have been taught. You aren’t taught that today, today the distraction is all about clean energy and going green and recycling, which is all well and good but they are not teaching you about your Amerian History or what your Constitution says. When Mr. Obama says he wants to spread the wealth, what do you think socialism is? Education? I am the one with the REAL college education not you poor naive fools. Try looking outside the box and be open to new information, open up an encyclopedia and get reacquainted with the history of our country. And if you don’t believe there’s a lot of socialists and communists in Washington, you are truly not paying attention to what is going on inside the beltway. You can disagree with me but the facts are there my friend and perhaps maybe I struck a sensitive nerve that got you riled up. However, you’re right about one thing, it “IS” actually funny how stupid some people look when they act like they know economics but it is even more sad and pathetic when you have people who don’t know their history and follow the propaganda that is given to them through the newspapers, TV news and Democrats who are the extreme left wing liberals determined to bring America down. They cannot care about you or me or this country when they can run it into the ground like Mr. Obama and his Democrat controlled Congress and Senate did for 2 years. Yes, Mr. Obama inherited a mess when he took office but instead of trying to fix it he went the other way borrowing more and more money, more in 3 years in office than George W. Bush did in 8 years. Our national debt under George Bush went up 4 trillion dollars in 8 years and that includes the tragedies of 9/11, the Iraq war and Katrina to mention just a few things. Obama on the other hand raised it over 4 billion in less than 3 years with no major tragedies taking place. In fact Paul, Mr. Obama during his campaign speeches in 2007 and 2008 said regarding the deficit that President Bush was unamerican because he raised it 4 trillion dollars while in office. Economics my friend, do you know how much money we all pay in taxes? And where has it gone? I don’t know if you’re young or old or middle aged or if you have kids or grandchildren but I for one don’t like bailing out companies and banks because they didn’t run their businesses properly. There are not enough rich people in this country to tax them more to help bail us out without having them stop investing (that will cause the stock market to drop and interest rates to rise for credit cards, mortgages, car loans, etc). Business owners and the rich are the ones hiring people to work (tax them even more and they will cut back their staff, I am unemployed right now for exactly that reason, Obamacare). I worked for 37 years in the healthcare industry; hospitals are shutting down, doctors are looking for other ways to earn a living and some are leaving the country. I have never received a pay check from a poor person. Obama is asking to raise taxes on the rich, that will only compound the problems we are facing in our economy right now. When the rich “earn” their income they pay 35% in taxes and then when they invest it and get a return on their capital gains on the “same money” they pay another 15%; that is a total of 50% on their income. I don’t know if you go to church or give to charities but our good Book tells us to tithe and that’s only 10% and to give unto Ceasar what is Ceasar’s, 10%. It doesn’t say to give half to Ceasar and 10% to our church or charity. Are you a Wall street protester who feels the rich should pay more and that we should all be one and fair across the board? If you are then maybe moving to another country whose economy is run like that is where you should be. If you are concerned about what I said about the schools in our nations, there again kind sir you should speak to some people who have spent thousands and thousands of dollars to send their kids to school and come out more confused about their country and screwed up more about how they should work for a living starting from the bottom like we all had to do when I was growing up, if in fact they can find a job after spending all that money on tuition. You have to earn your credentials and your money and your corner office if that is what you want in life. But if you want to play games, stay at home, carry a sign in protest lines and sleep in parks and feel justified for it then you should at least go in front of the White House and your Democratic controlled Senate because they are the reason we are where we are today. Act like I know econmics? Go back and look at everything I have said here and check it all out. For the most part it is all very accurate, maybe I didn’t articulate it as well as you would like it but it is all very, very true. Stop listening to the Socialistic news organizations otherwise my friend you will never know the truth and have the opportunities your parents had, you will never live in a free country. Study your constitution, learn how our forefathers structured our nation and what the politician’s jobs were suppose to be like in order for America to remain strong.
