Mark Herr has been involved in the Tea Party Movement since February 2009 as a local organizer within the Midsouth Tea Party of Memphis Tennessee. He saw Rick Santelli’s rant on CNBC and couldn’t sit on the sidelines any longer. Shortly after the 2009 Tax Day Tea Parties’ Mark began seeking out like-minded citizens to “preserve our Constitutional Republic.”
Mark believes the federal government is, “leading our country in a direction counter-intuitive to the principles of liberty & freedom, as envisioned by our founding fathers.” He has dedicated his efforts to organizing voices in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and has traveled to Washington D.C. for several Tea Party Patriots events. He spearheads efforts with the healthcare compact, legislative focus training, increasing awareness on UN led sustainable development and hosts “The Midsouth Tea Party Radio Show.”
Mark believes the Tea Party is the last defense between the federal government and individual freedoms. He says, “We must educate the people as they are the ones who must ultimately restore a “Government of the People, By the People, and For the People.”
“Should we succeed,” he adds, “I would like to play golf again someday.”

Hi Mark. I am founder of TAFA, Tennesseans Against Forced Annexation. I have been working on legislation to change our abusive annexation laws for over a year.
